    Today’s AccuWeather Trivia Quiz.

How much snow fell on this date in 1893?
    A. 13.7”
    B. 15.7”
    C. 17.7”
    D. 19.7”

Answer later today … probably before the Pats game … I’m a train wreck already and it’s about 12 hours to game time.!

    1. JimmyJames answered this:
Total guess I am going to go with C.
As far as the games go today both favorites will win today setting up a Seahawks Patroits Super Bowl in the desert two weeks from today.
Seahawks 27 Packers 20 Rodgers not 100% going in. Seattle defense is strong just like it was when they won Super Bowl last season. Only two teams have won in Seattle the last two seasons Cardinals and Cowboys making it a very tough place to win
Patroits 34 Colts 17 Good season by the Colts but not enough talent to beat the Patriots. You take Andrew Luck away there not even a playoff team. Patriots should be able to run the ball easily like they did when they met earlier in season in Indy since the Colts defense is not that good.
Those are my thoughts on the games. I would like to hear yours.
Congrats to all four teams getting this far!

          1. Oops! Was that in the forecast? I just got a freezing rain advisory on my phone posted for my area until noon today

  2. Thanks TK.
Freezing rain outside my window. Walked outside and a glaze starting to form. I am not going to 9AM mass as a result of this freezing rain coming down.

  3. NWS Boston ‏@NWSBoston 2m2 minutes ago
Receiving numerous reports (Tweets) regarding slick roads in/around I-95 corridor thru Connecticut due to freezing drizzle/rain.

  4. I must say this was a botched forecast by the mets (I am not blaming anyone in particular), and this has serious implications for drivers. Freezing rain is MUCH worse than snow. It is the most dangerous precipitation. With the temperatures as low as they were the past 36 hours and a Low moving like a rocket (TK’s words), freezing rain might have been expected in a much wider area and should have been in the forecast. While the cold air is being displaced by warmer air aloft, the surface will remain quite cold for a considerable amount of time. Even when we get above freezing on the thermometers outside our kitchen windows, the ground and surfaces will be below freezing for a while longer. So, rain will freeze on contact. Everyone who is driving today, especially in the interior, be careful.

  5. As I said earlier walked out to get in my car to go to 9AM mass and the freezing rain was coming down at a good clip and the driveway in my condo complex was getting glazed along with my car. I decided to not go to church.
This is a mess here in CT where this freezing rain is happening.

    1. Been following this for a while myself but withholding going that way since we did look like we may lock December’s pattern well into January and that didn’t happen either. So we’ll see…

  6. There telling us here in CT stay off the roads through the morning. Looking at the radar you could see the freezing extending back towards the Philadelphia area and there have been numerous problems down there.

    1. Coast will be okay, I think. It’s the interior that concerns me, with temps in the 20s throughout western and central Mass. as well as a lot of Ct.

The news on diminishing snow chances doesn’t surprise me. We’re in for a very dismal year as far as snow is concerned. This said, it’s not an especially mild winter. I thought it would be, but January will likely be well below average temperature-wise. Usually when it’s cold it also snows, at least a few times. Not this year.

      1. These pictures are frightening ……

There’s that horrible split second feeling, when time slows down, as the car wont respond to any action to control the sliding or spinning, that your thinking …… “this cant be happening”, while your stomach sinks to your feet. Then the crunch and jolt arrives.

I guess that experience NEVER leaves you.

  7. Thankful to be in SE Mass where the surface temp has moderated tremendously.

I wonder if a football championship game has ever been delayed due to lightning in the area.

Havent looked much more at this specific this morning, but at least last evening, I did read some mention of possible convection in SE Mass when that heavier band/squall line of showers comes through.

    1. To you point just a bit ago from NWS

THE POSITIONING OF THE JET AND THE TRACK OF THE LOW TOWARD THE CT COAST WILL ESTABLISH A ZONE OF GOOD ISENTROPIC LIFT OVER OUR AREA. THIS WILL AID IN BUILDING RAINFALL RATES THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ALSO…TOTALS CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 4OS AND LOWER 50S THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO SOME ISOLATED THUNDER IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

      1. Oh, thanks OS !

I hope somehow, most of this heavy stay can either …..

