According to the NHC there is a disturbance off the African coast that has a 100% chance of development within the next day or so.

3 major ensembles are placing a major hurricane near or just off the US East Coast the week after Labor Day Weekend. In classic style, Henry M. posted today that the Euro long range has a major hurricane almost on top of NYC on 9/11.
Like I said in a previous blog a “weather personality”was prognosticating already.
Phillip, I would say Katia is almost a 100% given, but as you well know predicting it’s track is something else.
