Thursday Forecast

7:19AM

DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 5-9)…
High pressure slips offshore allowing a warmer southwest flow today and Friday, though some cloudiness will be around at times due to increasing moisture i the air as well as a weak disturbance passing through tonight and a cold front approaching later Friday. Either of these may produce brief rain showers but no widespread rain is expected. After the front passes Friday night, a cooling trend will take place this weekend with dry weather, though some cloudiness may linger for a time especially from the Boston area to Cape Cod on Saturday. By Sunday and Monday, high pressure will be building overhead again with more clear sky and great November weather, though not as warm as the recent and current stretch.

  1. While walking dogs last night still hearing crickets chirping. I’m am near TF Greene airport near Narragansett Bay.

    1. Beautiful area. I went for a hike in West Greenwich / Exeter last Sunday.

Yes, the insects are still around. This said, we’ve all had frost. It’s just been relatively mild most of the fall.

    1. 68 at Logan and Norwood as of 10AM.
      Record, here we come.

Plenty of sunshine. In fact, I can’t see a cloud out there.

Record is 73 for Boston. It goes for sure.
Tomorrow’s may go as well, depends on amount of sunshine.

        1. Oh, I thought is was 73. I guess that one is tomorrow.

I must have been 1/2 asleep watching Eric last night.

          ??????????????????????????????????????????????

          1. It’s 15C at 925 MB. That supports a possible
high temp of “about” 73. Sounds about right.

            NO 79 as you say.

  2. many ski areas out west that have been struggling to open on their average opening days the last 3 or so years, have opened their trails early this year.

  3. Hmmm

Looks like the high at Boston was 76. Not too shabby and closer to the record
    than many thought.

  4. This stretch of weather makes it seem like we’re living in Australia. When will the first 90F be this December? Anyone want to guess? Maybe a heatwave around New Year’s?

    1. Our Niece (the one that resided in Santiago Chile) has now moved
to Brisbane, Australia with her hubbie and 2 children. They were remarking
today about an afternoon thunderstorm. 😀 He is an Australian citizen and
was a diplomat with the Australian Consulate in Santiago. He has now taken
on a new job closer to his Melbourne roots.

  5. Just saw On TWC on a graphic winter on hold. I wasn’t aware winter starts in November. Put that graphic up a month or two later when it would make sense. In November were still fall both meteorological and calendar.

    1. Denver received there 1st 1 inch of snow, about 2 weeks late. Denver has huge differences in weather during winter. It can snow there realistically from October to May, but it can be 65-70 degrees in the middle of January. Crazy!! 🙂

    1. I have a friends that lives there, they say it rarely it cold for long periods, and rarely warm for long periods, says when it does snow, it doesn’t stick around long. 🙂

    1. You get more today, and maybe an encore for part of next week…though not likely as warm.
