The storm that brought the rain and wind to the area will spin slowly into southeastern Canada through midweek. The circulation around it will send a couple disturbances across southern New England which will send some spokes ofย showers through the region. After this low lifts away, another one will cross the region late Thursday and early Friday, but this one will be moving right along and will not be a big rain producer.
An early call on the weekend shows that it may be split with a decent Saturday and an unsettled Sunday.

I remember back in the winter, just about every Sunday was colder compared to the other days of the week.
You are right about Sundays in the winter. We’ll see what happens here. We’ve had a whole lot of 7-day patterns recently.
Thanks TK!!
Not liking any bad weather on the weekend!
Thanks tk, I really like these temps in the next 5-7 days, highs in the 50’s to around 60, perfect with a high sun angle now, have a good night everyone
Global warming! What a bunch of bull.
http://worldnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/23/11144098-gaia-scientist-james-lovelock-i-was-alarmist-about-climate-change?lite
Um coastal. As politely as I can. You and I do not know. Thats the fact. Neither of us will be alive to know Therefore it’s an opinion. And it’s insulting to call a persons opinion bull, my friend.
Remember how these same scientists said the mountain lion tracks were from a domesticated lion b/c a lion couldn’t possibly be here. Sometimes common sense is better than all of the scientists theories in the world ๐
what article was that from vicki.
Coastal gave me the link ages ago. It was fascinating. Hopefully he still has it.
Matt have you seen the river otters. There was a question on jeopardy a few days ago and the answer was otter. My husband asked how I knew and I told him about your otters.
I’ll try to find it again.
But i think the whole cover up with the cougars, wolfs etc… Is to not get the public in a tisy and I believe there was something about funding from the government which would be very expensive.
On a far larger scale that can apply to global warming too. Trust them not when $$ and politics are involved
I have not gone out yet I hope i can get out tomorrow and go their home
Hope they are there ๐
Well Vicki I think what we do know is that the numbers have been altered to support persons political and financial agenda. That is a fact. So with their superficial opinion being skewed to support there wallets, it is bull in my opinion. They are not the same scientist, they specialize in very different studies.
Andwhat we should know is that we cannot damage our planet as we have and not create a problem. See opinion. For the record I don’t believe half of what scientists say either way as I said there will be no proof certain either way until long after we are gone so until then ……
Haha, there’s just not alot of time, time will tell, the problem with any real sensitive issue tends to be opinion. I believe in global warming but I do not even know how much it’s affecting it, that’s another problem. ๐

When I was younger and I was playing zrisbe with my brother chris. We heard something behind the brush. I went and listened again and guess what was about 20 to 30 feet away. A mother black bear and two cubs. I was stupid and I ran away. Bears did not go after me but my mom said calm down…. There were dear and everything.
Then when I was in 7 grade. We went to an area in vt central vt. Some hills and everything. I remembered how large the black bear was. I was hiking with my friend and brother and we started following a trail of deer tracks just for fun. I for got how long it was until we got to the point where a deer was on the ground dead. No traps no hunters. But large bite wounds. I know for a fact it was no black bear. but another few hundred feet down the hill was a black bear lying on the ground dead … with no traps as well . I thought it could be coyotes or something but my freind Brian said it could not be a Coyote because they would not leave anything behind in the open like that. We went back to the camp and aperently the ranger of the boy scout camp said that there were wild cats in the woods that have been known to attack anything they can get their mouths on. So I am not sure but a cat usually can not attack a black bear.
Matt great story – thanks for sharing it ๐
North and Charlie, I was bummed I missed ur convo today about North Attleboro. I grew up there and know it very well. Lived off of Mt. Hope St. near Falls Pond. Funny u mentioned the old junior high, I was the last class to go there for junior high before they built the new one in front of the high school. Love the area and hope to move back when I have a family of my own! ๐
We’re u brought up in na?
Yup, brought up there, went to the public schools and all that good stuff. My mom still lives there though, right off Reservoir St. past the bridge that crosses Falls Pond so I’m in the area often.
U were right near reservoir st, my aunt lives on that street ๐
When did they build the middle school? The old one is now an elementry school. They are really short on the school budget this year and are considering closing the Allen ave school and they have already decided to charge for busing for grades 7-12 and also for having families pay for sports at the middle and high school too.
Well let’s see, I was the last 8th grade class to go to the old junior high, and that was school year 1997 – 1998 I believe. So the first class to go to the new middle school was fall of 1998. School budget has always been an issue there. It would be a shame to close Allen Ave. It so much further away for kids in that part of town to go to another school plus the overcrowding it would cause on the other schools. I went to Amvet and loved it but I knew kids at Allen Ave. A friend of mine told me they started charging to play sports and even some extracurricular music groups too. I was shocked.
My daughter is in her last year at Amvet and has loved her 6 years there.
I bet some of the same teachers are still there…
Probably. It seems like the teachers and the kids all like it there. Some of the other schools in town don’t have that same feeling when you talk to the kids.
Thursdays small rain event could drop close to a quarter inch of rain in many places.

Your looking at the temps at 850 MB, better off looking at the temps at 2 MB, which is at the surface. 850 MB is several thousand feet up in the air. Especially for this time of year.
I always learn something everyday. Thanks Scott!
I think we have a better chance of getting a tornado in Boston than getting snow ๐ as vicki teached me, very unlikely, have a good day coastal ๐
when did I do that?
U told me instead of saying it will never happen to say its unlikely ๐
hahahahahaha – no one ever listens to me – you just made my day ๐
This morning when i woke up i went to my computer to see what my weather stations and buoys were recording and all the of them were actually recording it still wising.
dock one buoy: 5 feet
area 1 buoy around 4.8feet
dock 2 buoy around 9 feet
area 2 buoy which was put out for the first time ever its brand new recorded around 8.7 feet.
The river buoy was recording 10.2 feet
All of these reports are about 2 or 3 inches higher than the last time i checked yesterday.
the wind is also causing some small tiny waves in the open area that has no marsh plants. This marsh is bigger than many think. about a mile wide and i do not know how long it is
Weather Channel is calling yesterday’s snow in western NY/PA, “Snowpril!” Really Weather Channel? I used to like you, lol
Didn’t they call the October storm “Snowtober” as well? Pretty lame. Apparently creativity is not their forte. But then again, they are meterologists ๐ (Sorry TK!)
I really don’t watch the wc no more for about 3 yrs, they’ve gone into all kinds of crap that I could care less about, I used to like it back when it 24hr weather ๐
Not all met’s can be as creative as I am. ๐
And one of my best friends is a creative writing major. She’s going to help me when I get stuck. It can only get better from here. ๐
I am one to cast stones. I am a transportation engineer and don’t have a creative bone in my body!
Hey am, u know Matt Parker, or Chris obrien, or Kyle Vandergesm, just curious, we were brought up on east st N.Attleboro, ๐
The only name that sounds familiar is Kyle Vandegesen. I graduated HS with his sister Caitlin class of ’02. Is Kyle the one who was killed in Afganastan a few years ago? I know it was one of the 2 brothers.
Yes I’m older than u but I was and brother captains of high school football team, he won the Superbowl.
When I went to high school it was Wilson whitty as principal
Some final totals!! Impressive snow totals for sure!!

The 4-5″ rain totals in Maine are impressive as well. And 5.74″ in New Boston, NH? Wow!
now you are just depressing me ๐
The blog is updated. See you there. 8)
