DAYS 1-5 (FEBRUARY 24-28)
So we get to the final 5 days of February, and we start with a “frontal failure” forcing me to adjust the temperature for Friday to warmer. The cold front does make it into the region but only about as far south as northern MA before lifting back to the north during the day. Showers near the boundary will occur mostly in the morning in southern NH and northern MA, and some sunshine is expected to return after a cloud-dominated beginning to the day, although once again some low cloudiness may try to hang in along the South Coast. The remainder of the forecast is similar as we’ll still see a low pressure system track through the Great Lakes and into southeastern Canada with a push of warm air from the south ahead of a strong cold front which will turn it considerably cooler for Sunday and Monday. I’m still a little uncertain on how the next system impacts the region but current thinking is a warm front approaches Tuesday with a mix/rain threat.
TODAY: Mostly cloudy morning including a period of scattered rain showers northern MA and southern NH. Partly cloudy afternoon. Highs 47-56 immediate coastal areas, coolest along the South Coast, 57-64 elsewhere with a few warmer readings interior MA. Wind variable up to 10 MPH morning, SE to S 5-15 MPH afternoon.
TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy. Patchy fog/drizzle late. Lows 45-53. Wind SE to S 5-15 MPH.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy. Patchy drizzle/fog possible southern and eastern areas mainly morning. Scattered rain showers mid to late afternoon. More humid. Highs 53-60 South Coast, 60-67 elsewhere. Wind S to SW 5-15 MPH increasing to 10-20 MPH with higher gusts late.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Cloudy through 3AM with scattered rain showers early then a band of rain/thunderstorms west to east later. Pre-dawn clearing. Temperatures steady 53-63 then quick drop to 40s pre-dawn. Wind S to SW 15-25 MPH and gusty shifting to W pre-dawn.
SUNDAY: Sun and passing clouds. Temperatures steady in the 40s. Wind W 15-25 MPH with higher gusts.
MONDAY: Sunshine and high clouds. Lows 22-30. Highs 38-45.
TUESDAY: Cloudy. Chance of mix/rain/ Lows 25-32. Highs 38-45.
DAYS 6-10 (MARCH 1-5)
Changeable weather to start off March, likely a mild and wet March 1 as low pressure passes north of the region, followed by windy/colder/dry weather March 2. Will watch for a disturbance that may bring a threat of some rain/ice/snow March 3-4 followed by improving weather.
DAYS 11-15 (MARCH 6-10)
Continuing to watch this period for colder weather and some threat of rain/snow/ice.
Thanks TK. Liking these warmer temps at least for now.
Thanks TK
Thanks TK !
Noticed in the morning Taunton discussion that full mixing to 850mb would support max temps in the mid 70s …….
Let’s have that first 70F day contest at Logan ….
Can I choose today ? 🙂 🙂 🙂
Tom, Please see TK’s discussion above and my post below.
There may be a limiting factor for Logan. We shall see, but as long as it’s going to be warm, let’s blow the roof off!!!!
Btw, what is the record for today and tomorrow?
I think the record at Logan today is 70F.
Tomorrow is 65.
Good morning and thank you TK.
When I opened my front door I was struck by the following:
1. A distinct smell of Spring in the air.
2. A symphony of chirping birds. Oh, is that ever a beautiful sound to hear.
You don’t hear that on a typical Winter’s morning, but alas, it was there today!
And yes, I am feeling much better and getting situated at the office.
I took a very very brief look at the Euro, GFS and CMC. I didn’t find much in the
way of Winter prospects. With the 1st day of March arriving next week, let’s cancel
the rest of Winter and Bring on Spring. After yesterday, today and tomorrow, who
needs Winter to return. 😀 😀 😀
Both Boston and Worcester broked their respective records by 3 degrees.
Boston 65 to 68 and Worcester 61 to 64. Pretty impressive stuff for February.
Let’s see what is achieved today and tomorrow. Will Boston get sea breezy today and limit the temperature rise? OR if not a true sea breeze, will there be “just” enough
Easterly component to limit the temperature. We’ll find out.
It was 53 at my house just around 8AM when I was leaving.
Oh one last note: The snow bravely mostly hung on yesterday, only to succumb to overnight melting. I declare OFFICIAL bare ground at my house in JP. 😀 Even the gigantic snow pile at the end of my dead end street has been reduced to virtually nothing.
Glad your feeling better !
I think Logan has a shot at 70F, so long as the wind is 180 to 200 degrees.