        A) delay

        B) come thru at half time

        C) focus most of its “fury” north and west of Foxboro.

        1. Agree, however, you KNOW what will happen?
It WILL seriously impact the game. I just hope the Pat’s get through it OK and grab the victory.

          1. Me too.

I know it will affect both teams the same, but, in a game of this importance, I really dont want the weather to be a factor.

One regular season game a year, sure, thats fun ! 🙂

  8. This goes to show you it does not take much ice to make things slippery. This is not an ice storm but all it takes is just that little bit of ice and BAM you got problems as were seeing here in CT down in the Philly area and points in between.

  9. 32.0 here. 4 Degree rise in 1 hour. At this time I am grateful for that rise.

I need to go out in 1/2 to 3/4 hour. Hopefully all will be aok by then.

  10. I also just got an advisory about 8:45. I thought it was another sent in error since I hadn’t heard anything about it so came here. JJ. Thank you for the update in CT. Son is in southern RI so I was able to txt him quickly.

I am not seeing rain here yet but haven’t checked the radar. Great discussion as always, everyone. Amazing how if never occurs to me anymore to go anywhere for weather but WHW

  11. Vickie,

    Did you catch the mole?

    I though of another way.

Call in your dermatologist to have it excised. 😀 😀 😀

    1. Hahahahaha. No. We haven’t seen it since daughter threw the box at it and LITERALLY scared the you know what out of it.

  12. Precipitation “appears” to be falling through ample DRY air up this way and NOT making it to the ground. By the time it does, we “should” be OK. We shall see.

  13. Sometimes, when its been really cold (as it has been lately) and then the temps moderate some, it doesnt even have to be raining for the surfaces to turn damp and perhaps, icy.

I’m sure this is some type of condensation.

Happens all the time in Marshfield, but thankfully, we moderate so quickly in these scenarios, its just damp, not icy. But, it will not have precipitated yet.

    1. Oh great …..

“the handoff to Blount, who turns and throws back to Brady”

Edelman wide open down field ….

“Brady fires deep down field to Edelman and ….. ”

      “Where’d the ball go ” ?????

      1. ROTFLMAO

Latest HRRR has strongest echoes in Foxboro between
7 PM and 10 PM. FIGURES.

ALso shows a big batch earlier around 3PM

Not sure what that is all about. WIll continue to monitor.

    2. Those are links normally posted during the summer time not winter time.
NWS out of Upton, NY was indicating in their discussion that eastern areas over their county warning area showalter values
      were at -2.

  14. You may luck out up there with the temperatures getting above freezing by the time the precipitation gets there.
With that said and was pointed out earlier ground surfaces are still cold and even though it may be above freezing could still have some icy spots with the onset of the precipitation

  15. This update included the freezing rain/drizzle but I feel I should have had that as a possibility on the forecast I issued yesterday. Details, details…

But of course… NOBODY had it. So it was just one of those situations.

Regardless, all of these areas will rise significantly above freezing later, lastly in the CT Valley of course. I have dealt with freezing rain covered highways in the past heading to my brother’s in central CT. I-84 at the time was cement slabs and in a hilly section and was coated, but the breakdown lane was regular pavement and driveable. Did not spin out, got over, and drove in the breakdown lane until the exit we were taking. Got there safely. Warmed up later that day so the return trip presented no problems other than wet roads.

  16. 32 in Bedford, 33 here in Woburn. Most of this area will escape freezing rain issues. There will also be a few mostly rain-free hours coming up as the temp continues to warm in eastern MA. Most of the rain in the Boston area is going to take place well after sunset and especially after 7PM.

  17. If this pattern keeps up there will probably be a lot of red flag warnings from mid March on till the leaves come out again. I enjoy reading all your comments I’m down here in RI in Warwick.

