Sunday Morning Update

7:45AM

So far, snow showers have been confined mainly to an area just inland and south of Boston with South Weymouth MA topping 2 inches, slightly less in nearby areas, and mix/rain showers from the immediate shoreline through Cape Cod, with lighter snow showers back into parts of RI. Very little has taken place from Boston northward. With cold air remaining in place and an onshore flow continuing, will keep the threat of snow and rain showers going though lessening somewhat into Monday, then more of a drizzle and fog threat by Tuesday as low level moisture increases and air warms aloft and slightly at the surface. Still looking for a weakening low to make an attempt to pass southeast of the region Tuesday but losing its identity as it does so. As low pressure develops and intensifies while moving through the Great Lakes and into Ontario on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we will see the passage of a warm front on the eve bringing some rain/fog/drizzle for part of Christmas Eve and a band of rain showers and possible thunderstorms in the early hours of Christmas Day as a cold front swings through from the west. In between the two fronts a significant spike in temperature may take place. There is not all that much cold air available to be pulled in behind the cold front so expect a modest cool-down but a chilly-feeling breeze arriving by later Christmas Day after a wet start as rain showers linger. We should see a colder trend but not a plunge into really cold air late in the week.

SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND FORECAST…
TODAY: Mostly cloudy though some breaks of sun may develop later in the day especially well inland. Areas of snow showers initially mainly south of Boston except rain showers around Cape Cod, then a chance of snow showers in northeastern MA and southeastern NH with only minor accumulation possible. Highs in the 30s, around 40 Cape Cod. Wind NE 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Scattered snow showers except mix/rain showers Cape Cod. Lows 25-30 interior areas, 30-35 coastal areas. Wind light NE.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy. Scattered snow showers except rain showers Cape Cod. Highs in the 30s. Wind NE 5-15 MPH.

    1. LOL, you are the best OS !

What I wouldnt give for a TV Met to be able to go on live and be able to add in your creative assessments of the weather. It would be great, though the FCC might get a few calls. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. Well I would want to eat that for DESSERT.
But it’s a mighty fine image of a DESERT.

Latest GFS depiction of β€œNew Years Eve” storm. Looking Less and less LIKELY
that it will be a SNOW STORM. Looking more and more like it will be an inside RUNNER. But of course it is a LONG WAY out there, so we’ll just watch it. BUT
I don’t like the looks of it so far.

Early signs from the Euro, although timing different, also point to an inside runner
    if not a cutter.

    1. Not looking good for Wednesday. Hope those models are overdoing the precip amounts for the flooding sake. TK seems to think so, and I do too.

  2. Well the little patch of snow by the end of our driveway still survives. Other than that I’m not sure we even had flakes last night

Looks as if Santa will be using rudolph this year.

  3. Moderate rain …..

Its fairly dark to our north …… Looks like the sun wants to peak out towards our south and southeast.

    1. No snow on the ground, but as of last night, if I went a couple miles to my west, particularly after getting west of Rte. 3, there was a thick inch on the lawns, the pine trees looked awesome coated in white and the roads were greasy. They were putting down salt in Pembroke.

      1. Indeed. Saw that in S. Weymouth yesterday.

Driving home it was just like driving in a raging snowstorm, but
then Poof we were out of it. πŸ˜€

      1. Nope. I’ll give hints if Required. πŸ˜€

I’ll say this, it’s NOT in the East anywhere. πŸ˜€

          1. Ok you were good sport. Here is the info:

ARIZONA SNOWBOWL – ONE OF THE OLDEST, CONTINUALLY RUN SKI AREAS IN THE U.S.
Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, the Arizona Snowbowl lies 14 miles outside of Flagstaff, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 70 miles from the Grand Canyon. The resort opened in 1938 and operates from
9 AM to 4 PM daily.

            At A Glance…
            Base elevation β€” 9,200 feet
            Summit elevation β€” 11,500 feet
            Vertical drop β€” 2,300 feet
            Skiable acres β€” 777

            1. Well at least that shows I really didn’t read anything before guessing. Also shows my guess was pathetic :). Thanks OS. I found myself getting lost in the beauty of the picture regardless of its location

            2. That’s some good elevation for Arizona. After skiing west coast mountains a couple years ago for the first time, there’s NOTHING comparable on the east coast. Just all around better skiing. Can’t wait to go back.

