DAYS 1-5 (JULY 1-5)
If you picked this week for not having to go to work, you win. Hmm, looks like I won. 😉 … High pressure dominates with about as great a 5-day stretch of weather as you can have, starting out dry and pleasant today with a gradual increase in humidity and a bit more heat as the week goes on, but you will never really feel the humidity become oppressive, because it won’t quite make it to that level, it will just become more noticeable especially by Thursday (July 4). Our fairly insignificant threats of any unsettled weather are in the form of a pop up shower over the hills north and west of Boston later today, a possible early morning shower Tuesday with a passing disturbance, a slight risk of a brief shower early Wednesday south and west of Boston as debris from day-before thunderstorms in the Midwest passes by, and a risk of an air mass thunderstorm popping up later Friday. Otherwise, the next 5 days will be largely rain-free. As a friendly reminder, if
you have outdoor plans, remember things like sunscreen and to drink water for hydration, insect repellent, and as always, check for ticks if you’ve been near any vegetation. Common sense stuff in general but easy to overlook if you are busy coordinating things. Otherwise, enjoy the weather if you have an opportunity to do that!
Forecast details…
TODAY: Sunny to partly cloudy. Highs 77-84. Wind N 5-15 MPH.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy. Slight risk of a passing shower. Lows 61-68. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY: Clouds early, then mostly sunny. Highs 80-87. Wind W 5-15 MPH.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Lows 60-67. Wind light W.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs 82-89, but may cool back to upper 70s coast. Wind light variable with light sea breezes possible.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy. Lows 63-70. Wind light variable to SW.
THURSDAY (INDEPENDENCE DAY): Partly cloudy. More humid. Highs 84-91, may turn cooler coast. Wind light SW but coastal sea breezes.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear. Humid. Lows 64-71. Wind light SW.
FRIDAY: Partly cloudy. Slight risk of an isolated afternoon thunderstorm. Humid. Highs 85-92. Wind SW 5-15 MPH.
DAYS 6-10 (JULY 6-10)
A weak cold front will cross the region Saturday July 6 which will be a warm to hot, humid day, with a risk of a few showers and thunderstorms. This front drops south of the region Sunday July 7 which will be slightly less humid but still on the warm side with some cloudiness and a risk of South Coast showers. A few changes for early next week with high pressure bringing dry and pleasant weather to start the week then a quick warm up ahead of an approaching front with increasing humidity and a risk of showers/thunderstorms toward midweek.
DAYS 11-15 (JULY 11-15)
A return to mainly westerly flow and seasonably warm weather with a couple disturbances bringing opportunities for passing showers/storms amidst mostly dry weather otherwise. A fairly typical July pattern but we will lack sustained heat in this pattern.

Thanks TK.
Thanks Tk . I get to enjoy a much needed 4 days off starting Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 thanks to Tk giving me incredible updates throughout the weekend & getting all of my jobs completed. Thanks again Tk .
Thank you TK. I was supposed to have the week but have a couple of deadline jobs today and one conference all. Then the week is mine. I hope yours is perfect.
Thanks TK. Those that are on vacation this week enjoy!
Good morning and thank you TK.
When you say more humid for the 4th, any idea of dew points?
We have plans for that day, but not sure my wife can make it depending
on that facata dew point.
low 60s? mid 60s? upper 60s? Mid 60s and beyond, my wife is incapacitated.
lows 60s ain’t so good either. I am thinking dp around 65 give or take.
Is that about right?
If it’s a cookout could she go in & out if air conditioner is provided
July 4 dew points probably middle to upper 60s.
Thanks TK. That’s exactly what I was worried about.
Probably not going to work, but it will depend upon dps
leading up to the 4th.
They should be under 60 through tomorrow, maybe edging into the lower 60s Wed.
Thank you very much.
I purchased three(3) ULTRA QUIET newest state of the art windown air conditioners this weekend.
These will replace 3 older NOISIER units.
Plus I have one more fairly new unit giving me a total of 4 units.
“Hopefully” that will help. We shall see.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I was thinking about Mrs OS especially in Saturday.
Saturday was brutally disgustingly awful. She was among the walking
dead, literally. She has trouble breathing in that weather.
I think we need to move to Arizona!!!!
Thank you.
Thank you, TK.
Drove quite a bit this weekend – to an event in Bolton Landing (Lake George area). While it was dry and nice during the event on Saturday afternoon and evening, I had intermittent showers and downpours both on my way to Bolton Landing and on my return trip to Boston yesterday. And, when I got home I saw that once again the courtyard and trash area were flooded. On the bright side, everything does look verdant.
Thanks TK.
This week pretty much what you would expect for the first week of July.
We capped a really special Sutton old town Fourth Celebration. I was honored to be on the planning committee as I think most know. TK should be an honorary member. He helped not only with weather but also with finding a fireworks vendor. Atlas was phenomenal to work with ans their technician gave us a spectacular display. Small town, small budget all donated by sponsors. Sue helped me start to finish from advice on planning to finding someone to supply an ATM at the very last minute
We truly are a WHW family and I am blessed to be part of it
Our finale although I suspect TK has better photos

