As the pharmacist in the UK told me, $40 – which is what I paid for a test, as an uninsured person in Britain; it is the market price there – is plenty, for both the pharmacist and the test manufacturer. It’s NOT as if the test manufacturer did any research at all to develop the test. It relied solely on what the U.S. government and WHO had done.
My ex-wife is back in the Netherlands. Today, she (63) went to a large convention hall to get her 2nd booster (she got her 1st booster in December). The country has been boosting those over 60 and will soon move to those over 50. They’re doing the jabs in convention halls, rather than doctors offices or pharmacies, as it’s much more efficient.
FDA is expected to authorize a second coronavirus booster for 50 and older as soon as Tuesday. But, I don’t see any plans by any governor to actively promote boosters, or use convention halls for that purpose. We’re way behind everyone else in terms of boosting older folks. When I say older, I mean over 60.
On the 4th booster. I need to read more about spacing but this is sure positive news
Thanks TK.

$125 is exorbitant.