    1. Even if we do get a few decent snow events in February I’d expect it to go dry again in March and you are probably right on the money.

      Welcome!

  18. Up to 34.9 here. Now I think I can safely take care of my errands this morning.

    Be back later.

    Go PATS.

NO TURNOVERS PLEASE!! Although I do like Apple. 😀

  19. That is good news up there those temps are getting into the 40s in spots so it would be plain rain instead of the freezing rain that has been experienced in CT down to the Philly area.
Thankfully this was not during the weekday because as bad as its been it COULD been a lot worse and those temps are rising which is another good sign.

  20. Out in Dedham. Temp 43
Looking at radars down the coast. Impressive.
    Really strong echoes.
Imagine the mud bowl we’d have today
    With the old grass field.
Should be a great game If we can see through
    The rain.

  21. Retrac which highway were you traveling in CT I-395 I-95? There been numerous accidents across CT today.
I have lived here all my life and I – 95 between Bridgeport and Greenwich it was a stand still due to ice. I have seen a stand still on that highway with snow but not ice.

    1. I was in New London right at 395/95. Bad.

My wife is originally from Fairfield and she told me when I got home they shut down the Merrit? That road is freaking dangerous in perfect conditions in many areas.

  22. EDITORIAL…

It may very well be that the forecast that included icing was a little late, but I can tell you right now that though forecasters will get blamed for not having called it 2 days in advance, that will be completely the WRONG route to go. The blame lies in TWO places: 1) DPW. The warning did come out before the rain started and these crews are supposed to be on standby during the Winter months for anything short notice.
    2) The public. The VAST MAJORITY of people drive too fast for DRY conditions let alone wet let alone FURTHER ice!

Yes, experienced forecasters should see it coming a little sooner in this case, but we are not hand-holders. The tech is there to get warnings and advisories out quickly even when they are a little bit last-minute. People need to heed it. I’d be willing to bet that at least 75% of the people that spun out today along the I-95 corridor probably had a warning on their phone and ignored it, and saw it before they started driving.

    1. I agree with everything you just wrote. You know too, where there hasn’t been much of any snow this year, especially down there, there’s not much residual treatment on the roads like we have in some areas up here. They should have been a little more proactive. (DPW)

      1. I realize they are not magicians either, and most of them do a great job! But Winter in New England, cold ground, rain coming. They know what can happen even if it’s not being trumpeted loudly via media. If everyone works together, the results are best.

        1. Totally. And you what else I think played a part, and this is something to remember, is that there was no ice on the cars, just a wet windshield so mentally, people weren’t even thinking ice.

  23. My daughter started college this past week (Mt Holyoke)…she was accepted to start in January. We dropped her off on Thursday…seems like such a great school and a lovely campus. The great thing is she’ll be only about 10 miles away or so from her brother who is a junior at UMass Amherst. Anyway my wife drove back out there this morning to bring a few more things out (I’m home nursing a cold/sinus/tooth/gum infection..the left side of my face looks like a golf ball LOL). She’s on her way home now but has run into icy roads in the area. She’s taking it slow and most people are traveling around 5-10 mph.

      1. Thanks…I actually feel better today then the past few days but the golf ball on the side of my face is telling me to head over to the med center (where I work) in a little while. Need the Z Pack I think.
My wife just texted me..slow going but getting a little better.

  24. Retrac parts of the Merrit have been shut down. I saw a tweet pic on the news about half hour ago around New London of a multiple car pile up due to ice.

  25. Robert… Approved your first comment above. You should be able to post any time you want now unless you change your email or username and then I’ll have to re-approve. Glad you enjoy the blog. 🙂

  26. It goes to show it doesn’t take much ice to make things slippery. Saw a report from Norwalk, CT tenth of an inch of ice and you got that part of I – 95 earlier today at a stand still. The traffic last check is moving in that area now thankfully.

    1. All it takes is one batch of precip. and an hour or two before the temp goes up. And of course the atmosphere above doesn’t care what’s going on below. If it’s gonna rain, it’s gonna rain. I can picture it now… *Mid level says* “Gee, it’s not above freezing yet down there guys! Hold off on that rain, ok?!” Not happening.