It’s nearly 50F already half way up the mt Washington auto road, so it’s a very mild airmass above us.
broked ???? 😀 😀 😀 My fingers don’t communicate well with my brain OR
my brain is light years ahead of my fingers. Add in getting older and you
get broked instead of BROKE!!!! 😀 😀 😀
53.6 in Sutton. Still spots of snow but where it was piled. Glad you are feeling better JPD.
😀
I hope others who are/were ill are feeling much better today.
Get well all.
Still a decent amount of snow in Groveland, particularly in the shaded areas, but it will struggle to hang on through the weekend and early next week. After March 1st it gets harder for me to root for snow. Half of the appeal of snow for me is it sticking around for awhile, that’s why it would be nice if next Winter we can get things going earlier. I think TK mentioned this might happen finally in a previous comment some time ago. I love the warmth, so if it’s not going to snow let’s bring it on!
Agree 100%. In fact, I want to declare Winter over! Those are strong words coming from this snow lover. 😀
Of course, this means that sometime after all of this Warmth, we’ll get nailed. 😀 😀 😀
You bet !! 🙂
Logan’s temp is +11F compared to this time yesterday.

Relative Humidity: 81 %

Already up to 56 with SOUTH wind. I wish they would post the exact degrees.
I will get that somewhere.
This map would indicate a tendency for Logan to go to
SSE or perhaps even SE. That would clearly limit the temperature rise there.
70 at inland locations and not especially far inland, could be
realized, but I don’t think Logan does it.
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?&zoom=8&scroll_zoom=true¢er=42.14915080911932,-73.4271240234375&basemap=ESRI%20Topographic&boundaries=false,false,false&hazard=true&hazard_type=severe&hazard_opacity=60&obs=true&obs_type=weather&elements=temp,dew,wind&obs_popup=false&obs_density=1
73F at Logan is my guess for today, which of course, will fail miserably if the wind goes SE.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Logan’s wind goes SE for a while and then at 2 or 3pm, it veers back to S or SSW.
There is a strong push at all levels of the atmosphere of the warm air. I’m banking that at some point, the surface will also come around even at Logan.
I believe, after looking at various satellite loops, we are headed for full sun this afternoon as the clouds continue to push northeastward.
I agree about the Sun. That part looks good.
The wind at Logan, I dunno. Logan sometime
defies logic. You “could” be correct, but Logan could throw a wrench into your logic. I guess we’ll just sit back, relax and watch it unfold.
My guess is Logan falls short of the record.
Let’s see who is correct. 😀
10AM obs will be out soon.
Latest 10AM OBS for Logan: Up to 59 !!! That was Harvey’s predicted high. 😀

Despite spring like temperatures with upcoming period of -AO GFS says if you live in the #Northeast don’t put the #snow shovel away just yet
Don’t fall into the trap Dave! After today/tomorrow, we ain’t flippin’ to Spring anytime soon. Colder pattern and several snow/mix chances on the GFS in the March 3-12 timeframe.
I have lived through many many many New England Winters/Springs!
You think for second, I don’t know that? 😀 😀 😀
I know what you are saying and that is the CRUEL part of all of this!!!!
I know you know, just reacting to your post above. I don’t really agree that their aren’t any winter prospects in the long range though. The colder air will be around after 3/2 and there are several chances, even though the GFS isn’t showing everything coming together verbatim at this point.
Agree.
Squaw Valley, CA has closed after another 7 feet of snow this week. Ski lifts are buried and inoperable. Some of the pictures in this article are amazing….
http://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/500-inches-and-counting-snow-has-clobbered-california-ski-resorts-this-winter/ar-AAngN4q?li=BBnb7Kz
The extreme drought in California from last year has been entirely eliminated.
Truly amazing. Thank you for sharing.
2/24/1985, 32 years ago today, was the warmest February day on record for much of SNE. Boston hit 70 that day. Can we do that today? The latest (14z) HRRR says yes, 70 on the nose for Logan. Yesterday’s 68 tied for second warmest. I suspect we fall a little short of 70 at the airport, but I could be wrong.
I agree about falling short at the airport, but one never knows. That’s a tricky place for accurately determining high temperatures. Anxiously awaiting the
11 AM obs. Meanwhile, I am looking at the temperature maps, updated roughlu every 5 minutes.
It “looks” like Logan is up to 61 with a SOUTH wind:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?&zoom=8&scroll_zoom=true¢er=42.14915080911932,-73.4271240234375&basemap=ESRI%20Topographic&boundaries=false,false,false&hazard=true&hazard_type=severe&hazard_opacity=60&obs=true&obs_type=weather&elements=temp,dew,wind&obs_popup=false&obs_density=1
Geez, look at some of those temperatures in New Jersey already!!
