Vicki,
The map I posted previously, was indeed RAIN.
I was merely pointing out that it was awfully close to being Snow, therefore,
at 8 days out, who knows what could happen. Even as depicted it was cold above,
so snow couldn’t be ruled out.
Got it. Thanks OS
Thanks TK. You should be enjoying yourself. Not to worry about us.
I was waiting for a boat. 🙂
A boat? At Disney World?
huh?
Going on a cruise?
😀
They have small boats oldsalty that take you across the river to some of the parks, it’s cool.
Hi TK. Thank you. Please say hi to piglet and roo for me.
Oink oink oink.
🙂 but you didn’t do baby roo
Bounce Bounce 😀
This boat was a short transport at Epcot. Many boats here in DW!
I can walk to Epcot tk from my resort. I enjoy the boats .
I’m a complete Disney World fanatic. I should have told you about http://www.mousesavers.com. For anyone planning a Disney trip, check it out. Huge discounts. We love the Poly but we recently stayed at the Contemporary Resort MK view and it was beautiful. They refurbished the rooms and they did a very nice job! Enjoy your stay TK. Enjoy the warmth and the magic of Disney!
Thanks TK!
Thanks Tk 🙂 beautiful night 53.1 degrees 🙂
have been busy between school work and work…. I been doing a lot of overtime lately, if anyone is interested my brother chris is going to st louis for the world championships of robotics. teams from Japan, south korea, Brazil, Germany, Italy, israel and some other small nations from europe. Good morning.
Mobile In Quincy. Can feel the seabreeze
Kicking in already. Today will be a matter
Of location!
LOW 70’s inland to upper 40’s/lower 50’s
Near the coast.
For now it is nice here. About 57.
Warmer by 7 degrees than here.
Good morning!
Check back later….:D
Oh I know that 🙂
I need to check more closely when not mobile,
Crap the gfs wants to park a facuckta cut off
Low on us for about a week towards month’s
End. BRUTAL!!!!
In addition to some upper level energy coming through later today, there is currently some convergence this morning in the northeastern part of the area.
Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME have light NE winds, while southwest of that, there are light W and NW winds.
I wouldnt be surprised by a decent thunderstorm somewhere in SE NH, SW ME or northeasternmost Mass later this afternoon, closer to the dynamics, especially if this surface boundary continues.
That’s where the action will be if anywhere.
Nothing around here for sure.
Agreed, though I do give a 5% chance that maybe Gloucester, Beverly, somewhere up there might sneak into a shower/storm. 🙂
Thank you Tom. Pete alluded to that yesterday. I was quite disappointed we are not in the area
🙂 🙂
9am boston 59 degrees. Wind nw at 6 mph.
I guess I did not feel sea breeze after all.
Not yet anyway.
I feel it is coming.
Should be an interesting temperature day at Logan.
Mild start, maybe a cool middle, perhaps with a quick temp jump late afternoon or early evening with a wind shift to W or NW.
Eric mentioned that last night.
I could see logan at 48 degrees
For awhile this PM.
Seriously….either my thermometer was stuck or we just jumped 9 degrees
It jumped
Huge and amazingly fast OS
I’m here in Quincy having work done on my car.
Was just standing in the lot checking nearby flags
And wind vanes. Wind here is out of the East and
NORTEAST. Still mild as I am a few miles in from
The shore. But it’s coming.

Drive a few miles East and see what you get.
It’s getting DISGUSTING here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nah. I’m staying put 😀
It is 71 here. 12 degrees warmer here than Moraga CA which is just east of San francisco
Beautiful up here in Plymouth, NH, we’ve dodged the showers so far but I don’t think it’ll last. Enjoying it, because I think nice weather is going to be tough to find for the rest of the month. Cut off lows, temps in the 30s and 40s, overcast, rain and snow showers, east winds… All the things OS loves 😀
Trivia #1 = A
Trivia #2 = B

All the stuff dissipated down here and even though it’s well into the 80s we have a nice breeze now.

Coolish breeze all the way here with temp down to 63.
Temp way down to 61. Clouds slowly dissipating. Still quite by comparison with what’s to come over the next two weeks. It was great while it lasted. Still one more day to enjoy.
Snow 😉

Reasoning tells me if you are still here arod….and I’m not complaining….snow must still be possible. No ??
That’s too bad. I liked him too.
He’s out now!
What an awesome day out here. I got a sunburn and I don’ care!

