A slow-moving cold front is touching off showers and a few thunderstorms at this time, and this will continue for a few more hours (into the evening). A pool of cold air aloft will then cross the region Thursday, keeping clouds dominant and providing a risk of more showers. This upper level cold pool will be slow to exit late this week and a couple other disturbances will insure we don’t see complete clearing Friday or Saturday.

Rain has stopped for the time being in Framingham. Thanks for the update TK. My family now asks me what is on the blog I go to for weather instead of checking the main channels. Please don’t forget to scream for help if you need any. I don’t know what I can do since you know the forecast but I’m always willing to try 🙂
Thanks Vicki! I’ll let you know. At some point I may be bringing in a former coworker to forecast with me, but that’s not set in stone at this time. Just the next step in my taking over of the weather media for Boston… LOL j/k!
Hey TK-nice start to the game you think. Can you believe washington may get swept tonight.
John do you mind if I ask a landscaping question? We have grubs on our front lawn. A few spots. Do we use regular grub stuff you get at the store to get rid of them?? Thank you for your help !!
I would love to see Washington get swept tonight. Can’t stand ’em.
Tampa Bay in 4. Bruins in 5.
Tampa Bay vs Boston in conference finals. Bruins in 6.
TK-I can’t believe I am about to say this but hear I go. We may have a shot at the cup this year. I think the briuns sweep flyers and match up good against tampa bay. A hot goalie can take you all the way home, and he is smoking hot. On the other hand I can’t get last year out of my head up 3 to well you know. Bruins need to wrap this up friday.
Bruins are up 4-1 after 2 periods…keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t blow this one. An excellent opportunity to finish off Philly Friday night! The good news is that this year Flyers goaltending stinks.
Hey TK, your prediction of the Sox game being delayed was spot on as always! The latest radar has the back edge of the rain near Worcester. My guess is it’s going to be a looong night at Fenway. I have noticed over the years that the Red Sox don’t do well during rain delays…even at home. Hopefully they continue the win streak.
You could see by looking upstream that the rain ribbon was going to be around for several hours this evening. The front is moving so slowly and the upper winds are nearly parallel with it.
Philip spot on the Flyers goal tending is in shambles during the playoffs. I would be shocked if the Bruins are not going on to play in the eastern finals. As for the Celtics must win in game 3 or series over.
Jimmy, I absolutely agree with you regarding the Celtics. W/O Shaq though, they probably won’t win the series anyway. Quite a shame, but maybe the Bruins can bring a championship to Boston…they are certainly long overdue.:-)
I know I should not do this after last year but the Bruins Lightning series I think could be very entertaining.
I don’t want to leave the Red Sox out of the sports discussion but too bad they can’t play the Angels all the time since they beat up on them and have not lost to them this season.
The way the sky looked today with all the downpours and all, it really seemed that there should have been lots of thunder with vivid lightning as well. I believe that if this had been “July” the atmosphere would have been quite ripe for it.
Good morning. Are you still thinking we’ll see lots of showers today? I told my husband I’d ask. It’s his golf league day again. It was canceled last week (opening week) so he’s hoping they will play today. Thank you.
Hi Vicki-Yes the stuff in the store is what you want, and put it down now. Any grub product will work but I would suggest Bayer. Sorry about the delayed response but not on as much since winter is over, but still will be checking in. Feel free to ask me any landscape questions as I would love to help out. Hope all is going well. When is it going to be warm and stay warm.
Thank you John ill search for Bayer. I appreciate the help. Have a great night
I use a commercial product dylox, it’s restricted use though 🙂
Hey TK and Co.
Have tickets to Saturdays afternoon game. Will we be rained out? There seems to have been some back and forth about it…
This comment might be off the beaten path but here we go, just got back from Atlanta and there building some beautiful glass skyscrapers that will stand around 650ft, I’ve been traveling back and forth to Atlanta since 1997 and I notice sudden changes in there skyline, I feel like even the loop around Atlanta has beautiful skyscrapers that r between 200-400ft, here they have trouble building anything over 100ft, I feel like here where there’s no room, and no skyscrapers allowed in suburbs this area is in very a slow death, there they have tons of room and build tall, here were worried about shadow and change, sorry to be way about the weather blog but I just don’t get it, perfect example is Liberty Mutual head quarters wanted to build a nice sleek 289ft tower in front of the John Hancock tower, remember this company has been in Boston since the early 1900’s, and the neighborhood activist r fighting that a 12 min shadow from 812-824, so now liberty mutual is thinking of scrapping plans and staying in there old 1940 building, even now says there thinking of leaving the area, it’s just awful, I don’t get it here, any comments 🙂
Sorry
Anyone have a decent update on mothers day. I see a myraid of forecasts. Looking at the NAM and it’s ugly but the GFS seems like it has support from euro and
Cmc. We go every year to the lilac festival at the arboretum and it has been so nice the last couple of years.
Beautiful day today 65 in N.Attleboro, pool water is 58 deg 🙂
Incredibly dry out there today, dew points are running in the mid to upper 20’s. without the recent rain, we would have a high fire danger today.
Tomorrow should be another nice day, maybe a shower in the afternoon. no big storms in sight for the next 84 hours.
Charlie, it was 30 this morning in Orange does that count being so far away? I like Boston Cream Donuts by the way.
