Thanks TK.
No email from BM in my inbox but got this – from a Nick Kiernan he must be the one you mentioned had started another blog. I don’t blame anyone over there for starting one – although to me Woodshill is As Good As It Gets. Below is email I got – TK will wait to see how you want to handle it. I can thank him and tell Him I’ll pass the link along and would check it out. Id rather have you tell me how to proceed
Hi,
I have been a faithful wbz4 beyond the forecast blog reader and have enjoyed all the great weather insight and discussions over the years. I saw that another blog was created to continue the discussion…before I knew this I had also started a blog…www.massweatherblog.com/forum. It is running off the phpBB forum software. I am the administrator on the site and I do not know where you guys are hosting your blog, but I would love to have you all join my blog and those that were the staple bloggers/posters on wbz4 beyond the forecast will be given moderator status.
Please let me know your thoughts,
Thanks TK. I don’t have much confidence in that late week storm potential.
Me neither, but we’ll see. 🙂
Give him this site. I don’t see why they can’t coexist. 🙂
Will do. Thanks TK
As always vicki thank-you.
I didnt do a thing but You are always welcome.
Yes you did. Hey did you see the post I sent you the one on your wings. I was reading it fast and thought it said wigs.
hahahaha – no I didn’t see it…………….and I do have wings 😉
am heading out to dinner with friends – won’t be back to check my emails until morning. Is that ok?
Are you talking to me? By all means have fun.
I suppose things can change, but the next few weeks sure don’t look promising.
Our 2/12 system seems to have gone poof as so many have this year. Perhaps it
will reappear? Who knows, just not looking good right now.
Im thinking we should go for the POOF scale instead of UGH.
🙂
lol
On The Giants website I suspect by mistake they declared the Giants champs and even had the shirts and hats too buy. It has since been removed.
amazing
Well bm has received are invite and he did say he will check us out and some other one
as well.
Tom a very young man was killed in a car accident this morning in Marshfield. I thought of you being a teacher you may or may not know him. No name or age just said real young.
I think 18 yrs of age, but article I saw did not mention where the young man was from.
I thought I had heard Marshfield. You being a town teacher I thought of you. We lost a few from class of 90 that way.
So sad. That can be a tough stretch that road.
I dont know why they don’t widen the road,, why?? Ugh!!
Thanks for the update, TK.
All types of forecasts for late nxt. wk. TWC originally had ptly. sunny; then mostly cldy. nxt. Thurs. and Fri.; now they have rain showers for Thurs. Earlier today, Worcester weather on 162.550 said snow nxt. Thurs. night – now they are going for just mostly cldy. I tend to believe TK’s forecast! 🙂
Tomorrow’s the big day – Go Pats!
I’m really not sure how late week shakes out yet. I am just leaning toward the scenario I think the Euro is heading for and hoping for the best at this point.
Thanks, TK. That’s all we can do – hope for the best. I just can’t see this winter going by without one big snowstorm. ‘Though I suppose it can happen.
I don’t think that will happen. One maybe two big ones.
TK- Whats the score tomorrow. Not to happy with the bruins slump. 35- 24 pats.
Bruins will win in Washington tomorrow (12:30PM game).
Superbowl:
1st Q… Giants TD, Pats TD, Giants TD
14-7 Giants end 1st
2nd Q… Pats TD, Pats FG
17-14 Pats at the half
3rd Q… No scoring
Pats 17-14 end of 3rd
4th Q… Pats TD, Pats TD
Pats 31-14 FINAL
Impressed. Did not know the boys were skating tommorow thank’s for the heads up.
How’s your back.
Basically better, thanks John. Still getting glitches of pain at times. Especially if I move the wrong way.
I have been reading the posts and I read about your hand. I think I have it right that you will be seeing another dr. It doesn’t hurt to get a 2nd opinion, ‘though I am sure your own dr. is good. And I know your job is suggesting that. Sorry your hand is still swelling up at times – it’s a good idea to give it a rest from the cast (I think that’s right) every so often. These things can take time. So hope it gets better soon!
Thank’s.
Bruins slump is awful. They just seem so sloppy and disjointed.
Watch for the pats o-line to show up big tomorrow. Pats 32-22
I think Brady and his boys will be on fire. He want’s last game back and last superbowl back. I think they win.