I see some 68s at this hour! Incredible!
Looks like Logan is up to 64 as of 11AM. Still waiting on official obs.
65F, good gracious !!
Wait until tonight. Has all the markings of struggling to cool off below 55F in northern mass and southern NH. SE Mass may cool a bit lower than that due to an indirect seabreeze off of Nantucket sound.
Record is 65 tomorrow. That one could fall for sure. Even without a lot
of sunshine. 😀 We shall see.
Yes. Even if it falls short, the higher dewpoints tomorrow are likely to give it a warm feel.

It is certainly ROARING towards that record of 70. Will it happen?????
Latest obs. across SNE from NWS:
http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=BOX&issuedby=BOX&product=RWR&format=CI&version=1
Has already cracked 67 at Norwood and Providence as of 11AM! Even Mt Washington has hit 40.
It’s even in the 60s on the CAPE! Amazing!
I see many 70 degree readings already in NJ, NY and parts of CT.
I also notice that back from the coast all wind directions are straight SW and NOT S.
Logan still holding at South with temp 66. IF the wind shifts to SW, Logan breaks
the record. It all depends upon that wind direction. If it stays South, it “may” Only
reach 68 or so like yesterday. I am rooting for a record!!
I just hit 68 here Dave. Amazing and not even noon.
This is unbelievable stuff in SNE. Looks like Logan is 67 at noon. 10 miles south, Blue Hill is also 67. Monthly record there is 68. I think that one’s going down.
Blue Hill is at something like 620 feet above sea level!!!!
A year ago today, we surged into the 60s as well, with a severe weather episode across Eastern Mass…..at 4am. I distinctly remember the frequent lightning and strong winds while driving home from work that night.
Not only is the temp rising, so are the dp’s. Up to 54F at Logan at noontime, with a 67F airtemp.
Amazing, no extreme or exceptional drought. What a turnaround this winter.

Nice !
12z GFS …. I think nearly every feature is either across northern New England or tracking up the st Lawrence River valley.
For what it is worth, six month old granddaughter just tested positive for flu. I was pretty sure that’s what we all have since it is so severe, but of course this confirms. All of us had the shot…except 6 month old because she was too young. Shot didn’t work last year either as I recall.
And after that brief Intermission…on to weather. 67 in Sutton with a stiff breeze.
Hope she and everyone feels better soon Vicki !!
Thank you, Tom.
Hope she feels better soon Vicki. My 9 year old son also tested positive for the flu and has missed the last two days of school. Has a hacking cough. He had the flu shot as well. People sometimes don’t realize the shot does not prevent the flu, it just minimizes the symptoms.
I hope he feels better also. Symptoms sound the same except my body doesn’t want to work 🙂 . From what I hear the schools are full of it. I do understand that there can be breakthrough but yikes if this is minimized I don’t want the full version. Son in law and two grandsons are pretty well mended. Daughter just turning the corner. Baby and I are last two.
Oh no. Hope you both feel better soon.
Thank you, North. It is nice looking out at this beautiful day
I am so sorry. Of course, you probably know I believe that flu shots and most other drugs are money making scams by the Pharmaceutical industry. Sure, a few actually work if the damn side effects don’t kill the patient first. Else, the facuckta shot would work and people wouldn’t get the flu. It’s a joke in my opinion. But I rant once again.
Hahaha. I enjoy your rants. You gave me a smile. My son feels the same. I had the flu once about 15 years ago and that was enough to convince me to get the shot. Although, like you, I always have reservations
this warm weather this early makes me depressed. I hate this crap.
http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2017/02/donald-trump-scott-pruitt-epa-employee-resist
I agree Matt. This is a crying shame! Yet people approve of this joke of a president!
It’s so nice that the shoe is on the other foot. Welcome to how I felt the last 8 years 🙂
There is no comparison. You may have differed with
Obama’s politics which is fine, but you could not dispute his integrity. He at least acted presidential.
The man in office now is a clown. (this is NOT a democratic/republican thing. Trust me). Had Mitt Romney, Scott Brown or John McCain or like were elected, you wouldn’t hear a word from me.
This is other worldly.
Ditto and then some
I’d vote for him again and twice on Sunday .
MAGA!!!!!!
Politics again on here? i havnt been on here in over a week because of it, and here we are again.
really not politics, it was weatherwiz who made it political…
I can’t say I’m surprised that it’s this warm …..
