    The map I posted previously, was indeed RAIN.
    I was merely pointing out that it was awfully close to being Snow, therefore,
    at 8 days out, who knows what could happen. Even as depicted it was cold above,
    so snow couldn’t be ruled out.

        1. They have small boats oldsalty that take you across the river to some of the parks, it’s cool.

    2. I’m a complete Disney World fanatic. I should have told you about http://www.mousesavers.com. For anyone planning a Disney trip, check it out. Huge discounts. We love the Poly but we recently stayed at the Contemporary Resort MK view and it was beautiful. They refurbished the rooms and they did a very nice job! Enjoy your stay TK. I been doing a lot of overtime lately, if anyone is interested my brother chris is going to st louis for the world championships of robotics. teams from Japan, south korea, Brazil, Germany, Italy, israel and some other small nations from europe.   11. In addition to some upper level energy coming through later today, there is currently some convergence this morning in the northeastern part of the area.

    Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME have light NE winds, while southwest of that, there are light W and NW winds.

    I wouldnt be surprised by a decent thunderstorm somewhere in SE NH, SW ME or northeasternmost Mass later this afternoon, closer to the dynamics, especially if this surface boundary continues.

      1. Agreed, though I do give a 5% chance that maybe Gloucester, Beverly, somewhere up there might sneak into a shower/storm. 🙂

    1. Should be an interesting temperature day at Logan.

      Mild start, maybe a cool middle, perhaps with a quick temp jump late afternoon or early evening with a wind shift to W or NW.

  23. Beautiful up here in Plymouth, NH, we’ve dodged the showers so far but I don’t think it’ll last. Enjoying it, because I think nice weather is going to be tough to find for the rest of the month. Cut off lows, temps in the 30s and 40s, overcast, rain and snow showers, east winds… All the things OS loves 😀

    Brief wind gusts to 30, perhaps higher.

    It was cool to begin with and got really cold now.

  45. This is the first day I walked out of myself and declared, “WOW…it is HOT outside!” Even thought it was only approx 70 degrees. It was really nice out though. Played mini golf with some friends. Weird here without TK! Not liking it!

  49. Good morning!! Nice mid April morning, temps should reach around 60 degrees, a very typical mid April day, pool is open, it’s 54 degrees, that’s 2 degrees warmer than last year at this time. Could the water be 60 degrees before May, we shall see 🙂 enjoy the day folks, draft is only 12 days!!! 🙂

  54. Tad chilly out there. Was fishing all morning. Was actually comfortable with a
    sweatshirt on. Managed 16 fish, but the trout I wanted remained elusive.

    Water still very cold. Most areas fish just weren’t interested Could only catch them
    In front of Damns in the rough water. Move down stream and nothing. Stay close to
    the damn and many fish to be had. Weird, but I’ve seen it before.

    It’s only 52 here. Sox will freeze yet again!

    1. Porcello will a very good to excellent pitcher. BLT has some very good hitters. Can’t expect perfection every time out.

      1. I wouldn’t go that far. We shall see just how good he is.
        3 outings now, and nothing special at all. Typical 3,4,5 starter
        results.

        So far, I ain’t impressed. The only one in the group that has showed me something is Joe Kelley of all people.

Im not here to tell anyone that if you don’t watch the football draft your not a football fan, all I’m saying is that hockey and baseball and basketball are becoming more and more localized, and football nfl or the Patriots in this instance will dominate the TV ratings day 1-3, and the ratings r not close. When it’s all set and done take a look at the ratings for yourself. Like I said, espn has said many times, the Patriots have been the most polarizing team really in the world. Everyone has to watch. 🙂 enjoy your day whw folks 🙂

    2. What are you going to do when the Pats become mediocre again? That will happen when Brady retires.

      1. At that point, they will be an 8-8 team for many many years to come. Tom Brady won’t be walking back through that door once he retires.

