DAYS 11-15 (OCTOBER 24-28)…
A few episodes of rain showers, but mainly dry and mild overall.
Good morning and thank you TK.
Thanks TK. Typical fall pattern, lots of ups and downs coming on the temperatures.
I’m also eyeing that 7-10 day range, as the models suggest we may tap into some tropical moisture during that time. That’s the next potentially “interesting” period at least.
Thank you.
Thank you TK and Happy Friday to all.
Thanks TK !
Just got word from my father-in-law who’s in Italy preparing for the olive harvest that the entire crop is ruined. The region had extreme bouts of rainfall all season. The rainfall didn’t directly cause the loss, it was the increase in bugs that thrived under the wet conditions that destroyed not only the olives but many crops in the region, including grapes. Beware of wine from Italian grapes from 2016.
That’s Horrific. So sad to hear.
I remember similar instances a couple times in the 1990s and early 2000s.
I think it is the nature of crops. I cannot imagine how a person feels having poured his all into that seasons growth.
How sad, Ace.
TK – The TV mets are hinting at 80F next week. Is that the “very mild” you have in your forecast above?
Yes, but 80 would be the exception while middle to upper 70s were the rule.
Thanks TK. Even 70 itself is quite mild for mid-late October.

Haha. Fun. Thanks for sharing.
that’s great. nice to see people can still have fun.
Thank you TK
I rarely ever drive through DD or even go there since I don’t commute. Because I’m dog sitting at daughters, I have been stopping to pick up coffee in way home to work each am. This morning the person in the car in front of me paid for my coffee. It is amazing how a simple gesture can make you feel so good. Especially, perhaps, now. My guess is that many also pay it backwards.

This is from the coast of Oregon. Not too often you see this out there!
Echooooooo. Echoooooo
38 with 32 DP.
Yikes. Is everyone sitting in front of a fire. Awfully quiet here
28 in Uxbridge.
Foliage is surprisingly colorful out this way. Burning bushes that never got really red last year are vibrant. There is evidence of leaves missing from gypsy moths and falling early but still more color than I thought they had predicted.
Since I’m talking to myself, why stop.
There is still lots of green here which surprises me some
Morning Vicki! Still lots of green here too but the splashes of color are vibrant which is a pleasant surprise. Deep reds and oranges and bright yellows abound! 🙂
Good morning Vicki !
Good morning, Ace and Tom and JJ
I’ve been from Uxbridge to Sutton to Hopkington to Oxford and auburn and back to Sutton and Uxbridge. My eyes woke up sometime after hopkinton and it was a lovely day to drive and peep at foliage
Colors are nice where I am in CT. According to latest foliage report here moderate color across large part of state and high color in Litchfield County. I was expecting a good display of fall colors this year.
Very short update posted.
Will be a bit absent this weekend.