They should break out of it soon. Tk is saying they win tomorrow. I did not know they were on again this weekend.
Curtis Martin elected into hall of fame. Bill parcells not. Curtis want’s parcells to do the presentation.
Most people in the sports world shocked that Bill did not get in.
I’m at a banquet right now and secretly checking in. Parcells really didn’t get in for real! OMG.
You playing with me. Yes for real. Most thought he would be in.
Had no idea. I didn’t turn the tv on today and i’m at a banquet sneaking in posts.
Yup for real my friend. He should have. He will. I love my new phone because I have been doing what your doing since Tuesday. Never had a phone with data, so cool. Enjoy your night out.
Who decides on the picks. The league.
Tk- Some mets calling for light snow wednesday night/thursday morning. Some calling for mix on friday. Do you see it that way. 50S Monday.
Have not posted much the last two days, everyone ready for the big game!! I am finally done cleaning out the basement!!! All I can say wow the crap you keep! Not much to excited about in the weather department, let’s see if we can change that.
John, there is a hall of fame committee. Not sure if writers get picks as well like they do in baseball.
Thank’s Hadi. You will love your basement when its done. we were to have a simple basement and kept adding. We had custom built ins added and crown all around. It’s awesome. Idea for you. If you can add storage under the stairs. So with ours you open the closet regular type and than doors inside for under stairs. It holds a ton.
Looking at the GFS it does show some light snow on wed/thur, not much though. It looks like a little upper level disturbance coming through.
Shall we compare?

Pats cut underwood and pick up DE from practice squad.
Btw John 44 media members elect hof players.
So it seems we still have a storm threat for next weekend

The Celtics beat the Knicks 91-89 Friday night, Harvard beat Columbia 57-52 last night……trend is your friend?
Could a “trifecta” be in the works? 🙂
Lets hope so !!
Parcells deserves the HOF, but he was such a miserable person to deal with that many declined to vote for him out of spite. (Have heard many anecdotes to that effect…)
Pats will make this one a boring SB, and I will love every second of it. Too many reasons to type out here, but really…. No huddle, spread offense, great OL, = Doom for NY. (We only ‘barely’ beat the Redskins, who beat NY by 2 TD’s twice…..).
Rooting for something happening here on 2/12, or thereabouts. BM, if you are here and reading, let me add to the chorus of folks hoping to hear your thoughts. The one and truly great thing about this blog is that so many very smart weather nuts are here gathered together and sharing (not arguing) their thoughts on the future possibilities. My business depends on a degree to knowing what to expect, and these folks help me to make decisions. It’s not about who’s ‘right’; it’s about all of the ideas being presented together in a way that any network TV or whatever station is unable to allow.
Thank you TK, again, for creating this.
As a skins fans love hearing the fact that we pounded the giants twice bc we ran the ball well and hit Eli which to me is the recipe to beating the giants. We also should have beat the Patriots, but that’s an argument for another day. With that said they are really hot right now which is not what you want to see, but I will say 38-34 Pats with a last second TD to win the game.
Like Hadi I do not think it will be easy. Both are great teams and have great QBs. I hope both play their best. An old friend who was also my daughters riding instructor saw a few of his students cheering at a horse show (fairly silently) when a competitor had an unusually bad jumping round. He took them aside and quietly explained to never hope for someone you are competing against to do badly because then it really isn’t a win for you but a loss for them. Don’t know if I explained that well but it was a great life lesson for all of the kids – and anyone else listening.
Apparently I woke up on my soap box 🙂 I am really looking forward to a great game.
Late week COULD get interesting and will leave at that.
Super Bowl Sunday is finally here and kickoff is less than 12 hours away. I am thinking a 27-24 game.
With the sun strengthening……its not going to be too long before dryness becomes an issue. We’re setting the long term up for a lot of red flag warnings and well above normal temps (maybe more than seen the last 4 months) if none of the sun’s energy is being used towards evaporation of ground moisture, etc.
Temperature inside Lucas Oil Stadium, 72 degrees.
🙂 6:30pm never seemed so long away.
