   He predicts a cold Winter, however, not without some caveats. We shall see.

      1. It’s amazing stuff. True, it is a long complicated read, but If you have the time, it is well worth it. Well worth it.

         During the Winter, I look forward to reading that blog each and every week. I used to get a notification email, but for some reason I am not currently receiving those. I just know to look each
         Tuesday. Time varies. Sometimes I don’t see it until evening on my mobile device. 😀

            1. It is a must read for any weather enthusiast with a bit more technical knowledge than the average person AND most especially so if one is a Winter Weather enthusiast.

7. I know that today’s forecasted high temps are already quite high, given that it is Nov 2nd.

   Still, I wonder if the temps may overachieve given the warm airmass (summit of Mt Washington temp in the low 40s), visible and infrared satellite seem to indicate potential for some sunshine the next several hours and so far, the surface winds are holding SW ……..

11. Despite the hard freeze, grass seed continue to germinate and seedlings continue to mature. It appears that one or two freezes does not kill seedlings. A sustained freeze is what is necessary at least in my experience this fall.

12. The 2-3 week pattern has been playing pretty well predictable of late. We’re now into the much anticipated very warm start to November across most of the Lower 48. The center of warmth will be well to our west out across the central US. In fact, we’ll be alternating regularly between above and below normal for the next 10-15 days as occasional disturbances drop through, providing sizable temperature swings but little precipitation. TK’s forecast sums that up.

    Towards and beyond mid-month, indications are quite strong that the expansive ridging centered over the central and west-central US will give way to troughing across the central and eastern US, likely leading to a cooler and possibly stormier period for us.

13. My moms God’s fingernail is in the sky tonight. Joined by Saturn and also Venus. No surprise as it is my younger brothers angel day and my mom would make her presence very known

    On November 11, Mac’s angel day, we will have the Taurid meteor showers. Hosted by my brother who was a Taurus. Fanciful?? Maybe. But no one can convince me otherwise. 🙂