The southeast US never really cooled off this winter, it’s heat budget is probably so high compared to what it should be in late February. Then, you add into it these strange ultra sunny, winter warm sectors. I think these records are cooked by 2-3F by 3 to 4pm.
Logan at 71!! All time February high!!
We close to 20 degrees warmer than Phoenix. Pretty unbelievable.
Latest Obs:

Now 71 in Hartford, Providence and Boston as of 1PM. Marshfield at 72 is the warmest reading in SNE.
I went home for lunch. I can’t believe how warm it is.
I had both front windows rolled down.
at 1PM at home, Acurite (high in the sun) was 76, Oregon Scientific (in shade and typically low) was 71 and my car was 73. No matter how you slice it tis WARM!
Hey, TOM Nice call this morning. You may still get your 73!
Ice cream truck in Copley Sq at the corner of Dartmouth & Boylston. I have never seen that in February. Maybe a first ever?? 🙂
Yes, and Sullivan’s at Castle Island opened yesterday. Not sure it has
ever opened that early.
12Z Euro has 69 for Boston tomorrow.
FWIW, the Euro has been pretty decentl with this warm spell predicting high

It is 74 degrees in Sudbury right now. Went out for another walk – it is beautiful; but I know it’s still Feb. and winter. We could get another snowstorm anytime in the next month or so. Difference is, as someone mentioned in an earlier blog, I think, that the sun’s angle would melt snow faster than if it was Dec. or Jan. Looking forward to possible thunder tomorrow night – if any strong weather makes it this far east.
Mark and Vicki – hope you and family feel better soon.

something is on the Euro Horizon:

Right now the second all time warmest February temperature on record. The other two dates two years in the top 3 according to a tweet from Ryan Hanrahan had a hurricane that summer 85 and 54.
Daily? Or monthly average?
It’s all in the words. 😀
Second highest temp ever recorded for month of February at BDL so far.
Here is the tweet from Ryan
https://twitter.com/ryanhanrahan/status/835218498221715456
ah haha. DAILY it is. Thanks for the clarification. Interesting link to the
hurricanes. I wonder IF it is statistically valid, or just a coincidence????
hopefully not, Im on nantucket all this summer June through August for research
85 was Gloria 54 was that Hazel
Belle in 76
I remember hearing the stories of the hurricanes of 1955 which resulted in the flood of 1955 here in CT which impacted some communities.
I believe that was DIANE.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Diane
I have some issues with the validity of Logan’s temps. I’m highly doubtful they are correct.
Really? Ordinarily I would agree 100%, BUT today, honestly, I think the readings are/were correct. How can we tell for sure?
Logan’s temps have been running too warm for a couple years. I would bet money on it. I wish the state climatologist I worked for/with was still alive. He’d be all over this.
That guy was special. I remember the name well, but
never actually met the man. I have heard many good things about him.
I totally agree that in general the temps have been wacky over there (as Well as precipitaion whether it be rain or snow), but judging by all of the other surrounding area observations today, I am not sure today’s temperatures should be in question. But what the hell do I know. 😀
There were actually 2 of them. Robert, who is still living at 99 years old, and Dave, who sadly passed away from cancer a couple years ago.
Oh, I only remember Robert.
Didn’t know the Dave, sorry to say.
I’ll bet they are/were both great guys.
NOTE to the MEDIA, in case you are watching…
A stretch of warm weather in February is not a “first” every time it happens, morons. Get a grip and learn how to actually report correctly! Why don’t you look up Boston’s record high temps for the month of February. It’s posted up there… 😉 How many of them are under 60? Hmm?
Also, NWS needs to do some calibrating of the official stations as many of them are no longer reading accurately. I guarantee you if they actually go out and do a check (and not just say they are) then they will find 1 to 3 degree errors at more than half the sites, most of them running too warm.
The other thing the media takes it upon themselves to either declare or at least instill in the minds of viewers is that a stretch of weather like this means it’s here to stay. Really? Yes some of those summer places may have jumped the gun by 6 to 8 weeks and opened for the season far too early. When you ask “where’s spring?” when we have normal temperatures and a few mix/snow events in March, my answer will be: This is it! Deal!
How about we start thinking about weather as weather again and not a “crazy” event every damn day of the week?
CONCUR chief!
Well that very well may explain why my Oregon Instruments thermometer
very often would appear low compared to Logan.
But today of all days, that very Oregon Instruments thermometer was
reading 71.2 at 1PM and I have no idea IF it reached 72 as well.