I’m a trainwreck already.
cook – that’s what I’ve been doing since I got up – have to occupy my time somehow 🙂
Based on persistence, I’m thinking there wont be much of a system later this week, seems like a very dry pattern and these types of things seem to just build on themselves.
The late week system looks weak. The one over the weekend is the more important one but take that with a huge grain of
salt.
Did anyone see this story – it’s a nice one. I knew the man’s original intent was to keep the ball.
http://boston.cbslocal.com/2012/02/04/fan-plans-to-raise-50k-for-scholarship-return-afc-championship-ball-to-pats/
Yes Vicki, read it last night. Tough decision- but he made the right call, and because of it he’s at the SB today!
Anyone remember about 10 to 12 days ago the long range GFS showing a powerhouse northeast storm for today. I jokingly said at the time that if it ever came true, some would be without power tonight………that GFS long range run, was um………..close. BA HA, HA HA !!!
I remember you saying that Tom – and it’s another POOF. In all of the time everyone here has been watching the weather, have as many storms appeared and disappeared as have this season?
Riddle me this:
Under TK’s last blog titled “Seasonably Chilly But Dry Weekend” there were 113 posts as of this writing. Can someone tell me the correlation between the following percentages and the posts that were made?
38% that can also be broken down to 25% and 13%
Posts with links….of 🙂 faces ?
of should be…… or
Weather vs sports vs other?
that’s where I was going
38% represents the amount of posts from John and Vicki combined. 25% of the posts from John and 13% from Vicki. A fraction of their posts were weather related. I feel they are diluting what this great blog was about. They are using it as there social gateway, if you will. Especially you John, to me you are ruing this great blog. The majority of us are not interested in your day, we have our own problems.
Nice to know how you feel Coastal. Will wait to hear from TK and will leave the blog if that is his wish. The one thing I always try not to do is judge others because since I firmly believe no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes and everyone is different. I’d rather respect those differences than judge them.
I feel real bad for Underwood getting cut the eve of the big game, imagine how that guy must feel. He can’t even be on the sidelines. I trust bill had a reason for this. They also activated a DE from there practice squad. It is being speculated this was to make room for ocho. Still thinking bold move made by Bill. This will feel like one of those long Sunday’s waiting for this showdown. I am so pumped for this game. I have a vission of standing in front of a store first thing tomorrow buying my shirt. Let’s hope that vision comes true. I don’t think this game will be a blowout, but who knows. I am thinking more like the Baltimore game maybe not that tight, but of course pats playing better than that game. We hope. So my prediction is pats win and either Brady or Gronk get the MVP. Yes Gronk. I think he plays entire game and produces.
I think Gronk will have a great game. The “Law Firm” may be the MVP. As the Giants pass rush pressure Brady, that could leave wide open running lanes for Mr. Ellis:)
We shall see. Enjoy the game. Tick Tock Tick Tock.
This is just a guess, but to me, Underwood seems like he could have a bit of a partying streak in him. It’s possible he’s been having too much “fun” during superbowl week and missed practices/meetings. As ruthless as Belichick can be with his personnel decisions, I don’t think he would cut a guy the night before the SB just to make room for another D lineman.
You may be right. It would seem odd that Bill would cut him for no good real reason or just to make room. Like you said he may be having a bit too much fun.
You did not check in with me when you got home. LOL.
hahahahhaha – now that was funny – let me go check email while I have a minute
Nothing from BM
TK – there was an email sent in error to me from a Jeff Fenton – Merrimac MA. He thought he was responding to the other blog set up. Want me to do anything?
Since coastal is getting emails and did a terrific job getting everyone here to begin with, I am very happy to have him just keep on since he clearly knows what the protocol is far better than I.
You did a great job Vicki. I would agree with you leave it has its been and let coastal check. Bm did receive the invite Vicki and said he would check us out. We know he got It so we can stop chasing him now, or I will stop chasing him, I think It was him and the move now is up to him. Again thank’s for your help. How was last night.
We know coastal is getting them, and doing a fantastic job. We can continue that a little longer. As I said, I am going to open the blog up to be more public, but that will be done more through Facebook, as there will be a link available on my FB page for this blog. I just wanted to take care of a few issues before I started pushing the FB page (and eventual Twitter as well).
