DAYS 1-5 (NOVEMBER 13-17)
High pressure to the south of the region brings a milder west to southwest air flow in for today and Monday with very nice weather. A small low pressure area will come up the coast Tuesday with some rain for the region. This should move away by Wednesday though clearing may be slow to occur. Fair weather returns by Thursday. With the “Super Moon” which is full early Monday, the second of 3 King Tide cycles will take place during the next few days. Coastal flooding may occur at high tide times, even without a storm around, but Tuesday’s event may increase the flooding somewhat.
THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny. Highs 56-63. Wind W 5-15 MPH with higher gusts.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 32-37 interior valleys, 38-45 elsewhere. Wind light WSW.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 56-63. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
MONDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds. Lows 38-46. Wind light variable.
TUESDAY: Cloudy. Periods of rain. Highs 48-55. Wind E to NE 10-20 MPH with higher gusts possible.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy. Lows 40-48. Highs 50-58.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows 35-42. Highs 48-56.

DAYS 6-10 (NOVEMBER 18-22)
Fair and milder November 18-19. Unsettled weather possible in the November 20-22 period depending on the evolution of low pressure and a frontal system near the East Coast.

DAYS 11-15 (NOVEMBER 23-27)
Looking for a fairly tranquil period of weather around the Thanksgiving holiday, but low confidence forecast at this time. A storm may threaten by the end of the period.

    1. Looks decent so far. I’m low confidence on the temp forecast Great Lakes to Northeast. It can go either way through December. I’m waffling but I’m almost thinking we are mild with brief cold shots (the pattern we’re in now) until just before Thanksgiving, colder for 1 to 2 weeks, milder again, then colder again. But I’m not sure if the see-saw tips that far and stays that long in any one position. I’m at a loss to really be confident yet. I’m hoping I can figure something out by November 20, which is when I want to have my winter outlook complete.

    12z GFS wants to put us in the holiday mood on Black Friday throwing some snow our way with a weak low pressure system to our south.

    1. We’ll see it pretty much different every run for several more days.

      The 00z run was a day earlier and 2-4 inches of snow in a good chunk of SNE.

        1. It’s technically at it’s full point after it sets early Monday. So tonight is the largest it will appear.

            1. We essentially do. The difference between right now and about 8 hours for now is so tiny we cannot detect it.

                1. That’s just due to perspective. It always looks larger nearer the horizon than higher in the sky, but there is no discernible difference in reality.

          I had thought and heard that the Leonids were to be on the 11th which was the first anniversary of Mac’s passing. My brother was a Leo so I figured that he and Mac we’re hosting a meteor show

          JJ I know you sadly lost your uncle a year ago last Thursday and would not be surprised if he is enjoying the show as well.

  9. Hi Vicki…. I can’t believe a year has passed since my Uncle lost his battle with cancer.
    It is amazing how fast time flies by.

    1. It does not seem possible either. I’m sending hugs to you. I know how difficult each milestone is. I am blessed as all three kids and all six grandkids were here during the day day Friday and well into the night.

    1. No they’re not. They’re just playing like shit. With the exception of the first series, they have done nothing.

          1. They don’t look to be doing anything special on offense, they just can’t make a play when they really need it

          2. I mean Seattle isn’t doing anything special offensively, the Pats D just can’t make the plays to stop them, plain and simple

            1. You’re probably right.
              I’ve been concerned about the defense for at least 3-4 weeks. They should be better than this. The talent is good. They just can’t get it together. If they can’t get it going, in not sure his far they go. The schedule gets easy after this so they’ll win the division and get a bye most likely. But they are going to have to clean this up if they expect to get to the big game.
