    1. Yes, saw that. Thank you very much. Going to take our chances tomorrow as I’d rather not get wet up there on Sunday!

    1. He should gather up a bit and finally make it to CAT 1 hurricane before landfall, which I think will be around Mobile AL.

  1. Houston 4, Boston 1 Bottom of 6th.
Not looking good, but they have come back from a 3 run deficit before. 😀

  2. The error on Mookie was hysterical. Perfect summary of the Red Sox postseason play the past two years. They are simply not in the same league as any other team in the playoffs. Unfortunate that they have to play another game.

Nate is gradually organizing, but it has really struggled to develop an inner core, and until it does, intensification will remain slow at best.

  3. Thank you, TK.

Sox look even more dead than they did last year against the Indians. How is that possible? Nobody showed up to play. I realize they’re not as good as the Astros, or Indians, or Yankees, but they’re better than what they’re currently displaying.

  4. Red Sox with the players they got should not have been swept last year and should not be on the verge on being swept this postseason. I think if they get swept Farrell’s job will be in jeopardy. Yankees fans including myself angry on why Girardi did not challenge the play where Chisenhall was clearly not Hit By Pitch which resulted a batter later in a grand slam. Girardi’s worst moment as a Yankees manager and a decision that cost the Yankees a chance to tie series. I am a Giradi supporter but you got to challenge that play.

    1. Welcome to Red Sox nation managerial flubs (hello Grady Little in reverse … Took out Sabathia way too soon)

  5. Nate concerns …

    1) it’s forward speed ….. Wouldn’t want to be just east of its landfall on the gulf coast for storm surge. Wonder if it’s going to be a cat 2 or 3 storm surge in a cat 1 hurricane ??

Not strong, but look how the intensity guidance levels off around 30 knots as Nate moves through New England. In fact, a few plots show strengthening past us as it merges with a mid latitude cyclone.

We’ll be on the south side of whatever circulation remains in southernmost New England. Wonder if there might be some surprising wind gusts in southern New England ??

  6. Tom I agree with you about Girardi taking out Sabathia too soon. The Yankees are up 8-3 at that point and fourth and fifth innings side was retired in order. He settled down and was dealing after a shaky first two innings. Another mistake by Girardi in the game but the BIG one was not challenging the hit by pitch..

  7. Was it determined that a meteor did not start the Lost River Gorge fire in New Hampshire? I know that it had been mentioned and that a few days ago they were questioning it, but I never heard the final determination.

    1. Thanks, Captain. Amazing. My grandkids are all familiar with the lighthouse so got a huge kick out of this.

  8. I am starting to think that Above normal temperatures will be the norm through December with weak, short lived periods of cool temperatures in between