As for Fenton, if he asks specifically for WHW, you can give it to him.
he was one out of position that led to interception that caused fight on sidelines with O’Brien and Brady. SIL thinks not room for Ocho but someone else I can’t remember – go figure.
SIL also said some are mentioning MVP gronk. John, I go with visions. Hope it proves accurate too 🙂
Reading of the weather in Europe brought to mind some lyrics from long ago – back when the new Ice Age was coming. Can anyone Spot The Tune?
Driving all before her
un-stoppable, un-straining
her cold creaking mass
follows reindeer down.
Thin spreading fingers seek
to embrace the still-warm bundles
that huddle on the doorsteps
of a white London Town.
Have a great Super Bowl Sunday everyone!
That would be “Something’s On The Move” by Jethro Tull. Seen them live a few times. 🙂
Wow 🙂 talk about a blast from the past. I remember playing “Thick as a Brick” when I was in HS.
For a real hoot, take a look at the Tull website:
http://www.j-tull.com
You can read that there will soon be a Thick As A Brick sequel. It will revolve around Gerald Bostock, the imaginary child author of the first Thick As A Brick. Gerald would now be 50!
Tull???? – don’t remember name but love the words
I love trivia – someone was doing weather trivia – just one question a day – a while back. It was tons of fun. I was going to ask if anyone wanted to post a question on occasion or if I can, TK.
Go for it. Love trivia. But don’t challenge me on Brady Bunch trivia, I’ll whip anyone on that. 😉 LOL
TK – you mean real Brady Bunch or Tom Brady Bunch??
The REAL Bradys. Even Alice!
I love the Brady Bunch. I just bought second season DVD for my 4 year old grandson (couldn’t find 1st). He loves the show and I love watching with him. I’m a big old show fan – down to Leave it to Beaver which is probably before most everyone’s time here. We watched the entire 11 seasons of MASH last summer.
TK wins the prize. I am a pretty big fan and have seen the band a number of times over the years.
Old Ian is still at it both with the band and with other musicians. An acoustic show a few years back at the Hanover Theater in Worcester was terrific.
Ian is a unique one. I got into them via my older brother. They put on quite a live show when I saw them (this was in the 1990s).
Darn missed by two minutes and didn’t know song’s name –
re above – absolutely coastal needs to continue as he did exceptional job. Was just offering to help in his absence. Didn’t mean to step on toes although clearly I did. It’s not my style. Sorry.
You’re not stepping on toes, just helping out and it’s appreciated. 🙂
Vicki- You were helping me out to get BM. Enough said. You are there in a minute to help your fellow bloggers. As Tk said no toes stepped on. Good work.
thanks 🙂
TK-Some small weather systems may move in this week. Any chance to see limited precip amounts with this 1-2 inches. Mainly talking about Wed night/Thurs am. I know you did mention Friday as that would be the the second system with what you noted as a mix. Thank’s Tk.
Anything beyond Wednesday on my outlook right now is just educated guessing. I’ve seen too much subtle model disagreement (forget the glaring differences) to have any confidence from Thursday on. It could just as easily end up sunny or snowy on Friday, for example. I’ll try to pin that down better on my next update.
Thank you.
Call me crazy but thinking about watching the game on the old 42 so we can have a fire, but I have a 52 down in the basement.
6.5 hours now to the Super Bowl! Great day weatherwise here.
That is a big LOL. I just said that to my dog sitting beside me the same exact thing than saw your post.
Who does your dog pick for the game?
Well I have two and I hope there both pats fans. They look at me like I’m crazy when I start screaming and clapping after good or bad play. One is a poodle and the bigger one is a Golden doodle.
I forgot to give my winner when I gave my 27-24 prediction. As you all know I am a Cowboys fan. Hopefully I will see another Super Bowl in my lifetime but seeing them win 3 Super Bowls in my life I can’t complain. I think I am going to be the only one on the blog who is going to say this but I am thinking the Giants win 27-24. They have the momentum coming into this game their offense could score and that Patriots defense to me is not that great. I think the Pats were fortunate to play Denver and got very lucky against Baltimore.
I would never discount the PATS. It seems you are in the majority, JJ. Many sports radio commentators seem to be going with the giants. I prefer when the Pats coming in as underdogs -if that is in fact what they are perceived to be – not saying they are by an stretch. I am not sure anything can be called just luck with a team like the PATS. I’m surprised I am not worrying myself sick over the game which I typically do. I’m far to superstitious to say more.