              1. Yes. This place is fascinating.
Not all that far from Phoenix
and they average 260 inches of snow per year. Flagstaff, about
14 miles South and 2,000 or so feet less elevation averages 140 inches per year.

Instead of location location location it’s elevation elevation elevation.

Changes the whole climate of the area.

From Cactus to Pine trees with a logging industry. πŸ˜€

  4. Looks like the coastal front has shifted and it is somewhere between
    Marshfield and Boston/Milton.

Wind NE at Plymouth and Marshfield and North at Boston and Milton and Norwood.

      1. Marshfield is the coastal front’s main residence. πŸ™‚

The thing should pay taxes, its here so often …….

  5. Winter wonderland out there this morning here. Granted, only about 3/4″ fell, but it coated everything giving some brightness and color to the landscape other than the dirty dismal brown of dormant winter earth. I know some will disagree, but it really is snow that makes the winter bearable. Winter can be a long depressing season and even more depressing without snow.

  6. FWIW, DT’s thoughts on the pattern change and weather into January pretty much echos TK’s thinking as far as pattern change (colder weather) with chances of a return to a milder pattern like the one we’re currently in. The one difference is DT thinks the colder pattern may set up chances of storminess on the east coast as opposed to TK’s thinking of cold and dry

      1. I like reading him.

I don’t like this though “1) a very strong negative NAO developing over southern Greenland…”

        OTS

        1. That is the reason I’m leaning dry during the cold period.

I still think sometime later Winter we get into a snowy period for a time.

But I am almost certain this is NOT going to be the gangbusters Winter that so many felt was a certainty based only on October snowcover in Siberia and the potential of a weak El Nino.

Never turn your back on QBO and MJO. In fact those very 2 indices are why my forecast, which was much more tame than many, to this point, is not that great either.

  7. Radar showing echoes up in NH.

A Concord, NH webcam shows a beautiful lightly falling snow.

Watch, somewhere up in NH will get a big surprise today πŸ™‚

  8. Ace,

Nice. Vail I am more familiar with than loveland. I have heard of loveland.
Isn’t there a Loveland pass through the mountains?

My brother has skiied Vail, I always wanted to, but never made it.

    1. I liked Vail but if i go again i dont think i would go there. Spent the entire day in lift lines and trying to figure out where the heck i was. Wasnt until the end of the day i found a nice area to ski. Loveland was an old school ski area, no frills, no bars on the chair lifts, pretty much unchanged since it opened in the early 1900s. Reports an average of 422″ of snow annually.

  9. Eric Fisher ‏@ericfisher 3m3 minutes ago Boston, MA
The additional rainfall expected from this storm may put Boston into one of its top 5 wettest December’s ever recorded. #climate

      1. It has been several years..perhaps longer….since I’ve seen the Sudbury river so swollen at this time of year. Oddly, the water that runs through the property of the wayside inn, Sudbury, is down to mud and I don’t recall ever seeing that. I figure somehow they control it.

  10. Well I messed up regarding snow sticking in boston as I realy thought it would. Go pats. I don’t see a blowout today tough game and huge game for jets.

    1. The snow sticking on the streets never had a chance in the city, even if it had snowed there a bit more than it did. Pavements simply too warm to hold more than brief coatings.

  11. Huh. What’s this?

A SECONDARY SYSTEM DEEPENS ACROSS THE FOUR CORNERS ON FRIDAY AND
WITH THE STUBBORN TROUGH OVER THE CENTRAL U.S…IT WILL PUSH A
SYSTEM TOWARDS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND BY SUNDAY. THIS SYSTEM MAY
SUPPORT A MODEST SWATH OF OVERRUNNING SNOW OVER SOUTHERN NEW
    ENGLAND.

  12. Have to watch for a sneaky system sometime next weekend. Way off. Low confidence. Somewhere between the late Saturday and early Sunday time frame based on extrapolation of potentially reliable signals.

BTW Marshfield can rain all they want. They don’t deserve snow. They won’t let anyone say Merry Christmas. πŸ˜› BAHAHAHA-HUMBUG!

    1. Let me rephrase that slightly. It should just pour rain on top of all the people that want to change the names of vacation to Winter Break or whatever it is. They can change it to Holiday Break, so it covers everything. Winter Break is in FEBRUARY unless you are Charlie then it’s SPRING BREAK, part 1. Oh and they don’t want to let people write “Merry Christmas” on a sign. I could not disagree with them any more than I do. They don’t get it. Clueless. 100% clueless.

