DAYS 1-5 (JUNE 12-16)

High pressure gives a cold front a final push offshore this morning and then the high is basically the dominant force in our weather for the next 5 days, holding low pressure to the south at bay. We may see some cloudiness at times, but despite some torrential downpours associated with yesterday’s humidity and approaching front, this remains a dry pattern overall.

TODAY: Clouds and showers, a few heavy, lingering over Cape Cod & The Islands until mid morning followed by clearing there. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy elsewhere. Less humid. Highs 78-85. Wind SW up to 10 MPH.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 53-60. Wind NW up to 10 MPH.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 67-72 coast, 73-78 inland. Wind NE up to 10 MPH.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 48-55. Wind NE under 10 MPH.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny. Highs 68-75, coolest coast. Wind E up to 10 MPH.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Variably cloudy. Lows 52-59. Wind E under 10 MPH.

MONDAY: Partly sunny. Highs 68-75, coolest coast. Wind E up to 10 MPH.

MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 52-59. Wind E under 10 MPH.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs 68-75, coolest coast. Wind E up to 10 MPH.

DAYS 6-10 (JUNE 17-21)

High pressure remains centered to the north and northeast of the region with an easterly to southeasterly air flow modifying temperatures while weather remains dry during the middle of next week, then high pressure shifts more to the southeast allowing a little more of a southerly wind, higher humidity, and a slight increase in the risk of a shower as another frontal boundary gets closer later next week.

DAYS 11-15 (JUNE 22-26)

With low confidence leaning toward a little bit more conventional zonal flow and a more summery feel to the pattern, but still with limited shower and thunderstorm chances.

  1. Good morning and thank you TK.

Looks coolish for a while. THANK YOU FOR THAT!!!

    re: Blog Format
I’ll stay nice. I am NOT a fan of this format in the slightest bit. No redeeming features whatsoever. Please toss it.

    1. What? No supporting video to express your true feelings? C’mon JpDave !! Let them be known ! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. Nah, not today. Sometimes that stuff is a wee bit
over the top. I need to restrain myself. See my comment to South Shore below…

  2. I like this format much better. With yesterday’s, there was too much navigation getting around.

    1. Just shows how different we all are. Hey, whether or not I like a format makes no difference whatsoever. It is the blog content that counts. I’ll be happy with whatever is ultimately chosen. πŸ™‚

  3. Thanks TK!

No surprise, high pressure wins out for the coming pattern. Once the last of today’s showers push out, zero rainfall in most of SNE for the next 7 days at least. Some indications of a change to a more favorable pattern for shower/storm chances by late month, but I think it’s already been established that for this summer, bet on high and dry. Rain/storm chances will be the exception, not the rule. We’ll also get several more “topsy turvy” temperature days over the next 7-10 days where it’s warmer north than south. Basically a repeat of what occurred about a month ago.

    1. We got lucky south of Boston late afternoon yesterday. That band of rain stayed overhead for 3 hours or so and heavy showers kept training one after the other. I’d say we saw over an inch of rain.

  4. It seems JPD and I are on the same page with layout. I am not a fan of this but it may have some widgets that add the navigation

  5. So the format I posted this in was Twenty-Nineteen, which made its first appearance last Saturday. The only thing I like is the font size. The simplicity is ok, but after a while leaves you kind of tired…

So I can safely say this one is pretty much not going to be making a return appearance as a layout. I was going to play around with some features to see if I could jazz anything up, and that was pretty much a no-go. It has no real features. Oh I think I can change the color that the links are….OOO LET ME TRY THAT! So exciting!

  6. Yup, changed them from purple to burnt orange. WOOOOO I feel like I just got a new pack of Crayola! This is the most exciting thing I’ve been able to do on the blog all DAY! πŸ˜›

  7. Ok so I am going to publish tomorrow’s blog in Twenty-Seventeen, which was the overwhelming second favorite, and Sunday’s blog will be published in Twenty-Fourteen, which was easily the overall favorite.

I’ll probably poke around with details on both of them as I find time.

  8. Thanks for all of this TK

Our lawn is as brown as it has ever been and it started off as a lush green. Plus it is only June 12

    1. As far as I know it was always down there – at least from my view anyway. With the variations in presentation across various devices, I have no way to be sure if that is consistent for everyone.

  9. Settled in at Peters Pond Campground on the Sandwich/Falmouth line. My wife and daughter are here for a week, I am back home for a few days early next week to finish the school year, then returning here. Very nice down here, sunny, 75-80 ish but still moderately humid.

  10. I am always on mobile here most of the time. i like this format but it looks zoomed in on my phone. I can’t zoom out. i am not sure if anyone else is having the same issue on mobile

    1. By zoomed, do you mean large, seeing only a few lines of txt and having to scroll a bunch! If so…I just checked my phone and yes
