DAYS 1-5 (JUNE 14-18)
High pressure brings beautiful mid June weather today and Thursday, and then it slides off to the east and a trough sits to the west Friday-Sunday, allowing humidity and the risk of showers to return.
TODAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 68-75, coolest East Coast. Wind N to NE 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 48-56, coolest interior valleys. Wind light variable.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 72-78, coolest coast. Wind light variable with sea breezes.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers. Lows in the 50s. Highs in the 70s, coolest South Coast.
SATURDAY: Variably cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the 60s. Highs in the 70s, coolest South Coast.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny. Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the 60s. Highs in the 80s, some 70s South Coast.
DAYS 6-10 (JUNE 19-23)
Humid and a shower/thunderstorm risk at times June 19-20, then a transition to drier weather follows. Temperatures near to above normal early in the period then near to below normal.
DAYS 11-15 (JUNE 24-28)
A more zonal pattern is still expected with a few episodes of showers/storms from passing disturbances and more variable temperatures.
Thanks.
Rascals day in W Dennis, with a thin cloud cover.

Thank you MassBay
Loved the smiley face. I smiled right back at it!
Thank you, TK.
We still have not heard from Dr. Stupid. 🙁
I’ve been mostly reading as of late and noticed that he hasn’t posted in a while. Hope he is ok.
I hope so also.
Thanks, TK.
Yesterday we got Nothing re: storms. A few puffy clouds; some cloudiness. However, we got some light showers sometime in the middle of the night. Looks like a beauty today, ‘though.
Thank you TK.
Need Saturday dry as I need to finish a big job .
Not sure where or when this one got its started.

I think we could categorize today as a NICE day, no? 😀
IMO…it is a PERFECT day.
Ditto, Sue!
I would not say that anyone’s forecast was a bust yesterday.
There were some potent storms to be sure.
I was only disappointed that they missed by area, and not by all that much either. 😀
Close enough to see lightning & rain shafts and hear thunder, but no cigar.
You probably saw my post about that on NESC FB page. 😉
maybe. 😀 😀 😀
Stunner of a day!! 8)
😎
As an 8 our of 10 OR is that your count of stunner days for the year so far?
😀
Haha, simply a stunner of a day. The 8 was supposed to be a wordpress code for the smiley with sun glasses but I guess that code doesn’t work anymore
Sometimes I try to read too much into something. 😀
In any case, it did provide me with a well needed chuckle.
I was up to 78 at home before a good stiff Easterly breeze kicked in.
67 at Logan…feels nice! 🙂

Pretty quiet day here at ole WHW. 😀
For a minute I thought Ace’s #8 was for the eighth poster. I think there cannot be more than a dozen.
I’m thinking that people are enjoying this amazing day!!
Well, there is no real weather to talk about. 😉
You’re right about Boston, but there’s always weather to discuss, at least somewhere on our planet.
In Bangladesh, heavy rainfall caused mudslides which have killed hundreds of people.
The world’s southernmost city of Ushaia, Argentina, is in winter mode with snow an everyday occurrence:

And closer to home, tornadoes have hit the high plains.
That’s just about what our forecast was here only a week or two ago. Off by only 5-10 degrees

Nice song to end the day
Love the photos. Love June. Best month of course….followed closely by its half sister, December 🙂
We might be tracking thunderstorms early next week and if there any the blog will light up like a Christmas tree.
I’ll believe it when I see it.
We made 84 in Wrentham today. Warmer than forecast. I kind of expected as much given we started the day not too far off of the forecast highs. A “cooler” air mass, but also much drier, so it heated well. A few days of relative quiet on tap. A real beauty tomorrow. The weekend is a little unsettled, but I think we’ll see plenty of dry hours both days. Monday has the look of a potentially active severe weather day; the current modeled synoptic pattern is on point for such, anyway (and I’ve been looking at lots of past severe weather patterns for my research lately 🙂 ). But that’s getting pretty far ahead. Timing and feature placement will probably shift around.
I neeed Saturday dry from 7-3:30 drizzle fine just nothing heavy I need to finish this job as I’m loosing money cause I couldn’t get it done last Saturday.
One of our meteorologist here in CT Mike Cameron was mentioning the possibility of strong storms for a week from Sunday on his Sunday evening weather discussion talking about some of the ingredients that could be in place. Now the timing looks to have shifted to Monday.
Some areas yesterday saw one heck of a thunderstorm but as was the case last year isolated and nothing widespread.
Great day for our cluster’s annual Canobie field trip. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade. I got wet from one of the water slides and the upper 30s dewpoints sure provided a chill.
New post!