      Editorial over. πŸ™‚

      1. Ummmm. They did change it to holiday break. And it should be that. And from the reports it was the people who removed the sign not the town. I don’t believe in coincidences. I do believe in being inclusive. I do not believe we have ever been inclusive at this time of year but we are improving. I do not believe being inclusive takes away from Christmas…..it enhances it.

Told you not to get me started. Bottom line….I have a problem with using Christmas signs to protest inclusion. Just include all and your Christmas will be brighter.

      2. Tk I could not agree more as marshfield is where I grew up and realy considering posting an article in the local mariner to let those people know how embarrassed I am. It’s merry Christmas and it always will be. If you don’t like it keep your mouth shut and don’t ruin it for the everybody else. As I was not mad enough about the vacation crap that removal of the sign put me over the edge. Next they’ll tell me I can’t decorate my grandparents grave in the town center.

    2. The good news coming out of the issue …… is that, more people have up lights in Marshfield than I can ever remember. And, I think its helped make those of us who celebrate Christmas, celebrate it with more belief and passion then ever.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hunnukah or Happy/Merry whatever people celebrate. And to those, who celebrate nothing ….. Happy nothing.

      Is anything ever simple …… πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      1. Never simple, Tom. I’d be happier if I saw People with Christmas lights display a menorah as well and vice versa but that might be too simple too.

      2. I love that people responded with more lights. I have complete respect for all people that celebrate all varieties of holidays. I love the celebrations of Hanukkah, Kwanza, Ramadan, Christmas, all of it… If you choose not to celebrate a holiday, so be it. I respect that too. I guess it just seems that often it is Christmas that comes under attack. I know it’s not always the case and none of them should ever come under attack. Be who you are, celebrate what you will, and harm nobody. That’s how it should work.

“Happy Holidays” is a phrase I love even though I know some purists that do not. To me, that phrase covers all the above holidays as well as New Year.

And if somebody, say a store clerk, says “Merry Christmas” to me, they obviously don’t know if I do Christmas or not, unless I tell them. To me that’s not offensive whatsoever. I just take the greeting as a very nice gesture and wish for the season. If I was Jewish, I’d feel the same regardless of whether they said “Christmas” or “Hanukkah” to me. I’d be happy with the wish. It’s a hell of a lot better than someone being rude to you or telling you to “f*** off”. People need to relax, and smile more. πŸ˜€

        1. Agree with all except Christmas isn’t under attack by asking it to move over a bit and include all.

Ok I need to move aside and focus on weather which is always inclusive !!

          1. “under attack” is probably not the best phrase for the point I was trying to make. πŸ™‚

I just think it gets more press. I did see a story about a lady denied putting up a menorah recently.

    3. You might not want to get me started on marshfield. And other than this it is a Wonderful town IMHO. And thank you!

      1. Of course. It’s not the town of Marshfield. Just some sour people that don’t really understand what it’s all about.

      2. I actually think the whole thing, from both sides of the issue ….. is completely overblown.

2 hot spots …. The naming of the December vacation and a DPW sign wishing a Merry Christmas.

Just my take ….. School systems are supposed to be representative of all. And everyone in any school system does not celebrate Christmas. So, I personally dont see any issue with calling it a Holiday Break. As long as people have the right to celebrate the vacation any way they want to, I’m good with it.

The DPW sign is more complicated, so I wont go there.

Both sides, in my opinion, are overreacting. Its an opportunity for everyone to celebrate their beliefs/holidays while realizing that many Holidays are being celebrated in this time frame.

Instead, as only us human beings can do, a golden opportunity for understanding has evolved into a polarizing issue. What else is new ………

        1. I agree completely Tom. And I understand the reaction on both sides. On the side of those not included, it took an outcry to be listened too. The communities I have lived in have large Jewish populations. I’ve seen first hand that quiet requests didnt change anything so it took noise. Those who celebrate Christmas have never had it any other way and change is difficult which I totally get. and in many cases overwhelms enough that it is difficult to stand back and look at the reason.

I agree re holiday break and think the overreaction to that resulted in what is happening now. The media is the biggest problem…….so unlike the media eh?