Wow! Pretty amazing!!
Thanks for the fireworks, Vicki. 🙂
That’s so great Vicki!
Thank you all. It was fun
Thank you TK.
Just stepped outside and it might be the nicest morning in history.
right up there for sure.
If only everyday during the summer was like today.
I’m kind of glad they’re not. I like storm chasing. 😉
Thank you TK! At 5:00 pm tomorrow I will begin my vacation. No work until July 15th. Woo Hoo!
Congratulations, Sue! Enjoy!
Awesome sue I hope you have a great time .
Nice Sue. I look forward to following your adventures with your boys.
Enjoy Sue !
Thank you all for the kind wishes. I am very much looking forward to some down time with my boys. Pretty soon they won’t want to hang with their mom. 🙂
Ya know what…..I used to think that and now my three are not only my kids but my very special friends. I see your boys with you……there may be a fleeting stage which is as it should be, but they will always want to be with their mom.
Enjoy your vacation.
Thanks, TK, as always, and a GREAT morning to you all.
MassBay, I totally agree! One of the best mornings ev-ah! These are the days I think about when I am shovelling out the driveway!
To all who have the week or time off, please enjoy great times with family and friends!
Happy July and Happy Canada Day!
Is this Saturday going to be another of those possible “severe” days like this past weekend?
Doubtful.
There’s often some chance a storm can go severe, but looking out that far out I don’t see a setup to support severe weather.
That’s good, but I’m still getting sick of even ordinary garden variety t-storms. It seems every weekend lately one day or both have showers of some sort. Maybe it hasn’t been that frequent but it seems like it to me. I guess I’m like the rest of the general public these days. 🙂
Thanks TK !
2 of many photos I shot of Sutton’s first 4th of July fireworks display (held on June 30).

Beautiful pictures TK.
What a day

Someone stole the breeze. And they painted the sky grey. 🙂
i think the real heat/humidity holds off till next week with more wide spread 90-95 temps. PS sorry for short text, its hard to type with one hand
How are you feeling?
Well if it is going to be that way up here I am going to feel the heat and humidity big time on vacation next week down in Virginia.
I remember you love Virginia JJ. It is a beautiful part of our country. I hope your weather is perfect and you have an amazing time
Thank you Vicki
When I am seeing highs 90-95 that does not feel so bad compared to 2017 when it was high temps 100-105 and heat index in 110s for a couple days. To this day that was the most intense heat I have ever experienced in my life.
Yikes. Makes sense. We had 114 in Spokane WA years ago but it was very dry. Although Macs cousin in AZ said 110s are 110s no matter how dry
Hopefully mother nature keeps the big thunderstorms away until I get back. Next Wednesday when I am away it will be the 30th anniversary of the Northeastern Tornado Outbreak. What a day of weather that was and if twitter existed back then it would have been lighting up like a Christmas tree during the event and prior to the event.
Might have a really nice push of cool Canadian air sometime next week. Bit of a see-saw pattern ahead, but a little heat before that (hottest days Friday & Saturday).
Those two days is that this Friday & Saturday or next week .
It’s definitely not this Friday, that will be rather warm to hot.
Next Saturday, too far away to know.
New post!