I disagree and going with the Pats. And before I go on anymore I respect your view and you being a cowboys fan. We can all agree the defense has not been good at all during the season. Saying that They have played much better for the playoffs, and that is what counts now. They have made some very key plays and stops. And the defense is the main reason why we are here today with some luck too. Brady will have I think a huge game today. And no matter what anybody has to say this is revenge, payback for the pats. Four years to get back. This may be one of the bigest games for Tom and Bill. I and think most pats fans respect the Giants. They have a good team and great coach. The Giants come into this game red hot. But don’t under estimate the Pats as they have a ton of motivation coming into this game and I believe they win. I think the game stays close and is not decided by a field goal. Just my two cents.
I agree – and it was the D that got us through the last game so it cannot be discounted.
I don’t have a score yet. I’ll let you know around 11:00 tonight 😉
Just Kidding ! But I do not have any numbers in my head. TK – odd – I made a purchase earlier that came to an even $80 and the cashier said an even number like that rarely happens and asked if 8 is my lucky number. 9 is mine and my immediate thought was I’d never heard anyone say 8 is their lucky number.
That MJO is cruising toward phase 8!
http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/precip/CWlink/MJO/foregfs.shtml
Also today’s SOI values are -16!
This is only creating havoc amongst the models…
8’s my lucky number. 🙂
31-21 patriots!
Maybe. I am thinking a 7-10 point diff in score. Like I have said I don’t think it will be a blowout and don’t think it is field goal to win. a 7-10 point diff would not be a blowout but good game.
When I have picked against the Pats in big spots before the majority of the time they won so will see what happens.
Just curious why Dallas are you from there. What about peyton playing for them. It is ovious by the owners latest comments that he just does not seem crazy about him.
Rooting for the Patriots…….desperately hoping for the same lack of accurate forecasting predictions I display, I’ll go 34-24 Giants…..
Think Giants D has a better chance at slowing the Pats offense a bit. Struggling to envision how the secondary of the Pats contains Cruz, Manningham and co., not to mention the running game.
seems I’m not the only superstitious one here. I think one of the keys may be the no huddle – not a surprise but could be important and pats seem to have a good sense as to the exact time to use it
I think I am thinking maybe 10 points as well Tom , or maybe 7.
I find it amazing how some implied my toes are being stepped, or the suggestion that I felt offended by Vicki’s attempt to bring on new bloggers. This is not my blog, i played a very small part in directing people to this site. It is the bloggers aswell as TK’s management that made this great. I do have some concerns as this blog matures to a larger audience. I feel Johns tough guy antics (I have her back) and Vicki playing a victim (sorry?) over a comment I made on how to contact me will not go over well with a larger audience. I also do not feel its appropriate of me to involve anyone on this blog of the crisis my family have been experiencing which kept me from posting this past week. The gang mentality will not be a welcoming trait to perspective bloggers. Tk if you don’t mind, I would like stop being a point of contact for this blog. My job is done and it seems like your not far from going public. I look forward to continuing to be a causal observer and blogger.
Sorry about your family crisis Coastal. With all respect to you I do not agree with your above comments at all. I have used the comment I have your back or thank’s for having my back more than once here to different people. And it is not a tough guy antic as you think. I am not like that Coastal at all. Bm posted on a blog last week and both TK and I believe it was him. I offered him an invite. He said he never got the invite and asked to be reinvited. After checking with TK both myself and Vicki ,TK said he would handle it and he did. Vicki offered an email because we had not heard from you and TK invited him through that address. Vicki offered to help me out since I was trying to get him here for the blog. I think your post is upsetting. I truly hope that the situation you have going on is getting better. And whatever it is I am sorry about it. But dude come on here. Are you really going to get pissed over nothing. I am hoping you will sent out another post maybe saying somthing else. And for you to give up your contact is just childish. Please reconsider your words as I hope you will.
I don’t think he’s “pissed”. He’s just making things clear.
It’s all good.
In the end, if BM (or anyone) wants to come here, they will have an opportunity to do so, and be given a chance to blog respectably.