  13. Very light snow falling in Woburn since before dawn. Initial feather dusting but nothing on the ground now.

      1. You almost have to be out there to see it. You probably had the feather dusting earlier. It was there at 7:30, evaporated by 8:30. And it’s also possible it didn’t snow there, just 2 miles from me.

  14. After seeing a few patches of blue earlier …. Its clouded back in again.

I thing the “colder” air may be moving back in because the wind is around to the north and is slightly picking up again.

A light rain seems to be starting up again. I’m curious to see what comes of this small precip area centered around Rhode Island. Perhaps we’ll end with a bit of snow ?? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  15. Here’s a slightly different view on this “Christmas” issue. As currently constituted, America as a country has no real identity in terms of culture. This may come as a shock to some people, but when u really thing about it, it’s true. We are a mixture of people from many different origins bringing our cultures, customs, and religions with them. It’s what makes this country great but also the source of many of today’s problems. It’s funny, those who embrace this diversity are also those who believe labeling things as Christmas and other Christian holiday time periods is fine, and curse and ridicule those who are offended. We can’t have it both ways. I’m not saying we shouldn’t say Christmas, it is our rights as citizens to freedom of religion, and not saying this is my view, but its something to consider. In these times of political correctness and sensitivity, this is a hot button issue and will only get worse. It’s a fine line but one with very little compromise.

    1. I would never insult ones religious belief but what right do people have to bring this merry Christmas stuff up every single year. To me it’s offensive and why should I havto explain to my 10 yr old son why some people have a problem saying merry Christmas . I make it a point to say it more and to compleat strangers more merry Christmas . That’s all I’m going to say but this is a very special day for kids and adults alike.

      1. John think about it this way. You know how you feel when Christmas is removed. That is how others feel when their holidays are (and always have been) left out. And as Ace said….they have the right under our laws…it is the understanding and acceptance they are looking for.

    2. Just posting some #’s here and to be honest I’m not sure how accurate they are.

Massachusetts is sbout 70% Christian (this number is from Wikipedia and the American Association of Religious Archives.

Marshfield #’s are roughly 87% Christian.

My personal opinion is more in line with TK’s but it is hot a button issue that I believe is only enhanced by our friends in today’s entertainment…err I mean news media.

    3. Ace …I think it will be solved. It has been in framingham. This was a hot topic when my kids were in grammar school. They are your age. It went overboard to,the other extreme, but only at the start, as things often do when change needs to occur. Now, there is a great mix in our schools and no one even thinks about it. My kids just shrug their shoulders at all of this and believe the younger generation for the most part feels the same.

    4. I agree Acemaster but try telling that to the 100’s of millions of people south of the Mason dixon line that, it won’t fly and doesn’t fly, 1st hand from living in Texas for many years most go out of there way to say merry Christmas, I’ve had many people thank for saying merry Christmas, this happens in many many nany other southern states,

  16. It’s kind of amusing in a way to think of a low pressure center that the GFS once had off the coast and producing a Christmas Day snowstorm is actually going to track through the west central Great Lakes. πŸ˜‰

  17. town… do not have christmas parties
teachers we can not have christmas parties and put christmas lights up in the halls anymore
    kids.. we did it anyway.

the kid was not mad after that lol
just a funny story because even if a holiday is not your holiday does not mean that you can not celebrate parts of it as well, heck I have a freind that moved here from Iraq, really nice girl and all and she celebrates 2 holidays at her house

  18. I say merry Christmas always have, if you wish me happy hannakua i won’t be offended, I wish it back πŸ™‚

  19. Its great to hear everyone’s take and I respect everyone’s opinion !

Its issues like this though that make me want to take my family and head for a deserted island.

I would need internet though, to stay updated on sports and weather ……. and ……most importantly, to have access to TK’s best weather blog around. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Wouldnt you love that weather update everyday …. 86F, humid, 4pm thunderstorm …..

    1. Of course, who am I kidding ?

By bringing the wife and the kids along, I’d never get access to the internet. πŸ™‚

    2. I say far too often that I just want to move to a deserted island….not good is it. And I would Even give up the Internet. And I enjoy sharing opinions and always respect those of others……we all know I rarely have a strong opinion. The best part is we all share here with respect.

        1. I needed to stir the pot. There isn’t enough Winter weather for people to be preoccupied with. Besides, O.S. needs a distraction from the putrid pattern he’s suffering through. πŸ˜‰ heeheehee

  20. Most people have no idea what being really offended really means. It is so watered down now it has little meaning to me.