Should go tomorrow.
Nice. We lost our last pile yesterday.
Thanks Tk 🙂
Beautiful day!! Reached 75.3 degrees, currently 70.4 degrees, sorry to the folks that have to deal with that crappy sea breeze 🙂

Lol 🙂
Boooooo….hiss…….
You keep that to yourself OS!
Kids were in Scituate and marshfield today. Said on beach needed jackets but then it’s april. But at marshfrield playground temp was perfect.
Thats right down the street from me ….. 1/2 mile away. 🙂
It was a beautiful day !
It is a great area. I know Sue and family go there also.
It sure was a beautiful day
Very interesting happenings …..
2 seperate wind surges from the north-northeast, accompanied by thin lines of rolling stratus.
Brief wind gusts to 30, perhaps higher.
It was cool to begin with and got really cold now.
A third wave moving through now.
Tom, the temp here dropped 12 degrees in 20 minutes 64 to 52.
Oh and very windy.
Pretty neat !
Didnt know that was coming.
I was inside watching the Sox and my wife called me outside and I was like, oh wow !!
I did the same while talking out the trash. 49 here now.
Or taking out. 🙂
This is the first day I walked out of myself and declared, “WOW…it is HOT outside!” Even thought it was only approx 70 degrees. It was really nice out though. Played mini golf with some friends. Weird here without TK! Not liking it!
Wow, that sounded rather philosophical. What I MEANT to say was … walked out of my HOUSE. Not myself 😉
Emily I think stepping outside oneself is important to do periodically. Revitalizes 😉
Nothing like stepping outside yourself, right Em? 😉
Sounds like you’re having a wonderful time in FL, TK!
Happy Birthday JJ! Hope you had a great day!
Yes. Great time. 🙂
Good morning!! Nice mid April morning, temps should reach around 60 degrees, a very typical mid April day, pool is open, it’s 54 degrees, that’s 2 degrees warmer than last year at this time. Could the water be 60 degrees before May, we shall see 🙂 enjoy the day folks, draft is only 12 days!!! 🙂
Beautiful April morning!! Love mornings like this. Cool air but the sunshine is terrific.
Draft is like watching grass grow! Ugh
Just about as fun as watching paint dry! 🙂
I love football as much anyone in the world but I could care less about draft watching. I am interested in the who the skins pick and that’s it.
But guys, didn’t u know? You’re not REAL football fans if u don’t want watch the draft 😛
And you’re not a REAL weather fan if you don’t remain glued to woodshill all year long also 🙂
Lol
Huh? I would think a weather fan would be outside enjoying or at least watchjng from a great vantage point.
Um, you missed the sarcasm there.
Um. Perhaps. Bad delivery 😉
Or perhaps still fuzzy from lack of food for a week 😉
huh?
Tad chilly out there. Was fishing all morning. Was actually comfortable with a
sweatshirt on. Managed 16 fish, but the trout I wanted remained elusive.
Water still very cold. Most areas fish just weren’t interested Could only catch them
In front of Damns in the rough water. Move down stream and nothing. Stay close to
the damn and many fish to be had. Weird, but I’ve seen it before.
It’s only 52 here. Sox will freeze yet again!
Damn on Charles at S. Natick
http://i.imgur.com/8NwsSHM.jpg
Circled where fish caught.
http://i.imgur.com/bCcMGGR.png
Nice OS. Been there many times. We have friends who live right down the street. What are you catching?
Sun fish
Yellow Perch
White Perch
Black Crappy
LargeMouth Bass
The bass was the biggest surprise of all.
Though I had me my trout for certain. 😆
Sighhhhh. I do miss fishing. And very cool re the bass. Glad you are able to get out. Saw some folks fishing ałong Pelham island road yesterday and thought of you
Thanks Vicki.
The time went fast.
Wish I had more time at S. Natick as that
was my last and throw in stop having not done well at 5 of the previous 6 spots.
Not bad for a throw in
I’m jealous.
I’m a bass fisherman though so it’ll be a while yet for me.
I enjoyed bass also but trout in NH streams and salmon in the lakes around rangeley ME. Been too many years.
Adam Jones clocked on off of Porcello! Well, that didn’t take long.
Do we have anyone who can PITCH?????????????????????????????
Porcello will a very good to excellent pitcher. BLT has some very good hitters. Can’t expect perfection every time out.
I wouldn’t go that far. We shall see just how good he is.
3 outings now, and nothing special at all. Typical 3,4,5 starter
results.
So far, I ain’t impressed. The only one in the group that has showed me something is Joe Kelley of all people.
Im not here to tell anyone that if you don’t watch the football draft your not a football fan, all I’m saying is that hockey and baseball and basketball are becoming more and more localized, and football nfl or the Patriots in this instance will dominate the TV ratings day 1-3, and the ratings r not close. When it’s all set and done take a look at the ratings for yourself. Like I said, espn has said many times, the Patriots have been the most polarizing team really in the world. Everyone has to watch. 🙂 enjoy your day whw folks 🙂
http://www.sportsgrid.com/nfl/the-nfl-draft-crushed-the-nba-and-nhl-playoffs-in-the-ratings/
The point is it has changed dramatically in the last 20 yrs
What are you going to do when the Pats become mediocre again? That will happen when Brady retires.
At that point, they will be an 8-8 team for many many years to come. Tom Brady won’t be walking back through that door once he retires.
That is the beauty of enjoying the game just because it is my team.
Lol hadi, have Patriot memorbelia since 1985, not like many older fans that have only been fans since 01, but don’t kid yourself, most of the younger generation are all football fans, eventually I’m sure it will change again well down the road, but right now the NFL is king, and it’s not close 🙂
This about sums up my thoughts on Red Sox starting pitching….
Dan Shaughnessy retweeted
Michael Berger @MichaelSBerger 27m27 minutes ago
Red Sox starters’ ERA is now 6.24 this season, worst in MLB.
Here’s part of the problem

