  1. Good morning tk, another beautiful morning, a half degree cooler than I thought, 56.7 degrees, it really is refreshingly nice, enjoy!! 🙂 thanks tk

      1. Thanks I think we get 1 more early fall like morning tommorrow morning, probably get to 57-58 degrees at my house, when I went outside it reminded me of football, from now until Dec is my fav time of year 🙂

  2. TK, I like this forecast just because you set the high temp to go up 1 degree on each successive day starting Monday.
    Monday=80
    Tues=81
    Weds=82
    Thurs=83
    Fri=84
    Sat=85
    Sun=86
    🙂

    1. That was actually unintentional, just doing the best I could with the forecast and that’s how it came out. 🙂

  3. Has anyone noticed some of trees starting to change there color, there’s a few trees around here that r a off orange

      1. Hi Vicki, we wanted to get a burning bush for the yard recently but a nursery told us they can’t be sold in Mass anymore :(. Guess we will have to take trip to RI to get some.

  4. Thanks TK.
    I like the fact there are no 90s in your forecast for the week! Although I don’t think we have seen the last of the 90s for 2012 just yet.

    1. I would be extremly suprised if Boston has 1 90+ day from here forward, I’ll b watching though, have a good day jj 🙂

      1. Yay…I am on vacation next week also so I would love your input as to what we may have in store for us.

  5. Its noticeable how much change has happened across the northern hemisphere the last few weeks. Start with Oklahoma City, OK…which had a high temp of 79F yesterday, 15F below the normal high. They also received about 1.25 inches of rain in one day, amazing considering that they saw less than half an inch all of July. I think this is representative of what has happened in the midwest………then, fly across the pond to Europe and the heat has built into areas of western and central Europe that were cooler earlier in the summer. Kind of neat how it all relates.

    Well, I’m looking forward to the 12z GFS and its tropical interpretations. The 0z run wasnt as entertaining this morning. 🙂

        1. I was talkinga about the flare up of storms in the southwest Gulf again today. That looks impressive. But the 12Z GFS taking the tropical low into the gulf is impressive too. I think that it will need to be watched along the Gulf and the East Coast. Things look to become a little more zonal later next week with the flow, but some models always break things down too quickly, so alot can change in the next 7-10 days!

            1. It might be interesting if all those thunderstorms near the immediate Gulf Coast persist for a few days and the upper level winds relax as the trof lifts. Sometimes an old front can eventually evolve into something tropical.

  6. Looks like the NAO has bottomed out today and is going up and back to neutral from here and possibly positive but that can change as we all know!

  7. Its been negative for the majority of the summer. I hope its that way when we into the winter months and somehow AccuWeather is right with their prediction of a snow dump for SNE and the Mid Atlantic. I was reading the other day this is a west based El Nino and that tends to lead to below normal temps in the east. Of course there are other factors in determining what kind of winter we will have.

  8. you know if it has been a good weekend when you are tired sunday evening 😀 went kayaking today. 😀 with my cousins.

  9. What an amazing sunset…
    Never seen so much detail in the clouds.
    Caught a series of great photos.
    It looked like there were 4 giant feathers in the sky just below the main cloud deck.

  10. 18Z GFS was “interesting” to say the least. Has the tropical system going up the east coast again but weaker. I know this will change many times in the next 10 days

  11. I hope someone knows what we saw. It was in the distance and we thought it was one of those parasail type things but realized it was too high and the bottom section was too far separated from the top. At first it looked like the top part was an odd shape plane. Then it changed shape. It was originally about 500 ft up but climbed to maybe 1000 by the time it was over us. We thought it was a group of sky divers because it kept changing shape. Then it seemed to be two or three very large balloons. Could it be a weather balloon. There were no lights. And no I have not been drinking. All 8 of us took turns thru binoculars and were at a loss

      1. Why would Hadi be floating through the air? (Yeah I know, it was just the way you worded it…) 🙂
