DAYS 1-5 (JUNE 9-13)
This is one of those days you can kind of cheat on a forecast update and essentially use yesterday’s forecast and just do minor tweaks. I wont lie, that’s all I’m about to do, because there are really no changes to what I wrote yesterday, so just right to the forecast details of a now dry pattern. In fact, only next Wednesday may we feel some humidity and see the chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm.
TODAY: Sunshine dominant morning. Limited sun afternoon. Highs 75-83. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Variably cloudy. Lows 50-57. Wind light variable.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy to sunny. High 68-74 coast, 74-80 inland. Wind light variable with sea breezes.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Patchy valley fog. Lows 50-57. Wind light variable.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 70-75 coast, 75-80 inland. Wind SE up to 10 MPH.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. Lows from the middle 50s to lower 60s. Highs from the middle 70s coast to middle 80s inland.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm. More humid. Lows from the upper 50s to middle 60s. Highs from the upper 70s to middle 80s.
DAYS 6-10 (JUNE 14-18)
A general west to east flow will dominate. Weak fronts or disturbances about around June 15 and 17 may produce brief shower threats, otherwise dry weather will be dominant overall. Temperatures averaging near to above normal.
DAYS 11-15 (JUNE 19-23)
A continuation of the pattern of days 6-10 is expected. Overall pattern is dry, but passing disturbances bring brief wet weather threats. Temperatures variable but averaging near normal overall.
#1??
Thank you TK
Thanks TK !
I’d be happy with this weather occurring all the way through mid September.
Thank you.

MasBay…..Iβm moving ahead with your tournament idea. I just need to figure out roughly if weβd have enough people to play.
I am a definite contributor. In the fall I am highly unlikely to be free to participate during the week. But someone who has put these things together might advise you how to scout out the attendance. Maybe Dana Farber can put you in touch with such people who have done these. My extended family has done DF fundraisers for family members, but they have been evening social gatherings and younger (30s and 40s!) family members have drawn lots of friends. The good news is you have a lot of lead time. Keep at it so the angels can pitch in π
Thank you. We switched the date and are hoping for Macs birthday…August 19, 2019. And I sure appreciate your support. I canβt recall if I had said I spoke with the Dana rep for about 45 minutes Friday. They have tons of support. Hadi answered some of my questions also. π
That’s a good date for people in general. A Monday, too. I am very hopeful I can participate. π
Keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you,
I have a question to ask on here but want TKs permission first.
Thank you and TK If I may disagree
It isnβt cheating when you use yesterdays forecast, it is an accomplishment to have had a forecast that didnβt change a few days prior
Just sayinβ. π
Thank you Vicki. π
Only the truth π
On June 9, 1948 WBZ-TV made its on air debut with Boston Mayor James Michael Curley welcoming its viewers from his office at the Old City Hall. Listen carefully and you can hear a car horn outside near the beginning of his message. π
I am still surprised that today is a normal day at WBZ otherwise with no special ceremony or cake or programming. Oh well.
I get the impression from the outlook above that bone dry times possibly ahead. Barry’s map showed a larger coverage of abnominally dry conditions. Getting close to Boston as well.
so low humidity through this nice stretch or are we going to have a sauna.
`Freezing’ cold inside the house I’m staying in. My feet are ice-blocks. I think the outside temperature is the same as inside, and it’s a damp chill. Apparently, it’s often this way all year round. The homes are not built for cold, however. Odd. Poorly insulated and very large windows everywhere. Great when the sun is shining, but it hasn’t made its cameo appearance today. The people for whom I’m house-sitting did mention that I could turn up the heat. I’ll do that if I can find the thermostat. Good thing I brought warm clothes.
Are you in Seattle, Joshua?
About 40 miles north of Seattle.
Went outside just now and smelled fireplaces and Benjamin Franklin stoves going in the neighborhood.
Though there are seasons here, the climate is much more temperate than Boston – much more moderated by the ocean. It’s due to the prevailing westerly, which here means an ocean wind, and in Boston means a continental wind (which can be very warm in summer if it’s from the southwest, and very cold in winter if it’s from the northwest). I’m told it does get cold here sometimes, and they can get snow. But, both are infrequent.
I know one thing I haven’t this cold indoors since early January in Boston when my heating system couldn’t keep my place warmer than 60F.
Seattle sounds awful if that is a typical summer.
I know this isnβt funny but your comment about the thermostat has me laughing out loud. Good luck

Thanks TK. I think many of us recall stories from our parents or grandparents.
I honestly can remember that day. I was living in Norwood at the time and
was nearly 7 years old. I swear on a stack of bibles that there was debris
falling from the sky. I can distinctly remember some pieces of asphalt roof shingles. You don’t forget something like that.
And no, it was not supposed to be 100% sunny today. π
I know. I’m near Seattle. π
HAHA!!
Hahahaha
Thanks for posting the links TK on the Worcester tornado.
re: Worcester Tornado
I highly recommend this book as it is quite a read. You’ll feel like you’re in the tornado.

Thank you JPD. I marked it to get for Humarock
You will enjoy.
Still no Mookie today. They NEED him!!!
Losing the opener to the White Sox last night Red Sox can’t lose this series at home. I am surprised no one has picked up Hanley Ramirez yet. Yankees fans very happy with the Red Sox decision to designate him for assignment as he was a Yankee killer.
Sale pitches a gem and the sox can’t hit a beach ball!!
Well they did a tad better today. Yesterday, they wouldn’t hit water IF they fell out of their boat.
Today’s update will be a little later than usual (probably between 10:30 & 11:00 a.m.).
Take your time and please enjoy this lovely morning
Last evening, as the breeze picked up a bit, I saw something I usually only see in Myles Standish Forest. A green fog of pollen mist gently pushing out of the woods.
Our cars are covered in a green layer as well. We need a bit of rain to cleanse the air out.
Eww. I have never seen that. The rain last week cleaned some of the pollen. But much of it is back. I told my youngest that my sinuses were full last night. She pointed out it might have something to do with every one of my windows open wide.
Put ponds also have a layer of pollen.
Out ponds ….
Oh good grief. OUR
π π
Right in the “thick” of pine pollen season now, literally & figuratively as far as the use of the word in quotations. In an idea tree year, it’s not surprise it’s almost taking on the form of a yellow green snowstorm. Another week or so and we will be beyond this. And just in time, because I’m looking at us being in moderate drought in a lot of the area before June is over. It started out lush, but is going to lose some of it for a while. We should recover somewhat during the second half of the summer with more tropical air and resultant tropical shower activity, but until then I think our rain chances will be fairly limited.
Updating the blog now…
That (2nd half of summer thoughts) will be good
New post!