      1. Oh, maybe so ….

I was trying to change the topic back to weather, I have no idea what the GFS said. πŸ™‚

Like when there’s a raging disagreement in the house, I invariably usually shout out ……. “how bout those Red Sox ?”

        It rarely works in that case too !! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  21. Since when did this become a blog about liberal nonsense….this country was founded on judeo-Christian principles whether you like it or not…now there was a clear separation of church and state in the sense that the governement should not be involved in religion, but it does not mean the values of the country were not and are not based on a predominantly Christian western way of thinking. Everyone is allowed to have a culture except for Christian Americans, and god forbid they happen to be white too! I consider myself a libertarian and the less meddling from pretentious liberal elitists the better. But they probably know what’s better for me anyways so I should just go with the flow

    1. This country was based on freedom of and from religion. As I said, the founding fathers were specific that the predominant religion should not rule.

      Liberal nonsense???

      1. β€œThe government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.”
        ― George Washington

    2. im a liberal but i think we should be able to express our religion and be able to celebrate christmas, if they want to celebrate their holiday by doing major things in cities go on ahead,
Another funny story to add from earlier,
One year, a neibor that does not celebrate christmas, got all mad when we decorated the large pine tree in my front yard, Some of my other niebors have joined in and started to decorate thier outside too. We told them if you want to put stuff out in your yard to celebrate your holiday go on ahead no one is stopping you. Oh by the way, this year, we got a star on the top…

    1. We still celebrate the solstice on December 13 so I forget that it is now tonight. Thanks, Tom.

I can’t even recall, what calendar had it on the 13th but that is the date of Santa Lucia.

  22. Alright let’s not forget there is a huge game today. Trust me the jets want this one bad and probably will be the last we see of big mouth Rex as he is probably going to be fired next Sunday night.

      1. Hahahaha. I had an amazing woman at Katy Gibbs who taught spelling. She gave us many little tips to,remember how things were spelled and I still recall most. One was that it is always all right just as it is all wrong. She is smiling down on you, John πŸ™‚

  23. Happy Solstice! Or is that too pagan. πŸ˜‰

I love the season, regardless of my or anyone’s beliefs. You all have your right to opinion and a right to express them.

It’s fine we air them here at times, as long as we don’t lose sight of the fact it is a weather blog and that should be the primary focus.

-from your middle of the road, fiscally somewhat-conservative socially somewhat-liberal don’t think political parties are a good idea moderator. πŸ˜‰

I am going on a nice walk this afternoon with my son, ’round Horn Pond in Woburn and probably up and over the mountain as well, Patriots game in my ears as we stroll and chat about the season and other aspects of life. The best. πŸ™‚

It’s A Wonderful Life is on our movie list for later, and it surely is a wonderful life, but it takes a little work sometimes to make it that way. πŸ˜€

    Good afternoon and go Pats!

I’ll be back around dusk to update the blog again. πŸ˜€ Behave!

    1. Enjoy your walk. It is a perfect day….well, all are perfect but this has a nice winter feel. And I straightened my halo so will have no choice to be anything but good.

  24. My 2 cents on the holiday v. Christmas issue. In my view, saying Happy Holidays is okay, but Holiday tree instead of Christmas tree is ridulous.

Christmas trees are Christmas trees. Just as menorahs are menorahs. While the Christmas tree has its roots in pagan rituals in Germany, it has evolved over time to signify something that is both religious and decorative. The word Christmas denotes what the holiday is about: the celebration of the birth of Christ (who was Jewish, by the way). Some may adorn their Christmas trees with crosses (as is still customary in parts of Europe in people’s homes, but also hotel lobbies, restaurants, and post offices). At the same time, some may see the Christmas tree as merely decorative. An atheist, for example, could buy a Christmas tree to brighten up her apartment during the dark days of December. Whatever the purpose, calling it a Holiday tree removes all reference to the origin of the holiday! It also begs the question, what holiday! If you tell a European friend you have a holiday tree, they’ll ask β€œwhat holiday?” or β€œyou must mean a Christmas tree?”

