Vicki, I’m sorry but I don’t have an answer to the question you posed on BCG vaccines.
I know that I responded to a booster MMR – which I had to get in 1995, otherwise I could not begin my Harvard fellowship – by getting mumps, well, a version of mumps. It was scary how sick I got, with swelling and redness. I told the person who administered my first Pfizer shot last week, and he wrote it down but didn’t think it mattered.
Thanks, Joshua. Sorry to hear that. I remember when I had mumps back in the 50s that my parents moved my brothers bed into my room. They wanted him to get mumps then because they knew how bad it could be for older males.
Not sure this has been shared here. Very interesting
Got our second Pfizer shots yesterday morning. Side effects didn’t hit until 3-4am. Mostly as advertised. Muscle pain and lethargic but no fever.
That’s good to hear, North.
Good news. Hopefully they will be gone soon
Many of my Colleagues in India are being impacted by this
latest wave. They are also telling me that there are crowds at the vaccination sites which must be helping to spread it even more.
So very sad.
Indeed. 300k cases today. Every day the number rises, as well as deaths. Probably massively underreported.
New DESE quarantine guidelines…
2. Update on Quarantine Guidance for Close Contacts:
The following update to the quarantine guidance for close contacts was approved by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services after consultation with the Governor’s Medical Advisory Board on COVID-19 and other medical advisors. This updated guidance is effective immediately!
Close contacts who were exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual in the classroom or on the bus while both individuals were masked do not have to quarantine unless they were within 3 feet of distance of the COVID-19 positive individual for a total of 15 minutes during a 24-hour period. This does not apply if someone was identified as a close contact outside of the classroom or bus (e.g., in sports, extra-curriculars, lunch, etc.) or if masks are not worn by both persons at the time of the exposure. All other close contacts must follow the standard protocol for when a close contact may return to school.
This is humor right? Most schools are a three feet. For the entire day. And buses are shoulder to shoulder
It does explain why school positives have increased so much
I apologize. I was remiss in not thanking you for the update. I do know this is from DESE and certainly not from you, Dave.
C-19 for 4-21 is ready.