I assure you your temps are likely more accurate than Logan’s.
The sad thing is, it’s fixable.
Thank you. I actually feel much better about that
thermometer. I always thought that it was decent.
AND for what it is worth, only topped out
at between 66 and 67 yesterday. Never made
68. 😀 Not even sure it made 67. I remember seeing it at 66.5 or so at one point.
News outlets declare they are all for fair and balanced reporting, but many of them have long lost sight of it. Reporters feel pressured if not compelled to feed the media beast. Sensationalism sells and sells even better in a world of sound bites. It is unfortunate. A few days of 60 degree temps is just what it is … a few days of 60 degree temps.
Totally agree!!
Let’s see what they say when we get a DUMP OF SNOW
sometime next month. It’s the apocalypse!!!!
When we get snow, the media will talk about the trend in wild swings of the weather … going from 60 degree temps to snow and back to the 60’s.
Headline: “Swings in the Weather are Unprecedented”
Sub-Head: “Meteorologist Joe Bastardi Baffled”
A butterfly flapping its wings would baffle
that guy!
Great comment Longshot
Let’s hope that this program sticks around…..
http://www.noaa.gov/stories/6-things-to-know-about-coastal-habitat-restoration
Matt, you must know more about this program?
Tom, you are a prophet!!!
Look at this (assuming it to be true)
https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2017/02/24/temp-reaches-boston-tying-record/f27BSOzxmg89hJsVU0kdtJ/story.html
TK, perhaps it’s beyond the scope of the board here (if so, maybe an email?), but I’d be very curious in why you think the Logan ASOS, and potentially other sites, have a warm bias. Not doubting you, just curious. In any case I think it would be an excellent idea, and something very practical, to at least calibrate the major climate sites.
I think it may be nothing more than an equipment issue and probably lack of regular calibration efforts (for whatever reason). I’m going to check into this with a NWS person at the Taunton office.
In any case, today’s warmth was remarkable. Many monthly records were beaten by 2+ degrees. A day to remember.
Another warm one tomorrow. But yes, winter’s return lurks. It won’t be bitter cold, but much cooler with potentially some snow threats worked in for much of early March.
Interview on the news:
“I just randomly saw that it was 70 degrees out and I thought, well when am I gonna get this again!?”
Do they interview a ton of people and intentionally put the stupidest ones on the air?
The news is more about how he entertainment factor than actually reporting the news. I watch New Hampshire station news before I go to work. Makes me feel like I’m on vacation.
Delete how he……. no idea how that got in there.
Following up on the flu discussion earlier, just saw this:
http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2017/02/17/cdc-flu-vaccine-only-48-percent-effective-this-year/
Perhaps this explains why so many people who got the flu shot are still getting it!
Great info. Looks as if your son and we don’t have B strain. I misspoke earlier when I said last year that it was not a good match. I knew it was a bad match when Mac was here since we had lengthy discussions with his doctors. I was just thinking that was last year.
Anyway. We discussed tamiflu with them and every one recommended not using it. Six month olds pediatrician also said same today
Thank you, Mark. I will pass this to my daughter. Hope your son is feeling better
Thanks Vicki. He is feeling better and went back to school today. The doctor at the minute clinic offered Tamaflu but said it may or not work and if it does, it only improves recovery time by a day to a day and a half. When I went to the pharmacy after, the prescription was going to be $300 for a 5 day supply. No thank you!
Hope you feel better soon.
Where was the Weather Bureau’s official recording station before there was a Logan airport?
Could that location be restored in addition to Logan?
Where else would you put an official observation station in Boston besides Logan? Boston Common?
Doesn’t NYC have multiple stations? Isn’t one at Central Park?
Here in Taunton ~
February 24, 2015 ~ -7 degrees
February 25, 2016 ~ 63 degrees (with five consecutive Severe Thunderstorm Warnings here in Bristol County in the wee hours)
February 24, 2017 ~ 70.2 degrees at my house which is pretty accurate. The high was 67 at the NWS-BOX. The ASOS at East Taunton Airport has not been reporting for two days now.
The warmest February day recorded in Taunton was 69 on February 25, 1976. It was 93 on Easter Sunday that year and 92 on Marathon Monday.
Well, here’s what I was greeted with when I returned home this evening.
According to neighbors, this came down about 4Pm today.
This tree is literally feet from my house.

Oh my goodness. I can’t believe the wires didn’t come down too. So so glad no one was hurt and your house is ok
Not yet anyway. They are really drooping as you can see.