        1. It should allow you to do that when you post. Let me know if it doesn’t work. I may be able to do it. We haven’t had anyone switch yet so I’m not sure… 🙂

  27. Looks like the steadier rain axis is already starting to tilt back to the west ever so slightly. That should make CT and central MA wet but leave the Boston area with just passing showers for the rest of the daylight hours. I’m going outside with my son from noon to 3 to remove all the Christmas lights from bushes, cords from ground, and other decorations (wreaths, garland, etc.) from the property. It should not take the full 3 hours but I’m allowing it. Music soundtrack: 3-cd set of “Music For the Local Forecast” by Trammell Starks, who has become a friend of mine. His music used to run exclusively on TWC’s WeatherScan channel and also was used for some of the Local Forecast segments on the regular Weather Channel. Since then they have changed to other stuff but still mix a few of his songs in occasionally. Who knows, maybe someday his music can be an option on this or a future version of the Woods Hill Weather web page. 😀

His music was an inspiration for some of the music my son has been writing, so the 2 of us will be out there listening to it this afternoon… and then it’ll be football time! 😀

    1. So you are one of those people with their Christmas stuff still up? Ha, been surprised as I drive home at night the amount of people who still have their full displays out and lit up.

      1. I don’t have anything lit still. We leave it on through January 5, then just the trees on January 6 (Epiphany or “Little Christmas”). But with 17 rooms in the house between this apartment and my mom’s downstairs it took 5 days to un-decorate the inside between January 7 and January 11. With no time to do it during the week, the option became doing the outside on the milder of the 2 weekend days this weekend, and that is today. Everything is disconnected. Just have to take it all down and we have a network of plastic bins set up in the garage to lay it all in to dry out when it is mild/dry enough in there. We have a re-packing project and garage cleaning scheduled for this year anyway so it’ll be finalized later. Just as long as it gets down and in there today is good enough. 🙂

        1. Sounds like you have a lot up! I keep outside minimal for that reason ha. Good luck! Was just out cleaning my driveway and it is nice out.

Did you hear what’s going on the farmland in my yard?

          1. Are you talking about the construction? I’ve seen that progressing as I go by there regularly.

            1. Hasn’t started yet where I am…but they are putting townhouses and houses back there. Too bad…the land is full of all sorts of wildlife and I will be losing my private yard to boot. I know there is construction further up Lexington street in Lexington before you get by Ace.

                1. Yeah…developers. Murray is the guy. He is the one building those 150 townhouses in Lexington up the street from me. Took him 15 years to get the permit and will take 10 years to complete. Imagine living with a decade of construction! Not sure when they are starting in my yard but there is going it be a street meeting soon. I might pack up and leave.

                2. Trust me, they leave plenty of trees and plenty of land for us, go out of the Boston metro area or west of 495, theres enough land out there for everyone against growth, and it doesn’t hurt the area, plenty of people want to live in the metro area or inside 495, let them live here 🙂

        2. We have just a bit left inside which is why we have not moved out also. I added fairie lights in some places this year so I can have some lights even with Christmas lights down

      2. Ours still up but all but bush and gutter lights will come down at some point this week. I always light bushes through winter. Grew up with that in ski areas and love to see it as long as possible, especially when it snows. I’m sorry more don’t use lights to light the night 🙂

        1. A lot of people in our area do the same thing with bushes and small trees. In fact we still have a small outside tree with lights on it.

      3. my family is, well for the outside stuff, all our indoor stuff been put away. We keep the big tree lit outside

    1. You’re all set. If you want to go back to John it SHOULD work, but we’ll see. WordPress is weird.

      1. Lol. Needed a change for the New Year. Can we fast forward the clock to 6:40 the suspense is killing me.

      2. I actually was going to add my name to it instead of kid but that has been retired with you. I liked your old name .

  28. Re: Christmas lights…

There was a house nearby that, like hours, decorated many bushes and had a few other outdoor things up. After Christmas they’d leave the display lit into early January then would remove the lights from 1 bush every few days for the remainder of the Winter, a process that would basically last through February, so Christmas did this ultra-slow fade-out in that yard.

