Joshua, Macs brothers oldest works at a hospital in CA….in area where covid first spiked. She posted this on FB and I thought of you. I really wish people would work as hard on doing what we should to stop the virus as they do on trying to deny how dangerous it is
Yesterday, Andover teachers refused to go into school buildings to participate in their Professional Development activities. They prefer to do their PDs outside.
I don’t know enough about what Andover was doing. Were teachers all in one room or somehow separated. I hadn’t thought about how the PD would be conducted. Thanks Philip
I found this. It seems they are making a statement about hybrid learning more than PD. They cannot strike. Maybe this is a valid alternative. Either way, I support them. The ventilation systems in the majority of schools are not adequate…..and that is just a start.
It’s definitely about the PD for now but once students return then classroom instruction will be the next issue.
Vicki, thanks for sharing the Instagram post!
The gradual decline in deaths continues. Good. Sunday and Monday saw a small decrease in cases nationwide. Good. Missouri, Iowa, and several jurisdictions in the Midwest are seeing spikes in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. Not good.
Spain appears to be undergoing a genuine 2nd wave, triggered by a rather reckless reopening. Because of travel restrictions between countries I don’t think Spain’s dramatic increase in cases will lead to a significant jump throughout the continent. But, France does appear to be the other Western European country that is experiencing a robust increase in cases.