Just found out that our boy Porcello gave up a nice and tidy
8 RUNS TODAY!!!!!!
Way to go!!! Just what we needed.
It’s going to be a tough day for runners and wheelchairs tomorrow, especially when they encounter the city’s oil slick roads! A wind swept soaking rain is expected, along with the possibility of a few thunderstorms at night. A coastal flood advisory is up for evening’s high tide from possible splash-over. Nasty conditions for sure!!!
Agreed!!
Anyone watching ESPN 2 about the Bombings narrated by Tom Brady?
Partly cloudy, little cool 50.2 degrees 🙂
Charlie the NFL will always be king, I was eluding to what’s going to happen to most pats fans when Brady retires. You have had it good for a long time but once he’s gone the franchise will return to being average.
I think your kidding yourself, the prove is in the pudding, baseball has taken a back seat, along with the 2 other sports, and when Mini camp starts, watch how it takes over most sports radio stations and especially ESPN. Maybe in your family where you’ve forced them to be Redskins fans (I’m sorry) and forced them to follow baseball, that’s great, but it doesn’t deny what already happened here. The only true baseball town is st Lois, during there Super Bowl run, the cards still had the highest TV ratings, it’s changed hadi, maybe in that very enclosed area of Jp and Fenway you see more Red Sox, but overall it’s changed, and the culture has changed. 🙂
Huh? I am saying the same thing as you are. All I am saying is what are you going to do when the Pats are an average team? I actually agree with you in this one.
Btw I don’t force anyone in the family to be fans of anything. It’s not how I operate. Kids are free to cheer on whom they want.
OS. We are still catching up to last weeks jeopardy but one of the answers on the one we are watching was Watershed. 🙂
That’s funny. You got that one correct I presume. 😀
Vicki…I saw your post above about the Marshfield playground and we were there yesterday as well. 🙂
Good morning!! Few sprinkles cool, happy Patriots day!!!
Patriots day is another ???
Every time this time of year comes along, anyone outside of mass and America always say why do we have that, sept 11th is Patriots day in America, and how did this happen?
Without Patriot’s Day (not to be confused with Patriot Day on 9/11), to celebrate the battles of Lexington and Concord and the sacrifices our forefathers made to ensure the freedom of America, the rest of the country would not even exist. Patriot’s Day is also celebrated in Maine.
Nicely said, Ace. It was that shot heard round the world that started the movement that gave us what we have. I have no respect for anyone who does not understand that. I suspect folks from every corner of this country understand what our PATRIOTS a gave us.
Charlie, your a disrespectful A-Hole!
Going to get really wet around here soon.

Raw East winds for us.
Currently sitting at 44.8
Not sure this will be ideal for the runners today. A bit too cool and likely way too wet,
even for the fastest runners.
The wind along the SW CT coastline and on Long Island is also note-worthy.
Gusts around 30 mph, with a couple obs nearing 40 mph.
Here are your ERAs for 4/5 of the starting rotation for the Sox:

Porcello, R 6.63

It tells me the Sox are in a LOAD of TROUBLE.

