High pressure and a northerly to westerly air flow will dominate through the weekend with very nice weather. It now looks like high pressure will hold strong into early next week with the air flow turning more southerly, hence increasing humidity. A cold front is due sometime in the Tuesday/Wednesday time frame and frankly, I’m not sure exactly when it’ll get here. Something to watch. That front will present a risk of showers and thunderstorms and then a shift to slightly cooler/drier air behind it.

Thank you TK and if you don’t mind, here is a re-post of mine:
Why we NEED to keep the NorthEast Wind AWAY FROM HERE!!!
Current Ocean temps off the MA coast are in the low 60s, yet not too
far to the North and East off the coast of Maine it is MUCH coooler, for example:

Looks like another great weekend shaping up and the humidity in check.
Yes, the kind of Summer weather my wife can tolerate.
As soon as the humidity and heat rise together, my wife is out of
commission. She cannot tolerate that weather at all.
In anticipation of hot and humid conditions earlier in the week, we
have already purchased two (2) new air conditioners. We may place
on in the bathroom this year.
Today is fantastic!!!
haha – in the bathroom. In all honesty, it is the most humid room in the house and when you use a hair dryer it is miserable. Good plan
One dedicated 20 AMP circuit. Brand new wiring and circuit breaker. I’m thinking it could handle
AC and Hair Dryer or curling iron at the same time. 😀
Sorry. Meant that hair dryer only adds to bathroom heat. Not interfere with AC :
Oh, I understood that. I was just adding that.
🙂
Thanks Tk
Another beauty of a day!
Thanks TK !
Dewpoints continue to fall, down to 42F and 44F at Burlington, VT and Portland, ME.
84F, with a dewpoint of 47F at Logan at 4pm.
Dew points in the 40s this time of year is a real treat.
Thanks TK!
Thanks, TK!
Thanks TK!
Love the title!! Thanks tk 🙂
Beautiful weather!!
Hahaha love your title, TK 😉
I loved sitting outside today 🙂 I’m enjoying the sun and the BEAUTIFUL sunsets lately.
Vicki–Did you enjoy your birthday?
I did Emily. It was a whole new twist. Thank you
Nice night out there tonight as it feels very comfortable. Pool is getting warmer at about 65 degrees so maybe first swim this weekend .
Our pool has finally climbed into the upper 60’s, it’s 68 degrees 🙂
Vicki Happy Belated Birthday!!!
Hi JimmyJames. Thank you 🙂 🙂 Did you watch the LPGA US open. I’m trying to find the station for mac. I saw the 11 yr old. She is amazing but seems so old for her 11 yrs
Hi Vicki… I did not watch the U.S. Women’s Open. I know NBC will have weekend coverage from 3-6 both days. Today it was on ESPN 2 and maybe there tomorrow with World Cup Coverage on ESPN.
I was watching the PGA tour event as the tour is in my home state this week. First round started on a rainy note but the rest of the tournament the weather looks great.
Thanks JJ. Mac was watching PGA also.
This morning has got to be Don Kent’s …… “summer polar air”.
Agreed. Nice term he coined. 😀
Enjoying this great stretch of weather through the weekend. Humidity up starting early next week. I always look at those overnight lows in determining with the comfort level will be for the day. When there in the 50s that is a dry airmass. When the lows are mid 60s and higher that tends to lead to a sticky day ahead.
Boring weather pattern so looking ahead to the next thunderstorm threat and it looks to be middle of next week.

😆
We all know what that means this far ahead! 😀
But, as always, we shall keep watching it.
IF the Capes are High and the Lifted Indices are way negative the day
of the event, then I’ll get worried. This far ahead it’s just comical.
BUT don’t stop posting the links. I like to follow it just the same.
Good morning!! Beautiful morning, saw Revis going to Gillette OTA’s this morning, couldn’t believe it, I waved to him, and he waved back lol 🙂
Good day everyone!!
What’ up with Eric Fisher?
He was gone, then came back for a few days and was gone again for a whole week.
I hope all is well.
IF I have to watch Todd Gutner one more time on the 11PM broadcast, I think
I’ll PUKE.
I want ERIC back!! waaa waaa waaa waaa

