The Week Ahead

7:23AM

Upper level low departs slowly to the east today-Tuesday and though we’ll be on the dry and cool side of it there will be enough cold air aloft and sunshine warming the ground to continue to pop some clouds and a slight chance of passing showers.

Wednesday, that’s gone, but a warm front approaching from the southwest sends increasing high to mid level clouds into the region, turning a day that starts out bright into one the ends less so. Lots of clouds will probably be with us for the second half of the week, and eventually some wet weather, as warm air from the southwest overrides cooler air hanging tough in southeastern New England. Will that warm air ever get in here? Eventually, but it may take until sometime over the weekend to complete the job.

  1. At the end of today, we are halfway btwn the equinox and the summer solstice (46 days past, 46 days to go).

    Really notice spring taking off.

Grass is green, trees are budding, when I take off at 6:45am, the sun is already peaking over my neighbor’s house and we seem to be getting a lot more consistently into the 50s and 60s for high temps. All good !! 🙂

  2. John – not sure you will see this. We finally had an opportunity to check yesterday and it is grubs. We will put the stuff down Wednesday night based on the chance for rain on Thursday. With Mac’s back and stomach problems, we just haven’t had a chance to deal with anything else. But do we also fertilize with weed and feed or do we have to wait after the grub application? Thanks so much.

      1. Glad you mentioned seed – we will have to seed so perhaps will just weed and feed the areas that won’t need seed – thanks very much

  3. Thanks TK

Migraine crushing me, I think it’s from the pollen but having a hard time beating it. I think I found the right combo this morning to help.

    1. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it works and if it does work, please share the remedy.

        1. Feel better Hadi. I suffer from migraines as well from time to time. They’re not fun 🙁

  4. Weather looks pretty PUKEY around here UNTIL the weekend.
I see many 50s coast!!! That blows!! Let us hope coast means Logan and
    NOT JP!!!

I HATE the EAST wind in the Spring!!

It was brutal yesterday. I was working in the yard and the wind nearly blew me
    over a few times!!!

    1. I saw cumulus clouds beginning to fill the sky at 8AM, then I KNEW
that any thoughts of a sunny day just went out the Window! YES, despite
what BARRY promised last evening. 👿

ANOTHER CRAPPY CLOUDY DAY IN NEW ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Thanks, TK.

Things are really starting to blossom and bloom – very pretty. But my allergies don’t like it and it still is chilly outside.

  6. 64 at Logan, a little better than I thought it might be.
    We’d make 70 with full sunshine. 😀

  7. 12z EURO at 216 hrs (May 14th) has an east ridge and 850mb temps of 10C or higher and the 12z GFS shows some hope of warmer air advecting in on occasion with a couple lows passing to our N and W.

Perhaps an opportunity of 80F or higher within the next 10-12 days ???

    1. During one of the rain showers we had run in the front yard and not in the back. That happened last year also. It is amazing

    1. Anyone else going. It is in Walpole at the library 7-10. Have to see if I can get out of work in time?

          1. I may try to go to the one Saturday in S. Dartmouth or next Thurs in Burriville, RI. Gad I didn’t show up tonight 🙂
