    1. Thanks, Philip. I had seen that. I know when courts reopened the number of positives in the jails/prisons went way up…from pretty much zero.

  1. Probably more appropriate here than on the weather pages, but
Has anyone caught the new movie, Don’t Look Up ??

Very very well done with a host of big stars. I won’t do a spoiler alert. IMHO, it is a MUST SEE movie.

    1. Baker is a complete IDIOT!!

And Jeffrey C. Riley’s head is up his ass. I don’t know his politics, but he sure acts like a trump supporter, at least in this regard.

This whole school situation is out of hand!

My daughter is scared to death and she cannot quit because her husband has his own business with no health insurance
and his business has taken a huge hit due to the pandemic, so they need my daughters income.

She was supposed to pick up test kits and N95 at her school between 9 and 11 this morning. She isn’t about to do that on a non-school day. She has test kits and N95s masks already.

I am thoroughly disgusted and fed up with this state’s approach to the pandemic. It is like we are living in Florida under DeSantis’s leadership! PATHETIC!!!!!!!(*#*!*@#_*!@(_#*_!@#*(_!@(#_!(@#_(!@#(!)@(#)(!@#(!@(#!(@#(!@(#!(@#)(!@#(!

      1. I’m so very sorry for your daughter and every single teacher and staff member in our schools. And for the children they have worked tirelessly to not only teach the best they can, but especially in the past two years, they have worked to protect.

    1. For those who do not use Twitter. From Denise Dewald, MD

“ Do any lawyers out there have an thoughts on how Americans could take legal action against their government for forcing them into unsafe workplaces?

There need to be consequences for people who create public health policies that will kill and disable people”

    2. One reply to above

“ This is my side project for today. I am also wondering about the legal ramifications of a school board being forced to have no remote option with unsafe conditions for children. No mitigation/testing/air cleaning, in some cases not masked.”

    1. Excellent article Joshua. It’s great that you make a point of not dismissing the repurposing drugs out of hand.

I’m waiting for people to suggest the use of leeches for blood-letting!

        1. I now know why I can no longer proofread my own comments. I read your comment as you intended and didn’t notice the “of” missing. Good thing I finally gave up looking for a client and decided to stop working.

    1. Oh boy. But you may be doing better than MA in schools. I do recall your saying your Governor has said he’d act if CT reached a certain level. Doesn’t seem that he did.

I know RI has a mask mandate. I’m not sure about other NE states

  2. What our governor looks at is the amount of people in the hospital. As of Thursday it was 1,151.

    1. Thank you. Am I incorrect that he said if it were to go over 1,000, he’d put some things in place? Although, it isn’t far over.

    1. Week before Christmas they reported zero cases for students and staff. But then we know most do not report accurate numbers and the count is higher than DESE says. The week ending December 16 wareham had 33 students and 6 staff.