Lol hadi, have Patriot memorbelia since 1985, not like many older fans that have only been fans since 01, but don’t kid yourself, most of the younger generation are all football fans, eventually I’m sure it will change again well down the road, but right now the NFL is king, and it’s not close 🙂

  62. Charlie the NFL will always be king, I was eluding to what’s going to happen to most pats fans when Brady retires. You have had it good for a long time but once he’s gone the franchise will return to being average.

I think your kidding yourself, the prove is in the pudding, baseball has taken a back seat, along with the 2 other sports, and when Mini camp starts, watch how it takes over most sports radio stations and especially ESPN. Maybe in your family where you’ve forced them to be Redskins fans (I’m sorry) and forced them to follow baseball, that’s great, but it doesn’t deny what already happened here. The only true baseball town is st Lois, during there Super Bowl run, the cards still had the highest TV ratings, it’s changed hadi, maybe in that very enclosed area of Jp and Fenway you see more Red Sox, but overall it’s changed, and the culture has changed. 🙂

    Every time this time of year comes along, anyone outside of mass and America always say why do we have that, sept 11th is Patriots day in America, and how did this happen?

    1. Without Patriot’s Day (not to be confused with Patriot Day on 9/11), to celebrate the battles of Lexington and Concord and the sacrifices our forefathers made to ensure the freedom of America, the rest of the country would not even exist. Patriot’s Day is also celebrated in Maine.

      1. Nicely said, Ace. It was that shot heard round the world that started the movement that gave us what we have. I have no respect for anyone who does not understand that. I suspect folks from every corner of this country understand what our PATRIOTS a gave us.

  77. I just talked to my sister in law. She is in southern atlanta. She said they are asking kids not to get on school buses in areas where tornadic activity is likely. Sun is out where she is.

  78. That is self destructive sunshine that will add to the instability that is already in place down there.
    I remember when I was in grade school we ended up going down to the basement since they thought a tornado was coming and my mom along with the other parents had to pick us up from the school.

  79. I remember the tornado that came through my area July 10, 1989 when I was five years old and it is scary whether your a kid or an adult. Thankfully only the tree in the front yard came down and no damage to the house. I will never forget that day as the storm came down from northwest CT into my area around 5pm which was an F 1 tornado with the stronger tornado an F 4 which today with the new fujita scale would have been an F5 came through Hamden around 5:30pm.

      1. That tornado you were referring to was in October 1979. A week after that F 4 tornado hit there was accumulating
        snow.
        The one I lived through was part of a much larger outbreak that became known as the Northeastern Tornado Outbreak
        Tornadoes touched down in NY, MA, CT, and NJ on that day.

        1. The radar has looked great south and west of us all day.

          It just keeps falling apart as it nears us.

      I have a feeling 80 games into the season, he might be the righty in the bullpen used to get a tough right handed batter out sometime in the 6th or 7th inning.

      I think he may have value in that role.

    2. I applied Solucal (lime) this weekend and fertilizer. My PH last year was 4 and have applied this for 5 months starting last year. I am hoping this rain starts to green up the sod I installed last year.

      1. That first storm just had a heavy downpour when it finally arrived. Second one on its way through shortly.

  93. OS I somehow couldn’t get an internet connection to watch the radar last night. Gotta love Verizon wireless …..ugh. It s0unded as if they dissipated fairly quickly once east of here but not sure of that. Some of the longest rolling thunder I think I have ever heard.

    1. Was very intense down on the south shore as well. I was a little nervous driving in it.

      1. The thunder didn’t wake me up but the alert on my phone telling me that there was lightning in my area did. 🙂

          1. It is an option on the CBS Boston Weather app. It even tells you how close the lightning is from your location. Pretty cool.

  94. I heard the Thunder last night. I woke up but very briefly. Nothing so intense but enough to shake the house a little from a couple claps.

    1. The lightning was the big thing as the entire truck was lighting up. I left the house around 4:50.
