Good morning to this corner of whw also. I’m a bit worried about arod since we have not heard from him in a bit….or did I miss a post. I’m hoping I did
As you know, Macs parents lived there for several while my FIL got the Goodyear plant back in gear. May I share with Macs brother?
Yes, indeed, Vicki. You’ve told me about the connection.
In the article I included a photo of the city’s Grund neighborhood. You’ll see the Alzette river in the foreground. You’ll also see there’s a resemblence, architecturally and geographically (and just so happens in terms of size) between Luxembourg City and Quebec City.
Where are these cases of Kawasaki disease in children coming from lately?
NYC has reported 75 cases, I believe. Italy and France have also reported dozens of cases.
Wednesday’s recap for U.S.: Descent from the long plateau continues in terms of new cases (and deaths if we look at the 7-day average), albeit at a slow pace. 22.5k new cases today, and 1,770 deaths. Better numbers than last Wednesday, but not the best Wednesday in the last 6 weeks in terms of deaths.
Notably, UK quietly surpassed Italy in terms of deaths 5 days ago, and nobody seems to be talking about it. UK’s crude case fatality rate is horrifically bad. And, the NHS doesn’t report recovered cases. Yes, there is a country that’s done a worse job than the U.S.
For anyone who has enjoyed frozen and whose kids have. My oldest just shared this. Very special

I sure hope all is well.
No deaths reported yesterday. Great news!
Sorry, that was just for Boston, not the state.
Still awesome news. Thanks Sue

Treading water, mostly. Small drop in ICU numbers, but too much death and test positivity is too high.
Suffolk Co. (Boston area) still troubling…
For those interested, I wrote a Forbes piece about how the small nation of Luxembourg (about the size of Rhode Island) has embarked on a plan to test all its inhabitants for coronavirus by early June. https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2020/05/13/as-a-tiny-nation-tests-all-inhabitants-for-coronavirus-the-world-awaits-the-results/#5ccf65a23784