The bottom line is: This blog will be about the weather and be very inviting to people who want to learn about it, give their own ideas (regardless of experience), and express opinions on the subect. (And yes, a little sports chat is fine as we always do.)
You are free to discontinue being the contact point. I do think you deserve more credit than you have given yourself, but regardless, I am very thankful for your help, and also look forward to your continued participation here!
I’ll carry forward hoping that comments don’t degenerate (like on Yahoo, for example). As I have stated, I can set the blog to be a registration-to-comment, but only will do that in it becomes necessary. I’m banking on more of the public stuff will occur on Facebook anyway, though I will have the ability to eliminate any undesirable content there as well.
My best wishes for you and your family.
Whoa Coastal. I think you may have just gone coastal on people who were trying to innocently make this blog a better place. We do hope you continue to participate and I wish you and your family the very best. I do not think there was any intent to hurt.
Not at all. I hope he will come back on expain it in another way. Coastal is a key member here and through his difficult time right now I will not comment any further on this matter.
Hey John… When I started watching football the Cowboys were winning and I jumped on the band wagon.
I have stayed loyal to them and not jumped ship even with some of this terrible years prior to when Bill Parcells
showed up. I don’t see Peyton coming to the Cowboys. The mental toughness and defense need to improve.
Giants fans should be happy the Cowboys blew those leads otherwise they would not be playing for a
Super Bowl.
It’s all fine. (See above.) … I hope all of you wish to stay here and blog about the weather.
Moving forward… 🙂
on moving forward I totally agree – when people blog they become like a family in an odd way – we all share one strong passion – weather. Just wish there were more of it but it can’t allude us for much longer – can it? I was thinking lack of weather leads to chat not weather related and of course the fact that it’s Super Bowl Sunday 🙂
I agree! 🙂
Coastal – I was not playing victim and greatly resent your stating I was. I have a strong tendency to feel very badly if I at any point in time feel I have done something out of place or that is offensive. I have never felt badly for me but only for those I may have hurt or offended. Since you do not know me, you could not possibly know how I react; and I understand that. It’s why I like to try to assume the best in a person rather than the worst.
My apology was sincere and your assumption it was not is insulting. My apology was also intended for TK as well since I would never in any way want to do something to overstep his bounds on this blog. It is first and foremost something he puts endless time and energy into. And I think to a person everyone will agree that TK has made it feel as if the blog belongs to every single member here.
I have said here – as have others – REPEATEDLY since the time I’ve been on here – that you have done an exceptional job in getting everyone here from the BZ blog. I am horribly and sincerely sorry to hear there is a problem in your family. I don’t have to guess to know that everyone here is thinking of you and your family and hoping and praying for the very best for all of you.
As TK said he will be fine. Depending on a person’s mood they may say somthing that they did not mean to say. If this were on another blog I would have givin it to you coastal. But I like him. I am thinking he will be back. No body did anything wrong. So as TK said we move on. I did not like what he said to you or I. Lets give him a chance.
I agree and will always give a person the benefit of the doubt – and the one thing I have never done in my life is hold any sort of grudge. No place for that – life is far too short. I understand Coastal is upset and as you said we all say things when we are. Especially when it comes to family. Now the last comment I’ll make – and will without question move on !
Right thing to do. Post like nothing happened as I will do the same.
I think that 9-7 record they (The Giants) had should take these games into account……..@ New Orleans……..@ San Francisco………..@ New England……………Green Bay……….. that is 25% of the total regular season’s games and a tough stretch at that.
We just watched a movie from the 90’s on cable – Tornado. I think I have seen all the tornado movies ever made. My favorite is Twister, then Tornado. In any case, I am still hoping for at least one snowstorm this season. Then I was watching Windows to the Wild on channel 11 – I think that was the channel. They were showing snowy scenes of Maine. Nice – seeing that snow on tv. I try not to watch all the “hooplah” re: the Super Bowl – just the game. I still believe the Pats will win – but I think it will be a tight game.
Brady and Bill will not loose to the same team three times in a row. Brady will play angry and I think the Pats win this handedly by at least 10 points.
*lose
I love the Pats and I enjoy watching football. But I don’t totally understand all of it – just touchdowns and some of the plays. But all I can say is that I feel it will be a tight game.
