1. Still -44F at Arctic Village and 20 to 30 below at many other interior Alaska reporting stations. I love when it gets so cold, that the airmass can be seen on an infrared satellite picture with various shades of blue (I think its blue).

2. Its only a matter of time before that cold air invades the lower 48. This pattern can’t go on forever so hang in everyone.

   1. At least this warm regime isn’t occurring during December or January.