I believe they moved or stopped decorating because I haven’t seen anything up the last couple years there.

  29. Vicki, I may have missed an update on the mole situation – Any luck getting rid of that nasty critter that wants to rent a room in your nice warm abode? Sure hope so!!!

  30. About to settle down for pre-game shows and then 2 football games. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m going to be in football withdrawal starting in 3 weeks … Maybe pitchers and catchers reporting will help. 🙂

    http://weather.unisys.com/satellite/sat_vis.php?image=ir&inv=0&t=l3&region=he

For a few to several weeks now, there has been moisture persistently lurking south of the Baja of California. Its pretty easy to see in the 3 hr loop above.

If I understand the pattern thats about to unfold, it may be more of a western ridge, eastern trof, with clippers coming over the ridge in western Canada, then dropping into the Great Lakes and towards the northeast.

Under that, in the deep south, will be the southern stream.

I dont think the atmosphere has really uncorked a monster storm in a while. Playing the law of averages, I propose that a big phasing of the northern and southern streams is coming within the next 4 to 6 weeks, added in with a little extra Pacific moisture seen lurking off south of Baja.

I have no idea rain or snow obviously, but I think the odds favor a large, major storm for the eastern US before meteorological spring arrives.

    1. It’s nice that tomorrow is a holiday. When the pats win I always like too switch over and watch patriots 5th quarter where they do live press conference. Anybody interested it’s on 38 I believe.

      1. I love the 5th quarter when they win, I usually watch that and listen to the sportshub interviews till midnight tonight.

    2. Same here tom, the sports season starts in Aug and if it’s a good sports year it ends in Feb, then football withdrawals till late July/Aug again 🙂

  31. Vicki: did some research and here is two ideas.

    1. Leave juicy fruit gum out as this will attract them. They can’t digest the gum so the mole will die.

    2. Moles are most active at night. If at all possible giving them a way to exit if you could was this idea. By leaving grubs or worms at an exit site the mole would grab these to eat and most likely take the food back to its tunnel.

    1. Thank you John. I did see the juicy fruit gum and I just picked up some. I think he is coming in and out and lives under deck which is adjacent to wall where he keeps appearing. I am very appreciative of your taking the time to look. Oddly we are seeing sam a lot during the day. We just missed him again. Of course half of us are standing up on furniture 😉

  32. Just checking water temps from Florida up to Atlantic Canada averaging about 3 to 5 degrees above normal except for near shore waters.

  33. We like seeing those temperatures. Thankfully it warmed up to above freezing up there before the precipitation came in.
A Mess is the only way I could describe the roadways in CT earlier today and unfortunately one of those accidents resulted in a fatality.

      1. Rain never felt so good to see after this morning. As I said earlier I was walking to my car to go to church. The freezing
rain started to come down hard and I went back in.

    1. On the EURO, way out there, so not taking it to heart …

But somewhere around day 8 or 9, there’s a decent low to our west, but, the 850mb temps hang in there initially.

My first thought was ….. Front end dump.

      Of course, it WILL change.

  34. just a reminder, for the patriots game, remember this little statistic. Andrew luck and the colts are 12-0 in rematch games that they lost the first time…. Greenbay are 2-18 when underdogs of more than 4 points

  35. Seattle and Foxboro will have almost identical weather conditions at their respective gametimes. That’s just silly.

    1. The whole set up is strange, I think …..

To see a tropical wall of water on the east coast, in the heart of winter, seems out of place …… The western fringe isnt frozen precip, its just a string of tropical torrents ……

So, yeah, maybe that is where the true, winterlike cold front actually sits.

    1. It feels great !

Saving a bit of money today, as the heat is not turning on for the first time in a long time.

