Updating The Week Ahead, I’m making a couple minor changes to the forecast. The first, in response to indications that the midweek system will be a little slower exiting, adding a threat of showers and thunderstorms to Thursday’s forecast. Also, with some indications that the trough entering the Great Lakes this weekend will also be slower, going to make some minor changes to the weekend forecast, but not going to be too detailed at this point anyway given how many days away it is.
Updated forecast for RI, eastern MA, southern NH…

ahhhhhhhhhhhh – what was that saying – how do you spell R-E-L-I-E-F
Nice morning. These long shifts killer. 16 hr shift yesterday after plumbing emergency, and back at it 3 am this morning.
They must be John. My son has been working at least one full double shift every week this summer. I used to work a lot of extra hours (still do) but two 8 hour back to back shifts and then only 8 hours off is a lot.
It is vicki. Cant complain though as its all overtime. Im blessed to have such a great job. Lo oks like saturday is a Rain day.
I’m hearing showers and not all rain saturday – what did you hear? Either way I just hope we can unload the cars in something less than a downpour – nothing like getting everything wet from car to house.
I thought I heard this morning that the front may be moving slower and the showers may hold off until Sunday.
Those temps sound terrific Charlie, now let’s see what happens.
I got up for work between 1-3am six days a week for nineteen years! (Bakery) 🙂
yum – I think I can smell the bread!! That’s a tough schedule 🙁
well its because people like me goes to the Bakeries for morning pastries 🙂
I hear ya. Im in at that time weekly.
i hope this is not a reaccuring pattern. unsettled middle of the week and unsettled weekend.
Even those days with showers and storms there not all day washouts. Heavy rain looks to be the big threat as oppossed to a severe threat for tomorrow and late in the week into the weekend.
This morning Melissa hinted that there may be less rain than expected this weekend. We will see what happens in future model runs.
Good news Philip – thanks 🙂 And whatever happened to that TS system that was supposed to come in next week…..do you know?
That tropical system was never supposed to come in. That was just a bad model forecast. 🙂
We discounted it early here at WHW. 😉
I thought so but needed to confirm. Thanks TK
Started seeing that yesterday.

I can see it now bc the oversized trucker going through the tip oneil tunnel, I can tell ya as a driver I’m not nervous at all to drive through any tunnel, some of these people are moon bats, they will probably try to Blame the state cause that’s just what they try to do 🙂
Ok thanks.
Euro is crap.
GFS is so-so.
TK is running his own model today. It’s called: Basic Meteorology.
When the run is finished, a blog update will follow. 🙂
Hahahahahaha. Can we patent it?