Hi rainshine – how is your back? There is a pair of bald eagles that’s been showing up along the Sudbury River and I wanted to let you know. They’ve been seen in Sudbury and Framingham.
My back is getting better, thanks. I haven’t heard about any bald eagles – where did you hear that?
Since we are neighbors – maybe sometime we can meet for coffee? We should – we are neighbors! 🙂
My daughter sent me this –
http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/framingham/2011/01/pair_of_bald_eagles_spotted_in.html
And yes it would be great fun to meet for coffee!!
Thanks for the link! Beautiful bird.
Let me know when you might be available – except for dr. appts. and volunteering, I am basically free. Unless we get a blizzard!
I will – my son still has my car. It was to have returned home last week but he has that cough/flu thing so I wanted him to keep it in case he has to go to doctor – didn’t want him taking T for the visit 🙂
No problem – let me know at some point and maybe set a time and place. Hope your son feels better soon!
Oh – so sorry. I just started posting earlier and didn’t read the latest comments.
Coastal – I am sorry for whatever is going on with your family and I wish you and your family all the best.
Weather is my passion and in TK’s last paragraph above re: what this blog is – I totally agree. This blog should be mainly about the weather. I admit – I am guilty of posting personal stuff but I hope this blog’s goal will always be focused on the weather – I don’t mind talking sports, family stuff, etc. but I still consider this a weather blog. I hope what I just said is ok . . .
Yes the blog is mostly weather. But what makes this blog so special is that we can post on different things from time to time. We all do it and no one has had a problem. So If I want to say hey I had a bad day here I’m posting it.
I agree. 🙂
You guys have it all wrong. The G-men will be leading 99-94 with 1.6 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Brady will hand off to Woodhead who will fake a run and fire the ball to Gronk who will appear in just this one play all day. Gronk will have to fly through the air horizontal to the ground just to get a hand on the ball. He will tip the ball to Branch who will bobble the ball 3 times before losing control of it and Hernandez will slide underneath him and catch it just before it hits the turf and the Pats win 100-99.
Love it !
I thought your 3 inches was off and look how wrong I was. I’ll buy into ur plan for the game. I don’t think I should doubt you twice 🙂
Too bad this Super Bowl is not in Florida….all currently in the 70s, even Jacksonville. I just think this great event should be in a city that has a climatological chance of having warm weather, allowing for a trip somewhere to see the game and escape the winter cold. But Indianapolis ???? I just dont get that choice.
Tom I am wondering what it is going to be like in 2 years when the Super Bowl is played in the Meadowlands.
You could have a nice day like today or you could have a snowstorm.
The Meadowlands………… Probably a snowstorm, cause you have to figure after this winter, one of the next couple are going to be colder and snowier than normal.
Watch…it will be the Miami Dolphins vs. Tampa Bay Bucs and none of their fans will show up for the game. 🙂
Next year its in New Orleans for the first time since Katrina.
That sounds good !! Happy for New Orleans and though I’ve never been, New Orleans in February sounds good to me ! Maybe Cowboys vs. Pats next year.
Cowboys need to get better mental toughness and get better on defense to me if they are
going to compete for a Super Bowl.
I’m going to hold off on any potential meet-ups for a while (probably until March).
Hosting a Super Bowl party – taking advantage of the time between the Bruins and the Pats to get some errands done and pick up a huge Chinese food order, and enjoy the very nice day.
I’ve stated what I needed to about the comments above, just hope you all get it squared away and join me on my next post, The Week Ahead, in a little while.
Good day all! 🙂
12z EURO shows a very cold day for next Saturday, other than that it’s dry as a bone.
I just heard on the radio the pats are at the stadium. Bill was seen on the field with a huge smile on his face and decked out in a suit. Gronk had no limp. Joe Thiesman was heading over to chat with Bill. Were getting close guys. This will be a fun night.
Hadi-Actually I said the GFS was decent this winter in the 24-120. Basically 1-5 day range. It is the ECMWF and its Ensembles that I have ridden some 192-360. GFS has been consistently too cold in that time range.
7-10 days ago when I down played any potential for this 10th-12th time period, I did say I found the potential for 17th-19th more interesting. Right now I would trend warmer than the GFS for that time period.