  36. Anybody ever heard of air hockey- seasonal speciality stores in foxboro or natick. Thinking about buying an air hockey table from them for my sons birthday in April. I’ve had this idea for awhile. I want to get a realy good one because this is something he won’t outgrow.

    1. Ever heard of it..Played it during the 70s, 80s, 90s,…you get the picture. A great game and a lot of fun. Like you said get a good one.

      1. That’s the thing a good one. It’s expensive but it’s rock solid selling for just over $900 with $165 delivery/ setup. I can save that by April . Expensive for a birthday gift but I actually wanted to do it for this Xmas but the money was not there on top of everything else and need to get rid of the desk where it’s going. But for spending that its an awesome New Brunswick 7′ table with aluminum rails that will last and he won’t outgrow it is another key.

          1. Yea I know and this place has those as well. I think this price is good for something that we can use for years to come. Even when company is here they can go down and play. May go look at it next Saturday. Hope you feel better. Im a tad under myself. 52 here now.

            1. Great idea. Love air hockey. Can u pick up and save $$ or is setup what you want too? Sometimes it is better when experts set up something that expensive

              1. Sure I have a truck. I don’t like putting things together Vicki so $165 for delivery and install is so worth it to me. My wife and I were putting some stuff togeather on new years eve and ended in a fight lol.

              2. It is expensive but it should last years and if we take care of it Joe will have it for his family. This is something I’ve been thinking about for at least a couple of years and I think now I’m ready to make it happen.

  37. Dare I?

    NFL Predictions for today…

    Green Bay 23
    Seattle 17

    New England 31
    Indianapolis 17

    1. Tk and I swear this is true. I’ve said all week there is going to be a big upset with one of these games. I feel the pats won’t let this one slip and I think they win. I think the game will pose some problems but pats win. For the upset I have been saying GB wins against Seattle. Most have seatle taking it all and I believe most think seatle wins easily over GB.

  38. Couple of quick pre-game thoughts-

    1) TK – You and I were at the same Bruins Game Thursday. Wish I had known before!

    2) Agree on DPW responsibility based on forcecasts. Modern day road anti ice products are very effective when roads are pre-treated when temps are in the 20s.

    3) I had been on the late envelope of pattern change around the 28th-30th. Now going with an even later transition on about February 1st.

    1. What’s your thinking on a snowy February JMA. And do you agree with Tk that winter departs early for a seasonable March. I believe this was his forcast. I’m thinking if the patern does shift in February for a snowier one I would think it would go right through March as in arrives late and leaves late.

    2. 1) It was a great game to be at!
      2) Indeed! I still would have liked to catch that ice threat a little earlier myself.
      3) Can’t argue with that right now. Does look like a decent cold shot possible before January ends though. We’ll see how decent…

      1. I think it gets very cold late January. I was more alluding to a warmer / stormier pattern after that cold shot.

SSW-My current thinking is stormy ~15 day period in early-mid February is our best shot at significant snow accumulations.

Yes March could be seasonable with potential periods of above average warmth.

Fair Warning-I am not a very accomplished seasonal forecaster. TK is far better at it than me.

    1. The icing issue was this morning and mainly far interior valley areas. It was forecast to warm up after that.

        1. Wow. Borderline. I saw CT was really bad this am as JJ said. Were there a lot of problems in your area?

      1. 45.9 here and looks to be still raining. Would look out window but am limiting time my feet are on ground near Sam

    1. When the pats played GB it was a great game. If there is such thing as a good loss it was a good loss for pats. Lots of folks thought than you were looking at the Super Bowl matchup. GB is all over seatle with mistakes up 16-0. If the pats can pull it off they would match up better with GB in my opinion.

  39. Starting to formulate thoughts for The Week Ahead post…

I think I’m going to remove any snow threat from Wednesday but I’m still hesitant about Thursday for the South Coast with low pressure to the SE. Also, a high to the N may still tilt the winds to NE and make it cloudy. 4 days away so, you know how it goes.

