Gov. Baker pointed out that cases in Canada spiked two weeks after their Thanksgiving last month. I guess it happening here in the U.S. is inevitable?
Depends on how smart we are. Having a small & safe gathering with my mom. Every single precaution and safe-guard will be used.
Boston Common frog pond ice skating is cancelled for this year.
I can’t think of any event this year that hasn’t been cancelled or at least greatly modified other than the changing of clocks (EST =>EDT=>EST).
Researchers from Brigham & Women’s Hospital is developing a nasal spray that can prevent the transmission of respiratory viruses by capturing and killing the inhaled aerosols in the nasal cavity. The pocket-sized spray coats the nasal cavity for up to 4 hours without irritation or sensory impairment, and can be used as a barrier when masks aren’t feasible such as when eating and drinking. Researchers will test the spray against Covid-19 soon. The spray is drug free and will be cleared via mucus and expelled from the body through digestion 3-4 hours after use.
Wow. I had not seen this. I had seen a Brigham doctor is on Biden’s advisory team.
Covid advisory team…sorry
I would love to know Joshua’s take on this.
Drs.Vivek Murthy, Marcella Nunez-Smith and Atul Gawande all have connections with BWH. They will be part of President Elect Biden’s COVID-19 task force.
Great info. Thanks, Philip. Biden is certainly picking knowledgeably
Decent article on why the current wave is so dangerous. See link below. Please note, however, that the 7-day moving average of deaths is even higher than the article states. It’s 1,180. Today 1,260 deaths were reported. Highest number on a Saturday since April.
