DAYS 1-5 (SEPTEMBER 6-10)…
In the middle day of the 3-day Labor Day Weekend with not a lot of changes to the outlook going forward. High pressure dominates the next 4 days as it sinks to the south and allows the heat to build across southern New England, with a gradual increase in humidity as well. A cold front approaches on Thursday when showers and thunderstorms will be possible.
TODAY: Sunny. Highs in the 80s except 75-80 South Coast. Wind light S.
TONIGHT: Clear. Lows in the 60s. Wind light SW.
MONDAY – LABOR DAY: Sunny. Highs 80-85 South Coast, 86-91 elsewhere. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 63-72. Highs 85-95, coolest South Coast.
THURSDAY: Variably cloudy. Chance of showers/thunderstorms. Lows 65-73. Highs in the 80s.
DAYS 6-10 (SEPTEMBER 11-15)…
Showers/thunderstorms the first half of September 11 followed by drying which then lasts through the weekend of September 12-13 and the early week of September 14-15. Temperatures above normal.
DAYS 11-15 (SEPTEMBER 16-20)…
Very warm with fair weather early period, showers mid period, fair and slightly cooler late period.
Thanks TK.
Thank you TK. What a glorious weekend
Thanks tk π
Went to the Newport vineyards, staying in Newport, wonderful weather temps have been in the 75-80 degree range, looks to be the same today. π
Thanks.

B. and B.
A
D
B and D. One of them doesn’t have the choice I thought it should …but then my memory may not have the right choice either π
I’m certain of one and taking a decent guess at the other.
We shall see. π
Me too…..I think π
B for 1st
Before I answer the 2nd question, is the water moving?
I’d assume Carried away implies moving. Hard for something to carry away without doing so.
D for 2nd question
Thanks TK!
Thanks for the update TK.
Starting out rather cool and refreshing this morning, but I guess that
won’t last. π 69 here a few minutes ago.
I think it’s remarkable that all 4 Patriots preseason games were the top 4 most watched in the Boston/Providence market since the academy awards and Patriots Super Bowl last Feb. in other words the Patriots are dominating the New England televisions. π
Can’t wait for Thursday night. Awesome!
Me either. I’m planning the menu already as well. Although doesn’t seem possible football is starting again. Time flies.
I was watching the inside of my eyelids, very exclusive viewership, pay per view π
Me too
72 with 61 DP.
Up to 79
Just painted one of our decks. I was dripping with perspiration.
Very surprised to see dp only at 58. Must have been the Sun. π
But the sun isn’t strong this time of year π
Yes, I said that. Silly me.
Lol I guess it’s all on opinion, same power as late March early April, if you consider that strong. π
If u can get a good sunburn, it’s strong
Lol yeah if you lay out for 5hrs π
87 with a 55 DP. Can it get any better for a Labor Day weekend?
84 here.
Sun out very brightly.
I was going to go fishing again, but sun is just too bright. Perhaps later? Nah,
probably not. I ordered a new rod and reel for the Mrs. A lady rig even.
I think we’ll try next weekend. I had to hastily repair her rig yesterday.
It got trashed down in Lakeville earlier in the week. She uses a spin-cast outfit and won’t use a spinning rig. Considering the repair, she did remarkably well with it.
Is it new this year for Mrs OS to go with you as often as she has this year? Is the new rig a surprise?
No replacement
Because it was my fault
Old one broke. Not on purpose
Carelessness.
Old rid was zebbco and was nice.
Reel fell apart.
Ahhh. But she gets a new one so in the end everything is perfect π
Good afternoon all. Check out the Georges Bank buoy water temp79Β° south of Long Island 76Β°. I will be at the beach tomorrow to enjoy that warm water.
Have fun Robert. Not often we get bath water in these parts
Boston Buoy: Water Temperature (WTMP): 67.8 Β°F
Stellwagen Buoy: Water Temperature (WTMP): 67.1 Β°F
Jeffrey’s Ledge Buoy: Water Temperature (WTMP): 62.8 Β°F
Cape Cod Buoy (24 NM East of Provincetown): Water Temperature (WTMP):68.4 Β°F
George’s Bank Buoy: Water Temperature (WTMP): 79.3 Β°F
Well there it is: There is either something wrong OR it got hit with a potent
Gulf Stream eddy of much warmer water. This just doesn’t happen!!
Mauntauk Point Buoy (S of LI): Water Temperature (WTMP): 75.2 Β°F
That is Normal for late Summer. Perfectly normal.
George’s Bank buoy seem out of whack to me.

This opinion piece in the Financial Times sums up my viewpoint on our need to be good stewards of resources and the environment in order to ensure prosperity and a livable earth for future generations. I believe it’s written by a British scientist:

Where is it in there? I see A climate change video for Paris.

Tk I know it’s early but any chance next Saturday is dry all day and into the evening. My wife and I are spending the day and overnight in the city to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thanks .
Happy Anniversary. Sounds like a great way to celebrate. Mac and I have been thinking of staying in the city one night.
Thanks Vicki it’s actually tomorrow.
π
You should just do it. Believe it or not she was not on board it took a lot of convincing. I’m staying high end and eating high end.
That’s the only way to go. We will get there
I think it will be.
Last Sunday without NFL football until Valentine’s Day.
Labor Day going to feel like 4th of July!!!
Love it!! The sports season officially begins!! π
Really…I thought the FedEx cup was nearing an end
Not to mention Serena kicked butt today π
I’m afraid I do not follow tennis. However, I know it is a very popular sport as it should be
I followed it more in the 70s and 80s…not as much now but Serena is fantastic.
Macs parents always watched faithfully. They would enjoy her
I hate having to wait all day for my team to play but that is what I have to do next week when my Cowboys host the Giants in primetime.
Vicki two more events left in the Fed Ex cup after tomorrow. BMW Championship Sept. 17-20 and Tour Championship Sept 23 – 27th.
Yes there are. Mac is catching up right now to today as we were at daughters for steamers this afternoon. He was hoping Jordan Speeth (sp?) would play better. He figures he has played so well that eventually it catches up. Just lousy timing
Two playoff events for Jordan Spieth missed the cut in both.
Jason Day came in winning three of last four starts and is struggling this week.
Mac said same. He said Jason said he was tired
I was happy to see Jason Day win a major and get that monkey off his back after being so close.
I have a feeling he will win many more majors.
Agree.
At DQ in Quincy.
Actually a bit of a chill in the air.
Seriously it feels cool.
New post!