Waiting on Eversource as they promise to remove it tonight.
We shall see. If it goes, we don’t know which homes will be affected and lose power. Certainly the 2 or 3 being feed by those wires. Depending on how it snaps, if it snaps, then we could or could not lose power. Difficult to say.
I wish they would get here and remove the damn thing.
Eversource was so nice. “We only remove the tree if it is on
our electrical wires” How nice! Yes, I think they are on the electrical wires, since those wires directly power 3 houses!!
The toad stools from Eversource NEVER came as promised. I HATE that company!!!!
both locations Billerica and Umass Boston area were above 75 degrees today. I biked into boston today with a t-shirt and shorts. I should not be able to do that and be comfortable.
this is abnormal no one is going to convince me that its not. Maybe a few days maybe 2 or 3 but full out weeks. I ain’t buying into that. We will have to respectfully disagree. Maybe 2 weeks of winter so far. Here is a hope that winter makes a surprise come back for March. I want to see them snow haters angry. I been upset that this winter has been the second season in a row that has stunk. In somewhat different ways but still stunk.
ahh…this Winter has had a few interesting storms at least. Not even I
felt skunked and I am tough to please. 😀
i am mainly complaining of the fact that when one of these storms hits and gave ski areas good snows this winter it warmed up the next day and ruined the snow conditions. Last year they had nothing.
That I understand completely. When one is an avid skier, that really sucks. I can remember so many times
hitting that damn boiler plate caused by warm and rain and then a freeze. I nearly killed myself a couple of times
on that shit. edges or not.
I try to avoid those conditions as back in 2012 I got in a bad skiing accident while racing in Killington in 2012. Part of the reason I decided to fall out of 2 of the 3 races I was going to do this winter. We shall see what March brings. All the training I have done this past summer/fall will need to be used next year lol
Good morning. Starting the day off at 55 Degrees on Feb. 25th. Amazing.
I see the ocean temperature went up a Degree in response to the warmth the
last few days. Imagine that, it going up in February.
Boston Bouy this morning: Water Temperature (WTMP): 43.0 °F
This morning Barry mentioned there will be chances for snow AFTER cold temps return on Friday. I assume multiple events ahead as opposed to one biggie?
Too early to know anything other than the pattern supports frozen precip. chances.
Models, no good beyond 3 days outside of general trends. This hasn’t changed yet and probably won’t for a while yet.
SPC Outlook for today. This looks more like a late spring outlook in terms of thunderstorms.
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html
0Z euro has 68 for today. IF that were to happen, it would make 3 consecutive days
where the high temperature was broken by 3 degrees.
Bot thermometers are currently reading 57.
February???
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/outlook/day1otlk.html
59 on the dot in sutton
Amazing. Still Both thermometers reading the same (no or little Sunshine is why) at 58.
I noticed that both Wunder and mine read the same this morning for first time. I am more inclined to trust mine since I know it’s placement. But not sure as it can seem like outlier at times. If I ever get the accurite set up then I will have two 🙂
Yup. my Acurite now reading 60 and Oregon Scientific
Reading 59.
Updating in a moment…
The Record WILL fall today yet again. Unexpected Abundant sunshine out there!!
It was over 6o at 10am in pembroke.
It’s 64 now .
jp thanks for showing that link on here its a great program. Many of the colleges on the east coast is involved in it. Including the lab I work for. I am focused on seagrass bed ecology which is one of the least known. Summer research is on population dynamics and consumption rates and if the rising water temperatures through the summer affect the population…. basically temperature preferences…. anyone know what habitat holds the most blue carbon???
also the over all project is protected because its entirely done by the government and has major state support up and down the east, west and gulf. Bp is actually involved
I love watching the models trying to play catchup on now, next week’s mild to warm Monday thru Thursday. What looked like 40s and maybe 50s a few days ago for this time period is trending towards low-mid 50s with a very warm Thursday.
I thought it was going to get cold again starting tomorrow and most of next week is that off the table now .
Chilly tomorrow, especially with what we’ve been used to, along with a chilly to come wind chill, then moderation commences again Monday, but not quite to the level of what we’ve seen the last 3 days. But Monday afternoon should be a bit above 50F.
Mild week ahead. No real cold until next friday.
Nice . What a day out there . Lots of folks doing yard work and the estimates have begun as I was awarded a weekly debris pickup today and providing estimate tomorrow morning for another customer.
first full week of march looks cool
Except March 1 and 2 🙂
thats why I said first full week of March…..
Updated!