LOL !
I really think he and Keller are in cahoots. Keller was gone for a week, back for a couple of days and is also among the missing.
Summit of Mt. Washington at 29.4F, one of the cooler temps I’ve seen in a while.
Break out the skis! 😆
It is cool, but it is beautiful!! It looks “Marvelous”
I love the deep blue to the sky.
I miss watching Eric Fisher on The Weather Channel. He is a great meteorologist in my opinion and BZ is fortunate to have him as part of their weather team.
They might be breaking the skis out in Glacier National Park in Montana. I saw a picture outside of a cabin there on the news this morning and it looked like the middle of winter with several inches of snow on the ground.
Agreed ….. His blog discussions that he posts over at BZ are like TK’s, of the highest quality.
Can you imagine coming out of a cabin the day before the summer solstice to accumulating snow ? Probably kind of fun, I’d bet thats one nasty solar glare. 🙂
I agree about Eric’s blogs. He makes it easy to understand and posts graphics where someone who does not have
a lot of knowledge of weather could make sense of it.
I absolutely agree. He and TK have a lot in common re their style. I also like that he politely doesn’t let the trolls get away with much.
Open Day for all of the Boston Harbor Islands. If you have not visited you really should give it a try this summer. Its a lot of fun.

My Mom was a volunteer for years and enjoyed it greatly. That’s her in the lower picture. I was gave her a hard time about her big sun glasses, she didn’t care because they were comfortable. 🙂

Speaking of Eric, I hope he visits Revere and/or Nantasket Beach. I went to those as a kid for the rides at Revere and Paragon Park at Nantasket. 🙂 Any old-timers here should remember those days. 😉
Also, what happened to Michelle Roberts these days? It is interesting that WBZ is the only station without a back-up traffic reporter.
We didn’t frequent Revere as a child, however, I have many memories
of Paragon Park, many.
I find that interesting OS, considering Revere was and still is more accessible to public transit. For us, it was just the opposite. When my mother was a kid, there was a boat from Rhodes Wharf? to Nantasket then in my, my father would take the expressway by car.
*then in my day, my father would take the expressway by car.
We didn’t reside in or near the City, so Revere was not
the destination. Btw, it’s Rowe’s Wharf. I’ve taken that boat to Nantasket. 😀
Seeing some areas with dew points in the 40s right now across SNE which is a real treat this time of year.
Boston is ONLY 73 with dew point of 41!!! Doesn’t get much drier than that
this time of year!
This is a bit cool for me. For Summer, I like about 85. 😀
For me, 85 is my limit…after that, I start to get a bit uncomfortable even if dewpoints are in check. 🙂
I agree. 85 is about it, Can go to 88 if really dry.
85 with HIGH dew point is intolerable!!
Couldn’t be more perfect weather for the wedding in Newport. No humidity so we don’t sweat and cool evening. Sun is shining through some high clouds. Bride was a little nervous yesterday with the rain and told her to calm down
Enjoy. Love Newport!
It sure is a perfect June day for a wedding. And you are in a beautiful area as well!
20c 850 mb temps on the 12z EURO for 6/30.
Showing biggest ridge of warm season to date.
We’ll see if that comes true, been some hints at future warm surges before.
But 20c at 850, wow, that would be hot !
Hi all!
Great weather pattern.
Eventually we start getting some heat in here.
Strong signs showing up now. I still don’t think we are going to bust into a massive heat wave but lots of 80s, some 90+ days coming, with cooler interludes of course. This was the pattern that we hinted at a couple weeks ago starting around June 20, and it’s about to get underway. Summer pattern, just in time for … Summer (which begins tomorrow morning not long after sunrise). 🙂
A blog update will be posted by the end of the afternoon. Probably a short post again this time.
INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION will fly across the sky and pass almost overhead at 9PM (visible for a total of 4 minutes) from NW to SE this evening. Mostly perfect sky for it (some high clouds though). Go out and have a look!
Blog is updated!