Thankfully the air here is stable and we don’t have to worry about severe weather.
I just talked to my sister in law. She is in southern atlanta. She said they are asking kids not to get on school buses in areas where tornadic activity is likely. Sun is out where she is.
That is self destructive sunshine that will add to the instability that is already in place down there.
I remember when I was in grade school we ended up going down to the basement since they thought a tornado was coming and my mom along with the other parents had to pick us up from the school.
I told her the same about the sunshine, JJ. Must be very scary for kids in school
Quite a line of storms east of buffalo also
I remember the tornado that came through my area July 10, 1989 when I was five years old and it is scary whether your a kid or an adult. Thankfully only the tree in the front yard came down and no damage to the house. I will never forget that day as the storm came down from northwest CT into my area around 5pm which was an F 1 tornado with the stronger tornado an F 4 which today with the new fujita scale would have been an F5 came through Hamden around 5:30pm.
Was that the one that started in Suffield?
That tornado you were referring to was in October 1979. A week after that F 4 tornado hit there was accumulating
snow.
The one I lived through was part of a much larger outbreak that became known as the Northeastern Tornado Outbreak
Tornadoes touched down in NY, MA, CT, and NJ on that day.
I vaguely remember those. Thanks JJ
Charlie have no class. Why even bother living here.
“you”
If we are going to get remotely close to 1″ of rain, its going to have to pick up soon.
I’m pretty sure we are somewhere btwn .05 and .1 and I’d guess closer to .05
And then there’s Providence, RI at .55 already, wow.
That has not been the case here.
Areas of Ct received over an inch.
The radar has looked great south and west of us all day.
It just keeps falling apart as it nears us.
Perhaps we will have rains developing over us later.
We need some, running 2.5″ below average.
I’d day it’s not going to happen.
I agree.
https://twitter.com/SurfSkiWxMan/status/590259666023751680
Some briefly heavier rain here snd there.
Nothing to write home about.
Masterson was better today as Sox
Won 7-1.
That’s the good news. Bad news…
His fast ball topped out at upper. 80s.
He got away with one.
Agreed.
That slider to right handed batters was nasty.
I have a feeling 80 games into the season, he might be the righty in the bullpen used to get a tough right handed batter out sometime in the 6th or 7th inning.
I think he may have value in that role.
I agree. He’s destined for the bullpen to be
Replaced by acquired ace or kid from pawtucket.
Brutal weather for hitting the ball too.
Heavy showers have arrived.
After tomorrow ……..
While it wont be sunny and 60F, it could be worse.
I’ll take a cutoff low to the north anytime, over one to our south.
55 here with .90 of rain so far.
Wow. Twice as much as we have at .5. 48 here.
It was pouring so hard on my way down 95 from Canton. Bet you quite a bit of that .90 was more recent.
It must be here now as it is a downpour. Glad you didn’t have any problems getting home
Coming down pretty good here. Grass is happy that I fertilized and re-seeded on Saturday.
Oh good. Now that you have yours done, would you please come do ours 🙂
I applied Solucal (lime) this weekend and fertilizer. My PH last year was 4 and have applied this for 5 months starting last year. I am hoping this rain starts to green up the sod I installed last year.
Thunder. Cool 🙂
Real cool. Woke me up!
That first storm just had a heavy downpour when it finally arrived. Second one on its way through shortly.
Vivid lightning
Same here.
Guess it woke us all up. 🙂
Those thunderstorms last night were SWEET.
Looks like we’re heading back into heating season. 🙁
Coastal not nearly as technical in grass stuff. I followed the instructions I was told so let’s see what happens 🙂
🙂
Thunderstorms? What thunderstorms???? Must have been WIMPY in Boston
or non-existent as it NEVER woke me up. 😀 😀 A good one would have awakened me
for sure. Hadi, did you hear thunder? Curious.
OS I somehow couldn’t get an internet connection to watch the radar last night. Gotta love Verizon wireless …..ugh. It s0unded as if they dissipated fairly quickly once east of here but not sure of that. Some of the longest rolling thunder I think I have ever heard.
Was very intense down on the south shore as well. I was a little nervous driving in it.
The thunder didn’t wake me up but the alert on my phone telling me that there was lightning in my area did. 🙂
Hmmmm – go figure. At least you didn’t miss it 🙂
What do you have for an alert? I like that option.
It is an option on the CBS Boston Weather app. It even tells you how close the lightning is from your location. Pretty cool.
Thanks, Sue. Will check it out.
I heard the Thunder last night. I woke up but very briefly. Nothing so intense but enough to shake the house a little from a couple claps.
The lightning was the big thing as the entire truck was lighting up. I left the house around 4:50.
Pouring rain as well but by the time I got to hingham on rt 3 it was winding down .
Lightening was intense here also but thunder was a bit eerie and very fun
Tossed in one more update from the gate at MCO.
