Yet another Patriots game (vs. Broncos) is moved to Monday night. A lot good it did last time vs. Chiefs.
Joshua, how can one day make that much of a difference preventing a team outbreak? I would think at least a full week (or maybe 3-4 days?) if there is at least 1 “positive” case.
A full week probably wouldn’t be realistic of course given the very tight schedule of the NFL. Hopefully “bubbling” will be done during the playoffs leading up to the SB.
One day makes NO difference. It’s silly, actually.
NFL is all about the money. No surprise. They don’t want to lose games, because games are … more revenue.
By the way, what I wrote in early August on immunity to the coronavirus – which was based on an interview I did with a well-respected immunologist – is being refuted by the data coming in. Ultimately, good science is science that can be refuted. So, I have no qualms about having written what I did. But, the Madrid, Lombardy, Paris, and New York City data are all pointing to the fact that we’re nowhere close to herd immunity. I wonder how many of the people testing positive today in these regions are reinfected. Probably not many. But, I don’t know. This coronavirus is a royal pain in the butt.
How is it being Refuted? Are they saying he’d immunity works?
I certainly did my part. Yesterday I received my mail-in ballot and put it in the USPS mailbox on my way in to work this morning. Such a simple process. I just hope voters don’t make hard work of it.
Biden 1, Trump 0 🙂
Hehehe. We have our ballots. I will deliver to box at town hall.
Odd that the dr says trump will be fine on Saturday because if is 10th day. First…..when is 10 the norm? He is either still receiving some meds or just off of them. Second…,10 days from Thursday which trump.and company insists was his first positive is Sunday. But of course we all know the doctor knew exactly what he was saying when he said 72 hours last Saturday which put the first positive on Wednesday.
I wonder how FLOTUS is doing lately? Not one word of her condition since she tested positive and that it was a “mild” case. If Trump wasn’t so hostile to the media, they would probably ask how she is doing every now and then, not that Trump would tell the truth anyway, and not to mention violating every CDC guideline.
Her or hicks or christie. And the SS person mentioned yesterday who is in quite poor condition. I don’t get it
It was very wise of Gov. Baker not to cancel trick-or-treat on Halloween to discourage indoor parties. Personally I always felt that trick-or-treating could be done safely through “Covid” mask wearing and social distancing. It’s not the same as huge numbers of college students gathering in the quad on campus or wherever. Although I believe some towns have already banned it. I hope Boston Mayor Walsh doesn’t.
The problem is that the candy handed out is handled and rehandled by who knows who. We are planning to make a haunted house in our garage for the grandkids and then scatter candy in back yard. We have a large outdoor screen and projector so will watch a halloween movie outside afterwards. I think the kids are more excited about that than regular halloween. And for my oldest grand, halloween tops even Christmas – it always has.
CDC is warning against it. But if someone wants to give out candy and to trick or treating, then that is fine also.
I just listened to that …there were a ton of disclaimers. In one school in a metrowest town, in 12 days of In school 17 teachers have been absent for various illnesses. Remembering that they wear masks that are to prevent them from getting covid, one would wonder how they contracted illnesses and that however that was th I just listened to that …there were a ton of disclaimers. No idea what happened there but too tired to worry about it. Thanks for the link. A bunch of good info as well as questionable