So after our current wet system it gets chilly/mainly dry for the week upcoming. May see a weekend system bring some snow showers. I’d favor Sunday over Saturday at this early stage. That may set up a very cold final week of January.

And though I would not completely rule out snow threats, they are looking like small or non events for the end of January with drier weather being the rule. That will eliminate the first of the 6 week period of potentially higher storm threats, leaving us with 5. Wonder if any more will fall by the wayside going forward…

  40. Front edge of the rain has backed all the way out to Springfield. When this thing goes negative tilt it’s gonna whip that tail of heavy rain right through southeastern New England. Question is still the timing. Not out of the question the heaviest axis comes late in the game or even just after it, depending on game’s pace/length.

  41. Drove through CT this morning on the way to in laws in the Bronx. Large temp swings all the way down. Low 30s one minute, mid 40s just a few miles later. At least 5 or 6 big swings like that, was fascinating to see. Luckily we missed any ice, just rain. Have to drive back through the heavy rain later, maybe after halftime..

  42. TK, any reasonable chance at all something interesting happens with the Wednesday/Thursday system? The 18z NAM and to some extent the GFS give a little hope. I’ve noticed the 6z and 18z runs have been particularly bad lately. Still, it seems like just a slight northward shift and a slightly earlier redevelopment could lead to us getting a few inches, particularly south of the Pike.

  43. Although Seattle just scored I think GB takes this game as they are dominating Seattle big time. It’s early and I could be completely wrong.

  44. Answer to Today’s AccuWeather Trivia Quiz.

How much snow fell on this date in 1893?
    A. 13.7”
    B. 15.7”
    C. 17.7”
    D. 19.7”

    The answer is A.

    1. They can contact fans of the Red Sox in 1986 for tips.
And the Packers can contact members of the ’86 Sox team. 😉

  45. Bad outcome for the Patriots, IF they make it past the Colts. There is no way Seattle plays nearly as poorly as they did today. They were really bad until GB gave them the game late in the 4th quarter.

Choke does NOT describe GB’s awful performance late in this game. GB dominated until late in the 4th. Wilson looked truly awful. It seemed the only player who came to play was Lynch. Then one bad play after another ruined GB. First Clinton-Dix drop of what would have been another interception. He should have caught that ball. It may well have been a pick 6. Clinton-Dix made a fool of himself again on the hail mary pass that Wilson threw to get the 2 point conversion. And of course the onside kick. Seattle didn’t do anything special late in the game. The onside kick wasn’t terrifically executed. It was botched by GB. The 2 point conversion was literally a prayer pass. Again botched by GB. Wilson may have thrown another interception when Kearse clearly committed offensive pass interference. It was just an unbelievable choke on the part of GB.

    1. Their offense not so good and our worst receiver is better than their best. Whoever won would be a challenge but that is as it should be

    2. Richard Sherman’s left arm may be broken. Whether its Luck or Brady with 2 weeks of preparation know that, that is definitely a small hit to Seattle’s D.

    3. The Pats don’t care about the outcome of that game. They only care about the outcome of their own game. 🙂

Only fans worry about teams on paper. Pats worry about teams on field. 😀

  46. Line squall gets to the stadium after 8:30PM. Will try to narrow down the time as it gets closer.

  47. An acknowledge problem with refs is the PI discrepancies. If that were browner it would have been a penalty

  48. Second half will be very wet. That wall of water is pivoting in. Embedded thunderstorms and strong winds. I wish the Pats were up by more, its gonna be a sloppy rest of the game.

  49. Blount is awesome. I felt like puking listing to some of the Seahawks . Nobody believed in us, say what dude the world is picking you guys. Looked like the roads had the best of him with his ugly veins popping out of his head.

  50. Going to be a long night watching all the press conferences. Going to be a great 5th quarter tonight. I want to see the pats score into the 60s

  51. Ninkovitch was a freaking animal tonight in the early and key part of this game. He’s just fast and athletic enough I think to be able to shadow Wilson. And Jamie Collins, that guy is the real deal.