I was raised Jewish. My mother is Protestant. Hence, my `ecumenical’ background. One thing I learned growing up is to respect all religions, and also those who do not believe in any higher being. The only way to be truly tolerant in my opinion is to be honest and candid in our naming of religious objects. I know this runs counter to the minions of political correctness. But, quite frankly if either a Christmas tree or a menorah offends someone then the onus should be on the person who is being offended to explain why. Is the person offended by Christ? By Christianity? In the case of the menorah, by Judaism? We should not be burdened by a politically correct atmosphere in which by trying not to offend we wind up uttering vacuous phrases like Holiday tree.

As far as the weather is concerned, this has got to be the grayest December in recent memory. It’s been a nearly constant gloom outside for the last 3 or 4 weeks. Hard for me to take, I must say.

  25. This is exactly what the Patriots look like in the first half of games. Lining up for a second half blowout.

Sugar coating. Steady light snow out here. Pretty for the season.

  26. I read this blog daily and haven’t posted anything in several years though I read every day. My significant other was just diagnosed with cancer and having surgery this week before Christmas. Suddenly getting passionate about what to call a holiday, what a sign says or falling apart over a lack of snow doesn’t seem so important . How frequently it is that we don’t realize what’s really important to us until we’re threatned with losing it……?

    1. M.L. I am soooo very sorry and will keep you both in my prayers. As you may know my husband is also battling cancer. If you just want to talk or want doctor names or anything at all, I am here as I know from experience is everyone else on this blog. I’d be happy to get my email to you as well. God Bless and one day or even minute at a time.

    2. M.L I know how it feels to have a family member diagnosed with Cancer. I saw a change in my grandmother in august when i was staying at her place.. Pool was closed she never closed the pool until late september, tried telling my family, they would not listen. They finally saw it when she was not coming to my house unanounced and the final one was when she did not hold thanksgiving. She was then diagnosed with Brain cancer on the night of dec 22. I hope all goes well with the surgery, hopefully its at a stage that it can be fully fixed

  27. 12z EURO has a 1010 mb low in the SE US and 24 hrs later, its a sub 980 mb bomb in the maritimes. Time period is around 12/28 or 12/29.

    1. Gives us about a foot of snow in that depiction. Doubt it happens but we’ll see.

In other news, the Pats picked are throwing in another first half stinker today. I’m becoming very worried about their prospects. Might be a one and done playoff team even if they get the top seed.

      1. Forgot to take out the word “picked”, lol. Was gonna say they picked a bad day to throw in a first half stinker, but then realized they do it basically every game πŸ™‚

  28. Another 1st half PATRIOTS PISS-POOR PERFORMANCE.

They better wake up and soon!!

    PUTHETIC.

I can’t stand this anymore. NO EXCUSE for this.

Brady sacked 4 time in the 1st half. C’mon guys, get it in gear!

  29. If I am a Patriots fan I have some concerns going forward. You look back at the first time Pats played the Jets. Pats won blocking a game winning field goal. If the Jets could have scored touchdowns in the red zone instead of field goals that game I believe they would have won.

  30. The religious talk above is interesting…but we have all these problems today because its a lack of Faith! If you take God out of everything anything goes and you begin to see things spiraling out of control.

    1. It is funny how perspective makes a difference. For me I see Gods hand in this discussion…..we are all His children…No matter religious choice or lack of choice.

    1. It’s not a surprise. This matchup is always tough and the jets want to derail them in the worse way. Win or loose pats wake up.

  31. so let’s see…third and two at the 8 yard line…a good place for another running play…oh wait a minute that’s not what Josh McDaniels would do….

  32. That game in my ears made the walk a bit more interesting but what a wonderful walk it was. Light snow the entire time. Magic in the air.

  33. ps patriots never have their best games against the jets. It was close, Lot of clock eaten up and everything.
In other news, been a light snow falling since about 11am No accumulation
What is the euro on drugs or something

  34. I am sorry to hear about the terrible news, M.L.

I see the holiday season – whether Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or New Year’s – as a time of reflection on the year’s that’s been, but also a rebirth and focus on life ahead in the new year. The festivals of lights clearly bring much-needed brightness on dark days. But, they’re also symbolic, in my view, of: a. a rekindling of our lives as we prepare for the new year; a contemplation on the difficulties many people face (in- and outside our families), whether because of poverty, illness, or misfortune.

  35. i need andrew luck to get some points for me for my fantasy team! Im in a championship and in down by 14 points πŸ™
