Thanks TK.
Medical officials are now saying that annual boosters will not be necessary and that the 3 shots will provide enough protection for life.
Hmmm. What do you think about that Joshua?
I call bullshit.
I’d use a more diplomatic term like “premature conclusion” if speaking to colleagues, but among friends I might say b.s. until we know more.
of course, but we are among friends.
Sure would be great if that were the case I just don’t see that happening with all that has transpired so far.
Let us all hope this finding is true and is actually realized.
I agree with both of you. I’m surprised they are making that announcement to the public already without further study.
They may have to “eat their words” later.
I can’t imagine who would say that. Did you catch the name?
An unlikely collection of countries is doing excellent research and implementation of booster and other guidance, is way ahead of everyone else, and should be looked to for guidance on how to move forward: Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, and Singapore.
The other country to look at for really good data is the UK. But, their political response has been uneven to say the least.
CDC appears hamstrung by having outdated data, political infighting and squabbling, and poor messaging. U.S. politics is so messed up that even when we have national crises we can’t come together.
so true
Too bad that other nations are so far ahead of us on this pandemic overall.
With a very deep sigh….this is absolute truth.
If it turns out later that annual boosters will be needed after all and our agencies have to backtrack, it’s going to be very embarrassing and very frustrating especially for those who had very strong reactions to the previous 3 shots.
Imagine having to have to undergo a 24 hour strong reaction on an annual basis for the rest of your life, potentially.
Still looking for individual who said we won’t need boosters, but on another topic found this
I may be wrong, but it looks to me like that article was published August 19.
Good eye Deb. You’re correct. Is it an old article from August or a new article with an incorrect date? Regardless, I did hear it on the morning radio. It was the lead story, in fact.
Great catch. If Philip heard it I assume it is recirculating. Not sure what would have possessed her to make the comment.
Fwiw, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s 6 year old son got his first Covid-19 shot today.
One down, two to go?
I just heard on the NBC nightly news about mass riots in the Netherlands over Covid restrictions.
If people put half the energy they do into just helped out in getting through this pandemic as they do into rioting and complaining, we’d have been done with it some time before now.
C-19 for 11-21 is ready.
