School reopening battles brewing, with some (Yaneer Bar-Yam, Eric Topol) arguing against in-person classes, while others (notably Avik Roy in today’s WSJ) arguing in favor.
Roy fails to consider that successful school reopening in Europe occurred in countries with low test positivity (lower than 2%, except France). I think Cuomo and Baker get it right in this regard – first ensure very low test positivity, then reopen.
I can’t open but based on your comment suspect I would agree.
I cannot recall whether I shared Belmont’s reopening. It is common sense. I say that With a slight reservation as I have not having seen Their safety guidelines. But if this is an indication, I’d be surprised if I still do not agree. Belmont has always been one of the very best school systems in the state. Lexington as well and I liked their roll out approach

I believe this article by Avik Roy is behind a pay wall (I have a paper copy, as a person in my building never picks up his Saturday WSJ): https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-its-mostly-safe-to-reopen-the-schools-11596812466
