It appeared to pause in its lift off in India before becoming dominant this week (52% of new cases are BA.2.75). It’s clearly beating out BA.5 in the latest surge across India. Could BA.2.75, which has barely made a dent here so far, do the same in the U.S. this fall as it has in India?
I say think positive that BA.2.75 remains dormant here in the U.S. come fall and that 2022 will be the last year of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as this side of the blog. 🙂
Having said all that, I would feel better if Pfizer and/or Moderna develops a new vaccine booster this fall.
Spanish Flu = 1918-1920
Covid-19 = 2020-2022?
I’ll second that

The curious case of BA.2.75
